    as you probably know, if you have windows live account you can use free skydrive 25 gb storage. Even more a lot of people know that if you go to your skydrive in browser and copy cid query parameter value (https://...live.com/...&cid=xxxxxxxx ) you will be able to map skydrive as network drive in windows using this network pass \[cid].docs.live.net[cid]\ I do now that if you have network share like \server\folder i can map it in macos too, as smb://server/folder. however it is doesn't seem to be a case with skydrive when i try to map it as smb://[cid].docs.live.net/[cid] finder tells it can't connect. Anyone know how to map it ?

  • Mapping an sFTP connection to a Windows drive?

    I'm looking for a way to map an sFTP connection to a Windows (Vista) drive. In other words, a tool that would add a new drive (let's say N:) to my computer, that would directly point to my remote server via sFTP. That way, "N:\my_dir\file.txt" would actually be something like "/home/user/my_dir/file.txt" on the remote server. Reading the file on Windows would download it, and writing content in it would upload it...network transfers being made via sFTP. I'm aware of Novell NetDrive, but it has various issues with long filenames, and seems to corrupt UTF-8 files content depending on the BOM. Do you know about any reliable alternative ? Thanks ! Edit : I have complete control of the remote server, except that it's remote enough for me not to be able to physically access it.

  • Mac OS X Terminal.app Ubuntu 9.10 SSHD and incorrect keyboard mapping

    Does anyone have any Idea how to handle this? I can't stand connecting to certain Ubuntu boxes via Mac OS X because of issues with keyboard layout etc. I have set TERM=vt100 and TERM=xterm-color in Ubuntu .bashrc and also in the Terminal.app advanced preferences and nothing seems to fix this issue. Trying to use arrow keys on slim silver keyboard results in ^[[A etc. From Answer OS X 10.6.4 When I try to run /lib/terminfo/x/xterm-color I get permission denied? Maybe this is the issue?! Regular bash login shell. If I sudo often it works. Which leads me to believe the above permissions problem is the cause.   • FTP passive mode with limited port range?

    I am running FileZilla FTP Server with passive mode enabled, and due to firewall constraints I have to limit the passive mode port range to only 6 ports. My question is how would FileZilla handle any situation where more than 6 concurrent FTP connections are active and want to passively upload a file. Would it queue the connections and prioritise them in a first in, first out manner? I'm not too familiar with FTP so any insight would be appreciated.

    I have ssh set up so my users can only access sftp and port forwarding, how can I limit the number of concurrent logins on a per user basis? In my sshd_config I have UsePAM set to yes and in /etc/security/limits.conf I have: username - maxlogins 1 I also tried: username hard maxlogins 1 Neither of these works and the users can still log in multiple times.

    In my IIS 7.5 hosted in a Windows Server 2008 R2 I have several websites with no DNS address assigned. Let's take for instance the site (as named in IIS) with site name mySite. I have for this site the standard binding with no host name. Suppose that my server IP address is, for instance, 101.22.23.01. Therefore it seems logic to me that in order to access the website, I should place in the address bar of my browser: [IP_address]/[sitename] in this case: 101.22.23.01/mySite but it does not work. Shall I specify something else in the bindings?

    I have multiple IP addresses on the same server and I would like to redirect all outgoing traffic on port 80 to a different IP on the same server just no to use always main IP. Currently I'm using this: /sbin/iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth0 -j SNAT --to-source IP; and it works well, but it redirects everything and when I make backups over SSH backup it's failing. System: CentOS 5.8 64-bit

    I have two Windows VPS's that talk to each other. 1) I already firewall Remote Desktop to a few IPs. I want to require me to connect instead to the server via VPN (IPSec?) in order to then be able to RD. 2) I want to also only permit access to port 80 on the server if I am VPN'd in to the server (authenticated) 3) If possible, I want to secure communication between other VPS's I have using the same method?     I know that the address in ipv6 with prefix range 001 to 111 should use a 64-bit interface identifier that follows the EUI-64 format, which translates the MAC to ipv6 as below. MAC:00-02-b3-1e-83-29 --> 02-02-b3-ff-fe-1e-83-29 --->ipv6 addr: fe80::202:b3ff:fe1e:8329 Then I checked my network status with ipconfig /all on my windows XP, but it seems my ipv6 address doesn't follow the above rule: MAC:00-24-81-XX-XX-XX ipv6 addr:2001:da8:8006:225:0:24:81XX:XXXX Obviously it doesn't follow the EUI-64 format. Instead it just directly use the MAC as the last 8 bytes. Anyone know the reason? Pls Correct me if I am wrong.

    I'm using an AWS EC2 micro instance to run a wordpress blog. I've successfully mapped a subdomain to the Elastic IP for the micro instance. After a few minor changes, the URL I mapped to the Elastic IP (blog.example.com) opens up the wordpress home page but whenever I click on any of the wordpress links the domain changes to the AWS public DNS for that instance (http://ec2-123-45-678-910.compute-1.amazonaws.com/wordpress/). How do I fix the URLs so that they all follow the subdomain I have setup?

  • vim: mapping <control-j> key

    When I'm in insert mode, I sometimes want to be able to move around without using the arrow keys, and without having to go back into normal mode. So in my vimrc I've set up key bindings to do this: imap <C-l> <right> imap <C-h> <left> imap <C-k> <up> imap <C-j> <down> But for some odd reason the only one that doesn't work is the last one, . Doing this in insert mode just gives no response. I'm wondering why this might be, and I just don't know where to even begin looking for the problem. It doesn't appear to be mapped to anything since nothing happens when I do it, whether I'm in the terminal or in gvim. Any pointers would be great! Thanks!

  • Windows 2003 routing by port

    I have remote Windows 2003 server with two network interfaces e.g. Cn1 and Cn2. I need that all traffic goes through Cn1 except for one port (for me it's 3389, rdp for administration) that works over Cn2. Currently when I setup all connections work through Cn1, I completely lose connection over Cn2 - and can't connect to server via RDP over Cn2. Now I used static routing based on my ip address (which can changed - so it's bad).
