• Mule ESB - How to get MimeMessage instead of MimeBodyPart?

  I'm trying to get the FROM email address in Mule ESB. I'm getting the retrieved object as MimeBodyPart, I'd like to have MimeMessage instead. How to do this? Any solution - either in Mule or Java is welcome. • How can I get the unread/new messages from Gmail using POP3?

  Using the OpenPOP .net client for getting messages from Gmail. I'm wondering how I can get only the new messages? Currently, I get the atom feed and then get as many emails as the feed has with the OpenPOP client (starting from the first). • Pass elements of a list as arguments to a function in python

  I'm building a simple interpreter in python and I'm having trouble handling differing numbers of arguments to my functions. My current method is to get a list of the commands/arguments as follows. args = str(raw_input('>> ')).split() com = args.pop(0) Then to execute com, I check to see if it is in my dictionary of command- code mappings and if it is I call the function I have stored there. For a command with no arguments, this would look like: commands[com]() However, if a command had multiple arguments, I would want this: commands[com](args[0],args[1]) Is there some trick where I could pass some (or all) of the elements of my arg list to the function that I'm trying to call? Or is there a better way of implementing this without having to use python's cmd class?

• Sync a WinForm with DatagridView

  I have a Form with a DataGridView which DataSource is a BindingSource to a table. This view will have a single row selection and a button to delete, edit the current selected row in a popup Form and a insert button that will use the same Form as well. My question is how can I sync the pop Form with the current row? I tryied to use the RowStateChanged event to get and store the current selected Row to be used in the Form but I coudnt. After the event I get the row that was selected before. Other thing I dont understand yet in C# how to have a single recordSet and know wich is the current record even if its a new being inserted in a way that once in the Form all data being entered will show up at the same time in the DataGridView.

• jquery-ui from a bookmarklet

  Hi I'm trying to create a bookmarklet which will use the jquery-ui - what steps must I take to do this? My bookmarklet loads a remote script and appends it to the page. This script includes jquery and jquery-ui, but getting the stylesheets and images is turning into a nightmare. Do I have to edit all the CSS to point images to their locations on the remote server? Effectively what I'm trying to do is have a bookmarklet which will pop up some information in a nice pretty draggable jquery-ui dialog. Is there an easier way? Thanks, Mala

  How do I programmatically read an incoming email with .NET. I need a method to take the content of email message (in this case XML) on a POP server and read it into my application. Ideally this could be solved by: .NET code that I can run as a background task on my webserver to process the email. A service that can POST the contents of the email to my webserver. Although I'm open to other options. EDIT: Copied from the "non-answer": Currently, we're looking at using the email accounts our hosting company provides. Our own mail server could potentially be an option, but its something the we'd need to contact the host about.

• WCF - WebReferences not working

  At the client end, I have generated a Proxy using SvcUtil.exe and it is working fine. Then I have added a WebReference to the client assembly and calling the same method. But it is not working. My program is running in console mode and the method is suppose to return a string. It is not returning the string. I just see a blank console window. No exception is thrown. And after setting a debug point on the method call I see that, program is halted on the method call for ever. What should I look for to solve the problem? I am using VS2005. And adding the webReference by right-clicking the client project and then clicking "Add Web Reference" pop-up menu.

  I am doing my first steps with TDD. The problem is (as probably with everyone starting with TDD), I never know very well what kind of unit tests to do when I start working in my projects. Let's assume I want to write a Stack class with the following methods(I choose it as it's an easy example): Stack<T> - Push(element : T) - Pop() : T - Seek() : T - Count : int - IsEmpty : boolean How would you approch this? I never understood if the idea is to test a few corner cases for each method of the Stack class or start by doing a few "use cases" with the class, like adding 10 elements and removing them. What is the idea? To make code that uses the Stack as close as possible to what I'll use in my real code? Or just make simple "add one element" unit tests where I test if IsEmpty and Count were changed by adding that element? How am I supposed to start with this?

  I'm working on an application that needs to display a context menu on screen in various scenarios. In the function I'm writing, I don't have access to any NSWindows or NSViews. I'd like to use popUpMenuPositioningItem:atLocation:inView as this function works perfectly for me in 10.6. However, we have a requirement to support 10.5, so this function isn't available to me. The feature I'm most interested in, as stated in the documentation is: If view is nil, the location is interpreted in the screen coordinate system. This allows you to pop up a menu disconnected from any window. Basically, I need to display the context menu given a location on screen, but without any associated view. Is there any way to achieve this on 10.5?

This works as intended. My problem is that I now want to turn this single form into a formset. What I can't figure out is how I can pass the affiliate information to the individual forms when creating the formset. According to the docs to make a formset out of this I need to do something like this: ServiceFormSet = forms.formsets.formset_factory(ServiceForm, extra=3) And then I need to create it like this: formset = ServiceFormSet() Now how can I pass affiliate=request.affiliate to the individual forms this way?

• UITextFields losing values after UINavigationController activity

  This is going to be hard to demonstrate in code, but maybe you can picture it with me. I have a view that contains two UITextFields, "title" and "descr". That same view contains two UIButtons that push another controller onto the navController to get more detail from the user about the object we're assembling and ultimately uploading to my server. It appears that pushing another view on, doing something, and popping it back off results in the two UITextFields keeping their content VISUALLY, but the .text property of those fields becomes NULL. I've confirmed that if I do my two push-pop fields before filling in those UITextFields, I get my data when I upload, and if I do them in the opposite order, I don't. It LOOKS like there's data there, but I get nothing when I NSLog their .text properties. Is this normal? Do I need to just design around this? Or is this as weird as it seems, and I should be looking deeper at causes of this?

• What is your strategy to avoid dynamic typing errors in Python (NoneType has not attribute x)?

  Python is one of my favorite languages, but I really have a love/hate relationship with it's dynamicness. Apart from the advantages, it often results in me forgetting to check a type, trying to call an attribute and getting the NoneType (or any other) has no attribute x error. A lot of them are pretty harmless but if not handled correctly they can bring down your entire app/process/etc. Over time I got better predicting where these could pop up and adding explicit type checking, but because I'm only human I miss one occasionally and then some end-user finds it. So I'm interested in your strategy to avoid these. Do you use type-checking decorators? Maybe special object wrappers? Please share...

The problem is that when I close the dialog box and then I click on the link that triggers it, it does not pop-up again unless I refresh the page.   I need to make a little JS app to scroll automatically through a list of URLs. I've chosen to have the functionality in a pop-up, for various reasons. The syntax to change the opening window's URL is: window.opener.location.href = "http://www.example.com"; This works fine with one URL, but if two statements are called, only one is executed. I experimented with an alert statement between two of the above statements, and the alert event made the second statement function properly: window.opener.location.href = "http://www.example1.com"; alert("hello world"); window.opener.location.href = "http://www.example2.com"; Question is: does anyone know how to get the first and second window.opener statements to work, without the intervening alert();? Also, how can I add a pause between the two statements, so that the second executes a couple of seconds after the first? Thanks so much!

• Keyboard in HTML text-input disappear when WebView call 'loadUrl' again

  Hi there, I use WebView for my Androind App. I got a problem and request a solution for help. There is a textfield in the HTML page. When it gets 'focus' and then I call mWebView.setFocusableInTouchMode(true); in Java code so that the Android soft-keyboard will pop-up to let me key in. The problem is I need using multi-thread for some processes in Java and call mWebView.loadUrl(strJSCall); as callback to execute JavaScript function, but the keyboard gets hidden! The way I try is to force the keyboard to show again. But how can the keyboard always show when 'loadUrl' is called? Dose anyone meet the same issue and solve it already? Sincerely, Jr.

I know you can use gmail as an outbound SMTP server, but is there any way to access new messages sent to the account? EDIT: Thanks for the rapid feedback....so I have two options, POP or IMAP.   These days I tried to apply a free third pary CA ( www.cacert.org & www.freeca.cn ) and then set up Tomcat SSL with the CA. My purpose is to eliminate the "Certificate Error" page when accessing https://... from a client browser. But it's a little hard for me to get around it. My steps to apply a free CA, from www.freeca.cn I used keytool to generate a cer file with command: keytool -genkey ... // Generate a key keytool -certreq ... // Generate a cert file and then I got some code from the cert file, and paste onto www.freeca.cn to generate a cer file. Then I imported the cer file keytool -import -alias abc -file MyABC.cer -keystore mykeystorefile.store And then I set up the mykeystorefile.store into tomcat /conf/server.xml, but it didn't work, sill pop "Certificate Error" page when trying to access https://.... Can someone help me? Thanks

  i have a page inside iframe, so i set the header to "P3P","CP=\"IDC DSP COR ADM DEVi TAIi PSA PSD IVAi IVDi CONi HIS OUR IND CNT\"" after that my page inside iframe able to load properly and i able to authenticate user with 'form' post . but on ie6, when i post 'form' inside iframe, i get ie6 message 'file download security warning on javascript file' . those javascript files are put on 'head' of pages inside iframe. how comes ie6 suddenly pop up dialog asking to download those files? anyone know which p3p parameter cause this problem?

• How to load different XIBs for different device orientations for same viewcontroller?

  The documentation says that if I want to support both portrait and landscape, I basically have two ways of doing that: Set up the viewcontroller's view so that the subviews autoresize correctly and make smaller changes programmatically at runtime If the changes are more substantial, create an alternative landscape interface and push/pop the alternative modal viewcontroller at runtime I would like to present the info where the layout is substantially different, but logic is the same. Ideally, I would load another XIB for the same viewcontroller, but it does not seem to be an option. Sounds like #2 is what I need to do, but my problem with that is that it sounds like it would use the standard modalviewcontroller animations that are nothing like the device rotation animation. (Of course, being the lazywebber that I am, I did not test this hypothesis.) So, how do I load an alternative layout for landscape with the same viewcontroller but different XIB? Should I use the method #2 above and is the rotation animation natural? Or is there some other way?

• Lotus Notes doesn't send customised button

  Hi All, I created a customised button with some simple actions attached to it in Lotus Notes 6.5. It's just a simple voting button, which I emailed to a group of nearly 200 people. While sending I got a pop up telling me that the button can't be send. After about 10 seconds I got a first reply asking 'where's the button'. Then an avalanche of very clever emails followed, such as: 'no button', 'where's the button', etc. Before I spammed everyon I had tried the email on my work mate and the button went through fine! Any ideas? I suspect some security policy.... I really need to send this mail and get the survey results, so I don't want to fail again. Any suggestions appreciated. Many Thanks, Damo
