    I have created a database and some dbo.tables. Now I want to create a user that are can read and write to these tables, but not modify or drop. However I want this user to be able to create own tables and let him do what he want with these. Is this possible? Could someone explain how this can be done?

I know that Webmin has a Perl API that makes it easy to parse and modify most common configuration pro grammatically, while preserving changes that might have been made by hand. Are there any other libraries that has similar functionality, perhaps for other languages (Python, Ruby, C, C++, etc)?

    I'm trying to make some source code for a library I downloaded work with a proxy server. The library uses sockets to connect to a server but if the client using the library is behind a proxy server it can't connect. Does anyone know how I can modify the socket to be able to connect to the server through a proxy server? I really want to just do this with the sockets in the library without having to change too much code to use WebRequest or something similar

    I have a branch checked out in Tortoise 1.4.2, edited it in 1.6.2 and now can't modify it on my old machine running 1.4.2. The latest version on the Tortoise website is 1.6.7. Are versions 1.6.x interoperable? I'm stuck with version 1.6.2 on my new machine.

    I followed these steps: download x-debug*.dll to D:\Program Files\webserver\php\ext\php_xdebug.dll modify php.ini and insert following zend_extension_ts="D:\Program Files\webserver\php\ext\php_xdebug.dll" xdebug.remote_enable=1 xdebug.remote_handler=dbgp xdebug.remote_mode=req xdebug.idekey=default xdebug.remote_autostart=1 restart apache and XDebug is successfully installed. DBGP is installed successfully and configured with 127.0.0.1 but XDebugger is still not connecting/working with notepad++.

I wondering if there was a System Property or environment variable that we could provide at start up that would allow us to have all expired cert's ignored for now, or even be more specific and provide externally the specific cert that we would like to have the expiration ignored.     I'm using Ion Auth and trying to implement the forgotten password feature which relies upon an email being sent from CI. My LAMP server is on a shared cPanel account and uses sendmail. However, I have the ability to over-ride any PHP settings with my own php.ini file in the public_html directory. As per the CodeIgniter 2 documentation for configuring email sending, I have done the following... 1) created a file called located at application/config/email.php 2) email.php contains this code: <?php if ( ! defined('BASEPATH')) exit('No direct script access allowed'); /* | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | EMAIL SENDING SETTINGS | ------------------------------------------------------------------- */ $config['protocol'] = 'sendmail'; /* End of file email.php */ /* Location: ./application/config/email.php */ 3) The in the application/config/ion_auth.php file, I set this value to TRUE $config['use_ci_email'] = TRUE; The email is successfully sent, but I get a variety of PHP Error Warnings on all pages. These appear on all pages, sometimes two or three times in a row: A PHP Error was encountered Severity: Warning Message: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are required to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/New_York' for 'EST/-5.0/no DST' instead Filename: libraries/Email.php Line Number: 704 A PHP Error was encountered Severity: Warning Message: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. I don't see any other email sending options in the documentation that is related to these particular Warning Messages. When I remove my config/email.php file AND set Ion Auth's use_ci_email to FALSE, the Error Warnings go away. Where did I go wrong? Just before I hit the submit button, I solved this problem. I'm still going to post this question as a learning experience for others. If nobody solves this after a reasonable amount of time, I'll post the solution.

    Hey guys, I've been trying to cross-compile Spidermonkey and I am stuck with the problem wherein prtypes.h(NSPR) is unrecognizable. I alread triedy modifying Makefile.ref/config.mk/jsconfig.mk to point to a desired NSPR/DIS directory. I must have missed some basic steps because it still won't make things work. Do you have any ideas on how to properly modify the makefiles to point my spidermonkey to the right NSPR libraries? Thanks!

    In coding up your view templates you can render a partial and pass an array of objects to be rendered once per object. OR you can use a For blank in @blank loop. How do you decide when to do which? It seems that if you use a partial for every iterable object you will end up having to modify tons of separate files to make changes to potentially one view. With the loops you can see everything right there in one file.

    On Wikipedia I found information about bezier curves and made a function to generate the inbetween points for a bezier polygon. I noticed that Expression Design uses bezier handles. This allows a circle to be made with 4 points each with a bezier handle. I'm just not sure mathematically how this works in relation with the formula for bezier point at time T. How do these handle vectors work to modify the shape? Basically what's there relation to the bezier formula? Thanks

    I'm hoping that there's a relatively simple way to rotate a webpage a little bit, 30 degrees or so, while still leaving it fully functional and usable. I completely control the page, and can modify it to make this easier if needed. I'd rather not re-write the whole thing in SVG, though, but perhaps javascript and canvas will work? Emacs for me right now tends to do indentation on braces as follows: if( ... ) { } Which I find incredibly irritating; I've never even seen this behaviour anywhere else.
