    On a server running Debian Wheezy and Samba ver 3 with a tdb backend, how do I restrict a single user from changing the password? This account is one of 2 generic accounts, one for students and one for Teachers on Call (TOC). The users are created, but I'm not deploying the server yet. When looking through Google, I came across setting the maximum password age, but not setting the minumum password age (I'd be happy with a 5 year password...)

    I've ran into this cryptic statement for SQL Server: Files Per Database 32,767. What does that mean exactly? Is there a maximum number of tables for a given version of SQL Server. We try to support SQL Server post 2005 32-bit and 64-bit. So if anyone has a handy dandy table they use to figure out how many tables they can have per DB for Microsoft SQL Servers I'd heartily appreciate seeing it.

  • Can I increase Windows 7 start menu vertical size to let mire items fit in it?

    I hate putting shortcuts/files on desktop as well as crawling through "All Programs" menu any frequently (and I only pin some essential every-day applications to the task bar). So, I put all the programs I occasionally use to the start menu itself (above the automatic recently used programs section). But even though I've switched it to use small icons, I run out of vertical space in it (just about 16 shortcuts fit there at maximum).

    I have recently bought myself a new monitor, now I'd had my previous screen well over 5 years now so I'm looking at this one thinking the picture doesn't quite look right (not bad, just different). Rather than just wait until I'm used to the new picture I'd rather get it fine tuned, then get used to it - so I can reap the maximum benefit.   • If a user is part of two TFS security groups, why do they (appear to) receive the lesser security of the two?

    Given two TFS security groups Admins: Contains a set of Windows users Friends: Contains a Windows Security Group (which is also used as a mailing list) However, the people listed as admins are also part of the security group. It appears that when I lock down the Friends group to certain directories in TFS, the people in Admin also lose their privileges. Is there any way for users to receive the maximum security allowed between multiple groups they are included in? Or have I perhaps setup my TFS security groups incorrectly?

    I read here that You need buffer pool a bit (say 10%) larger than your data (total size of Innodb TableSpaces) On the other hand I've read elswher that innodb_buffer_pool_size must be up to %80 of the memory. So I'm really confused how should I choose the best size for the pool. My database size is about 6GB and my total memory 64GB. Also I'm wondering if I increase the buffer pool size, I should shrink the number of maximum connections to make room for extra buffer, or these parameters are independent. Thanks

    RE: Putting this out there in case someone else runs into this issue. The intel chipset is on-board. I discovered the reason for the crappy resolution in windows 7 was that the memory to share with the video card was set to 1MB in the BIOS. Is there any free tool which will take a single image, and output a single image containing several rotations? It should also ideally let us control how many images are in each row. e.g if I have a 32x32 sprite and I want it rotated at 10 degree intervals, the tool might generate a 320x32 file or a 160x64 file
