  • Properties of JavaScript objects

    - by clothears
    In my JavaScript, I'm using an object as an associative array. It always has the property "main", and may have others. So, when I create it I might do this: var myobject = new Object (); myobject["main"] = somevalue; Other properties may be added later. Now, at some moment I need to know whether myobject has just the one property, or several, and take different actions depending (I'm only referring to properties I've created). So far all I've found to do is something like: flag = false; for (i in myobject) { if (i=="main") continue; flag = true; break; } and then branch on flag. Or: for (i in myobject) { if (i=="main") continue; do_some_actions (); break; } These approaches work but feel to me like I've overlooked something. Is there a better approach?

  • NHibernate flush should save only dirty objects

    - by Emilian
    Why NHibernate fires an update on firstOrder when saving secondOrder in the code below? I'm using optimistic locking on Order. Is there a way to tell NHibernate to update firstOrder when saving secondOrder only if firstOrder was modified? // Configure var cfg = new Configuration(); var configFile = Path.Combine( AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory, "NHibernate.MySQL.config"); cfg.Configure(configFile); // Create session factory var sessionFactory = cfg.BuildSessionFactory(); // Create session var session = sessionFactory.OpenSession(); // Set session to flush on transaction commit session.FlushMode = FlushMode.Commit; // Create first order var firstOrder = new Order(); var firstOrder_OrderLine = new OrderLine { ProductName = "Bicycle", ProductPrice = 120.00M, Quantity = 1 }; firstOrder.Add(firstOrder_OrderLine); // Save first order using (var tx = session.BeginTransaction()) { try { session.Save(firstOrder); tx.Commit(); } catch { tx.Rollback(); } } // Create second order var secondOrder = new Order(); var secondOrder_OrderLine = new OrderLine { ProductName = "Hat", ProductPrice = 12.00M, Quantity = 1 }; secondOrder.Add(secondOrder_OrderLine); // Save second order using (var tx = session.BeginTransaction()) { try { session.Save(secondOrder); tx.Commit(); } catch { tx.Rollback(); } } session.Close(); sessionFactory.Close();

  • Cloning objects in C#

    - by Alison
    I want to do something like... myObject myObj = GetmyObj()//create and fill a new object myObject newObj = myObj.Clone(); ...and then make changes to the new object that are not reflected in the original object. I don't often need this functionality so when it's been necessary I've resorted to creating a new object and then copying each property individually but it always leaves me with the feeling that there is a better/more elegant way of handling the situation. How can I clone/deep copy an object so that the cloned object can be modified without any changes being reflected in the original object?

  • Handling button presses in Gtk2::Image objects

    - by willert
    I've been trying to get an Gtk2::Image object in this perl Gtk2 application to get to react to button presses, but to no avail. The image shows as expected but the button events don't get handled. What am I missing? my $img = Gtk2::Image-new_from_file( $file ); $img-set_property( sensitive = 1 ); $img-can_focus( 1 ); $img-set_events([qw/ button-press-mask button-release-mask /]); $img-signal_connect( 'button-press-event' = sub { my ( $self, $event ) = @_; print STDERR "Coords: ", $event-get_coords; return; }); $window-add( $img ); $window-show_all;

  • std::map operator[] and automatically created new objects

    - by thomas-gies
    I'm a little bit scared about something like this: std::map<DWORD, DWORD> tmap; tmap[0]+=1; tmap[0]+=1; tmap[0]+=1; Since DWORD's are not automatically initialized, I'm always afraid of tmap[0] being a random number that is incremented. How does the map know hot to initialize a DWORD if the runtime does not know how to do it? Is it guaranteed, that the result is always tmap[0] == 3?

  • Set tag and hidden for objects on custom UITableViewCell

    - by Rob
    I am re-using Apple's AdvancedTableViewCells example to create a custom, fast-scrolling tableview. Specifically, I am using their CompositeSubviewBasedApplicationCell method which draws the content on the tableviewcell with drawRect Everything works, but how do you hide a label or set the tag for a label or image using their method? Doing it this way is pretty new to me (without IB), so I apologize ahead of time if it's something easy. The code that sets the cell content is: - (void)drawRect:(CGRect)rect { [_cell.animalIcon drawAtPoint:CGPointMake(5.0, 5.0)]; [_cell.animalName drawAtPoint:CGPointMake(93.0, 25.0)]; _highlighted ? [[UIColor whiteColor] set] : [[UIColor colorWithWhite:0.23 alpha:1.0] set]; [_cell.animalDescription drawAtPoint:CGPointMake(100.0, 54.0) withFont:[UIFont boldSystemFontOfSize:13.0]]; [_cell.animalNameString drawAtPoint:CGPointMake(93.0, 5.0) withFont:[UIFont boldSystemFontOfSize:13.0]]; }

  • Groovy: How to access objects with Id tag?

    - by skifan0
    Hello, I have the following Groovy+SwingBuilder code. In one panel I generate checkboxes and in another panel I want to access the values of the checkboxes. The code looks basically likes this: def optionsmap = [ foo : "value_foo", bar : "value_bar"] SwingBuilder.build() { frame(title:'demo1', size:[400,700], visible:true, defaultCloseOperation:WC.EXIT_ON_CLOSE) { gridLayout(rows: 1, cols: 2) panel(id:'optionPanel', constraints:java.awt.BorderLayout.CENTER) { gridLayout(rows: 5, cols: 1) myGroup = buttonGroup(); for (entry in optionsmap) { checkBox(id: entry.key, text: entry.value ) } } panel(constraints:java.awt.BorderLayout.WEST) { button ('Show values', actionPerformed: { for (entry in optionsmap) { println (entry.key as Class).text } }) } } } optionsmap is a map with (id, text) pairs that can be extended. When I press "show values" I get an error message: org.codehaus.groovy.runtime.typehandling.GroovyCastException: Cannot cast object 'foo' with class 'java.lang.String' to class 'java.lang.Class' How could I access the checkboxes for my action in the second panel by using the checkbox ids from optionsmap? Thank you if you can help

  • Subsonic custom mapping of objects to tables

    - by codekaizen
    Geeting, I'm using Compact Framework 3.5 and have tenatively settled on a custom build of Subsonic 3.0 to do data access. The trouble is that I am used to developing model-first but am also interested in keeping control of my DB schema. Therefore, neither ActiveRecord or Repository appears to meet my needs, and I want to use my existing POCO model and map it to my existing tables. I'm used to doing this via NHibernate and Entity Framework. After some investigation, it appears that I might be able to author a custom QueryMapping to give me the custom mapping I want. Before I start down this path, however, I'd like to see some kind of example of this being done. I can't seem to find any on the web, and wonder if anyone could give input on experience with Subsonic, model-first and a custom Table-per-Type and Table-per-Hierarchy mapping.

  • Pointer-Safe Objects?

    - by cam
    Would it be smart to have a vector in an object with a list of pointers that point to it? This way when the object is deleted, it could delete all the pointers pointing to it to prevent a null-pointer exception?

  • Convert .Net Color Objects to HEX codes and Back

    - by Damien
    As per the question title, How could I take a hex code and convert it to a .Net Color object, and do it the other way? I googled and keep getting the same way which doesn't work. ColorTranslator.ToHtml(renderedChart.ForeColor) Which returns the name of the color as in 'White' instead of '#ffffff'! Doing it the other way seems to have odd results, only working some of the time...

  • Disposing of Objects with long living dependencies

    - by Ray Booysen
    public class ABC { public ABC(IEventableInstance dependency) { dependency.ANewEvent += MyEventHandler; } private void MyEventHandler(object sender, EventArgs e) { //Do Stuff } } Let us say that an instance of ABC is a long living object and that my dependency is an even longer running object. When an instance of ABC needs to be cleaned up, I have two options. One I could have a Cleanup() method to unsubscribe from the ANewEvent event or I could implement IDisposable and in the Dispose unwire the event. Now I have no control over whether the consumer will call the dispose method or even the Cleanup method should I go that route. Should I implement a Finaliser and unsubscribe then? It feels dirty but I do not want hanging instances of ABC around. Thoughts?

  • Multiple Graphics2D Objects

    - by Trizicus
    I have a Graphics object of JPanel and that is working fine: import java.awt.Color; import java.awt.Graphics; import java.awt.Graphics2D; import java.awt.geom.Rectangle2D; import javax.swing.JPanel; public class GraphicsTest extends JPanel { private Graphics2D g2d; private String state; private int x, y; @Override public void paintComponent(Graphics g) { super.paintComponent(g); g2d = (Graphics2D) g; g2d.setClip(0, 0, getWidth(), getHeight()); g2d.setColor(Color.BLACK); g2d.drawString("STATE: " + state, 5, 15); g2d.drawString("Mouse Position: " + x + ", " + y, 5, 30); g2d.setColor(Color.red); Rectangle2D r2d = new Rectangle2D.Double(x,y,10,10); g2d.draw(r2d); Test t = new Test(); super.add(t); repaint(); } public void setState(String state) { this.state = state; } public String getState() { return state; } public void setX(int x) { this.x = x; } public void setY(int y) { this.y = y; } } I was experimenting with a new Graphics component and when I instantiate a new Test and add it in GraphicsTest nothing happens. What is it that I am doing wrong? import java.awt.Color; import java.awt.Graphics; import java.awt.Graphics2D; import java.awt.geom.Rectangle2D; import javax.swing.JComponent; public class Test extends JComponent { private Graphics2D g2d; private String state; private int x, y; @Override public void paintComponent(Graphics g) { super.paintComponent(g); g2d = (Graphics2D) g.create(); g2d.setColor(Color.GREEN); g2d.fill(new Rectangle2D.Double(60, 60, 10, 10)); repaint(); } public void setState(String state) { this.state = state; } public String getState() { return state; } public void setX(int x) { this.x = x; } public void setY(int y) { this.y = y; } } Thanks!

  • Convert in memory POCO objects to c# code to initialize

    - by sidesinger
    Is there a library or code sample for converting an in memory POCO c# object to a .cs code file that creates that object. An example: object of type car in memory becomes: Car c = new Car { Name = "mazda", Id = 5, Passengers = new List<string> { "Bob", "Sally" } // etc... recursing to the bottom }; I could assume it could only set public properties.

  • PNGException "crc corruption" when attempting to create ImageIcon objects from ZIP archive

    - by Nathan Strong
    I've got a ZIP file containing a number of PNG images that I am trying to load into my Java application as ImageIcon resources directly from the archive. Here's my code: import java.io.*; import java.util.Enumeration; import java.util.zip.*; import javax.swing.ImageIcon; public class Test { public static void main( String[] args ) { if( args.length == 0 ) { System.out.println("usage: java Test.java file.zip"); return; } File archive = new File( args[0] ); if( !archive.exists() || !archive.canRead() ) { System.err.printf("Unable to find/access %s.\n", archive); return; } try { ZipFile zip = new ZipFile(archive); Enumeration <? extends ZipEntry>e = zip.entries(); while( e.hasMoreElements() ) { ZipEntry entry = (ZipEntry) e.nextElement(); int size = (int) entry.getSize(); int count = (size % 1024 == 0) ? size / 1024 : (size / 1024)+1; int offset = 0; int nread, toRead; byte[] buffer = new byte[size]; for( int i = 0; i < count; i++ ) { offset = 1024*i; toRead = (size-offset > 1024) ? 1024 : size-offset; nread = zip.getInputStream(entry).read(buffer, offset, toRead); } ImageIcon icon = new ImageIcon(buffer); // boom -- why? } zip.close(); } catch( IOException ex ) { System.err.println(ex.getMessage()); } } } The sizes reported by entry.getSize() match the uncompressed size of the PNG files, and I am able to read the data out of the archive without any exceptions, but the creation of the ImageIcon blows up.   • JAXB does not call setter when unmarshalling objects

    - by Yaneeve
    Hi all, I am using JAXB 2.0 JDK 6 in order to unmarshall an XML instance into POJOs. In order to add some custom validation I have inserted a validation call into the setter of a property, yet despite it being private, it seems that the unmarshaller does not call the setter but directly modifies the private field. It is crucial to me that the custom validation occurs for this specific field every unmarshall call. What should I do? Code: @XmlAccessorType(XmlAccessType.FIELD) @XmlType(name = "LegalParams", propOrder = { "value" }) public class LegalParams { private static final Logger LOG = Logger.getLogger(LegalParams.class); @XmlTransient private LegalParamsValidator legalParamValidator; public LegalParams() { try { WebApplicationContext webApplicationContext = ContextLoader.getCurrentWebApplicationContext(); LegalParamsFactory legalParamsFactory = (LegalParamsFactory) webApplicationContext.getBean("legalParamsFactory"); HttpSession httpSession = SessionHolder.getInstance().get(); legalParamValidator = legalParamsFactory.newLegalParamsValidator(httpSession); } catch (LegalParamsException lpe) { LOG.warn("Validator related error occurred while attempting to construct a new instance of LegalParams"); throw new IllegalStateException("LegalParams creation failure", lpe); } catch (Exception e) { LOG.warn("Spring related error occurred while attempting to construct a new instance of LegalParams"); throw new IllegalStateException("LegalParams creation failure", e); } } @XmlValue private String value; /** * Gets the value of the value property. * * @return * possible object is * {@link String } * */ public String getValue() { return value; } /** * Sets the value of the value property. * * @param value * allowed object is * {@link String } * @throws TestCaseValidationException * */ public void setValue(String value) throws TestCaseValidationException { legalParamValidator.assertValid(value); this.value = value; } }

  • Relying on nhibernate's second level cache vs pushing objects into asp.net session

    - by AhmetC
    I have some big entities which are frequently accessed in the same session. For example, in my application there is a reporting page which consist of dynamically generated chart images. For each chart image on this page, the client makes requests to corresponding controller and the controller generates images using some entities. I can either use asp.net's session dictionary for "caching" those entities or rely on nhibernate's second level cache support with using cached queries for example. What is your opinion? By the way I will use shared hosting, is nhibernate's second level cache hosting friendly? Thanks.

  • How to add objects to association in OnPreInsert, OnPreUpdate

    - by Dmitriy Nagirnyak
    Hi, I have an event listener (for Audit Logs) which needs to append audit log entries to the association of the object: public Company : IAuditable { // Other stuff removed for bravety IAuditLog IAuditable.CreateEntry() { var entry = new CompanyAudit(); this.auditLogs.Add(entry); return entry; } public virtual IEnumerable<CompanyAudit> AuditLogs { get { return this.auditLogs } } } The AuditLogs collection is mapped with cascading: public class CompanyMap : ClassMap<Company> { public CompanyMap() { // Id and others removed fro bravety HasMany(x => x.AuditLogs).AsSet() .LazyLoad() .Access.ReadOnlyPropertyThroughCamelCaseField() .Cascade.All(); } } And the listener just asks the auditable object to create log entries so it can update them: internal class AuditEventListener : IPreInsertEventListener, IPreUpdateEventListener { public bool OnPreUpdate(PreUpdateEvent ev) { var audit = ev.Entity as IAuditable; if (audit == null) return false; Log(audit); return false; } public bool OnPreInsert(PreInsertEvent ev) { var audit = ev.Entity as IAuditable; if (audit == null) return false; Log(audit); return false; } private static void LogProperty(IAuditable auditable) { var entry = auditable.CreateAuditEntry(); entry.CreatedAt = DateTime.Now; entry.Who = GetCurrentUser(); // Might potentially execute a query. // Also other information is set for entry here } } The problem with it though is that it throws TransientObjectException when commiting the transaction: NHibernate.TransientObjectException : object references an unsaved transient instance - save the transient instance before flushing. Type: PropConnect.Model.UserAuditLog, Entity: PropConnect.Model.UserAuditLog at NHibernate.Engine.ForeignKeys.GetEntityIdentifierIfNotUnsaved(String entityName, Object entity, ISessionImplementor session) at NHibernate.Type.EntityType.GetIdentifier(Object value, ISessionImplementor session) at NHibernate.Type.ManyToOneType.NullSafeSet(IDbCommand st, Object value, Int32 index, Boolean[] settable, ISessionImplementor session) at NHibernate.Persister.Collection.AbstractCollectionPersister.WriteElement(IDbCommand st, Object elt, Int32 i, ISessionImplementor session) at NHibernate.Persister.Collection.AbstractCollectionPersister.PerformInsert(Object ownerId, IPersistentCollection collection, IExpectation expectation, Object entry, Int32 index, Boolean useBatch, Boolean callable, ISessionImplementor session) at NHibernate.Persister.Collection.AbstractCollectionPersister.Recreate(IPersistentCollection collection, Object id, ISessionImplementor session) at NHibernate.Action.CollectionRecreateAction.Execute() at NHibernate.Engine.ActionQueue.Execute(IExecutable executable) at NHibernate.Engine.ActionQueue.ExecuteActions(IList list) at NHibernate.Engine.ActionQueue.ExecuteActions() at NHibernate.Event.Default.AbstractFlushingEventListener.PerformExecutions(IEventSource session) at NHibernate.Event.Default.DefaultFlushEventListener.OnFlush(FlushEvent event) at NHibernate.Impl.SessionImpl.Flush() at NHibernate.Transaction.AdoTransaction.Commit() As the cascading is set to All I expected NH to handle this. I also tried to modify the collection using state but pretty much the same happens. So the question is what is the last chance to modify object's associations before it gets saved? Thanks, Dmitriy.

  • Passing complex objects to javascript via IScriptControl

    - by Jeff Dege
    I'm playing around with a asp.net page that's using the IScriptControl interface to pass data from the code-behind to the custom javascript object running on the browser. I'm passing a number of properties via IScriptControl.GetScriptDescriptors(), and they're all working fine, except for one. That one is a class derived from System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary<. And even that one has been working for me, so long as the elements in the collection were scalars - ints, doubles, and strings. But when I tried to pass a member of a class, it showed up as a null object in the javascript. The class in question is marked [Serializable]. I changed it to a struct, and got the same behavior. It looks as if the serializer used in IScriptControl does a shallow copy. I need a deep copy. Any ideas?

  • Insert a list of objects using MyBatis 3

Does someone have a clue about what's this error? Or if does exists a better way to do multiples inserts operation. Many thanks!

  • unable to add objects to saved collection in GAE using JDO

    - by Jeffrey Chee
    I have a ClassA containing an ArrayList of another ClassB I can save a new instance of ClassA with ClassB instances also saved using JDO. However, When I retrieve the instance of Class A, I try to do like the below: ClassA instance = PMF.get().getPersistenceManager().GetObjectByID( someid ); instance.GetClassBArrayList().add( new ClassB(...) ); I get an Exception like the below: Uncaught exception from servlet com.google.appengine.api.datastore.DatastoreNeedIndexException: no matching index found.. So I was wondering, Is it possible to add a new item to the previously saved collection? Or was it something I missed out. Best Regards

  • Delphi, VirtualStringTree - classes (objects) instead of records

    - by michal
    I need to use a class instead of record for VirtualStringTree node. Should I declare it standard (but in this case - tricky) way like that: PNode = ^TNode; TNode = record obj: TMyObject; end; //.. var fNd: PNode; begin fNd:= vstTree.getNodeData(vstTree.AddChild(nil)); fNd.obj:= TMyObject.Create; //.. or should I use directly TMyObject? If so - how?! How about assigning (constructing) the object and freeing it? Thanks in advance m.
