    I need to generate flowchart from business process specification (tasks, their input, output points, roles applicable for each task... ) stored in a database. What I need is javacript (preferably, open-sourced) library which can generate a shiny flowchart with swimlines. Ideally I should be able to edit workflow items connections and send changes back to database. Any recommendations?   • Fossil gpg workflow for teams

    I'm learning fossil and trying to reproduce a workflow for two people modifying the same source code tree. So, Alice and Bob both have local repositories of some source code. Both have autosync off. Alice hacks some more, does some commits signing check-ins with her gpg key. This part is fine, as Alice I've managed to generate gpg keys, fossil asked me the key password when commiting. I'm also aware of gpg-agent but don't use it yet, because I'm trying to keep things as simple as possible for now. Now, at some point Bob pulls changes from Alice's fossil repo. How would he verify Alice's signed check-ins?

    hello, We have to do a project which is a web based workflow application. I have never used WWF. I am thinking should we use WWF with asp.net ? This application has 10 tasks with multiple options (each task may have 4 options) with a good amount of data. Just like banks have customer dealing work flow applications. I am not getting will it hard to switch to WWF ? (we have short time to deliver/ learning curve) Please advice on this. thanks

I have a traditional web application which goes from StateA to StateB and so on If the user goes to (url of) StateB, I want to make sure that he has visited StateA before.     We're looking into implementing an issue tracker for our web agency. The problem is that most issue trackers seem to revolve around the assumption that an issue is a bug, whereas in a web agency environment, a lot of the issues (request, or whatever you want to call them) are about changes and additions to a current web site. It also seems to me that a lot of issue trackers assume that you're working on one main software project, and uses that project as the focus of the tracker. A good issue tracker for a web agency would be one which puts each separate client and their issues at the heart of the system, making it easy for them to track and report issues. Does anyone know of a good issue tracker for the web agency workflow? What are other people using?

  • Good workflow with emacs+swank+slime+clojure?

    I just wanted opinion on good workflow using the emacs environment with clojure+swank+slime. I often find myself doing very repetitive keycommands and wonder if there is an obvious better way. I include swank with lein and start my project using lein swank from shell. Then I connect with emacs and do the correct use commands so that I can start to use (run-tests ). Then I do some coding and then want to test. To run the test I need to change buffer in emacs to the swank-repl C-x o, then I need to go to the prompt M-, then repeat the command M-p, then enter, maybe with an exception, then back to the code buffer and continue all over again with all the emacs commands. I find it a bit repetitive. I guess the solution would be to start hack on emacs and maybe add a shortcut for doing this repetitive task, but I would love to hear some suggestions because I can't be the only one who find this tedious?

    I have an IHttpModule that implements IRequiresSessionState. The session state is at "on" on the page directive and I also added it to the web.config. In the method "OnBeginRequest" in the IHttpModule, I make a Server.Transfer but I get the error : Session state can only be used when enableSessionState is set to true, either in a configuration file or in the Page directive. When I access the page directly or with a Response.Redirect, there is no error. Any idea?

    I would like some idea about a good workflow for Website Design, with a high degree of "offshoring" (Elance, Odesk etc.). I would to do as much as possible "pre production", with client input, ideas etc. stored in IA diagrams, wireframe mockups etc. in something like a Wiki. Also a like the idea about having different people come up with different design proposals. Wouldlike to have some ideas of costs of different phases and tasks ($, %, hours). With Design I mean roughly the aspects of a site that can be done with client-side tools, especially XHTML and CSS. What other tools should I use than IA diagrams.

    I am trying to incorporate more functional programming idioms into my java development. One pattern that I like the most and avoids side effects is building classes that have behavior but they don't necessarily have any state. The behavior is locked into the methods but they only act on the parameters passed in. The code below is code I am trying to avoid: public class BadObject { private Map<String, String> data = new HashMap<String, String>(); public BadObject() { data.put("data", "data"); } /** * Act on the data class. But this is bad because we can't * rely on the integrity of the object's state. */ public void execute() { data.get("data").toString(); } } The code below is nothing special but I am acting on the parameters and state is contained within that class. We still may run into issues with this class but that is an issue with the method and the state of the data, we can address issues in the routine as opposed to not trusting the entire object.   • How to use psexec without admin privileges on target machine?

    Is it possible to use psexec to execute a command on a remote machine without having admin privileges on the remote machine? I tried running psexec \\<machine> -u <username> -p <password>, where <username> and <password> are non-admin credentials, but I get an "access denied" error I can remote desktop into the remote machine with the same credentials without any problems. My local machine is running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit, and the remote machine is running Windows Server 2008 64-bit. I do have admin privileges on the local machine. EDIT: To all the people who are downvoting this question: I am not trying to circumvent any sort of security measure. I can already run the process on the remote machine by remote desktop-ing into the remote machine and running it. I'm simply looking for a command-line way to do something I can already do through a GUI.

  • mscomctl.ocx on my dev machine gives me problems since security patch of MS

    I am busy on this problem since 2 days ago and hope someone can get me out of it. I have Excel 2010 (full install 944Mb) on my Windows 8 computer. It works well. But when I modify my workbook (containing a ListView version 6.0) I am not able to run it on my client's computer. I get the error: Could Not Load An Object. Not Available on This Machine. Even it works well on my dev machine. The reason is: Microsoft applied a Security Patch (near august 2012 I think) on mscomctl.ocx and my Excel 2010 installation files (downloaded not long ago) contains the new version of mscomctl.ocx. The clients using my Excel file don't apply the security patch at this moment. Se everytime I publish my Excel file to client's computers (from my dev environment), I reference the new mscomctl.ocx. That's the problem. I already try to get the old mscomctl.ocx from client's computer and copy & register it on my dev machine but then I got errors (Class not registered, ...) when I create a userform and drag a listview on it. So: mscomctl.ocx on client's machine is version 6.1.98.13 from 2008. mscomctl.ocx on my dev machine is version 6.1.98.34 from 2012. My question: Does someone have an idea how to proceed to have a usable version of mscomctl.ocx on my dev machine? Thank you very much.

    What happens to state information held by a class's variable after coming back from a low memory situation? I know that views will get unloaded and then reloaded later but what about some ancillary classes & data held in them that's used by the controller that launched the view? Once a low memory scenario occurs and the associated nib & MyCustomController will get unloaded -- when it's reloaded, what's the process for resetting up the 'ServiceAuthenticator' class & its former state? I'm periodically persisting all of the data in my actual model classes. Should I consider also persisting the state data in these utility style classes? Is that the pattern to follow?

  • JQuery not copying state dropdown list 1 to DDL2 on checkbox change

    I've looked at similar posts on the subject but none of the recommended solutions have worked for me so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. I have a billing and shipping address form with a dropdown list for the state. Upon checking/unchecking the "billing address same as shipping" everything copies over except the state dropdown list. The state dropdown list is populated from a SQLDataSource state table.
