  I'm going to start a new project with instant message support. I find that there is no good long polling solution in PHP, but there is some good ones in J2EE. I'm wondering if I can integrate PHP and J2EE to get the function? Or should I just use J2EE instead of PHP? Thanks.

  I'm building a C project using scons, some internal static libraries are build and the exe files are linked to it. However, setting: env['LIBPATH'] = ['#build/libs'] generates a -Llibs and a -Lbuild/libs argument to gcc: gcc -o edecode main.o pack16.o pack16le.o pack32.o pack32le.o pack64.o -Lbuild/libs -Llibs -lutillib Why's that ?   This question is linked with the answers in the following question: Error removing Bitmaps[Android] Is there any advantage of using Drawable over Bitmap in Android in terms of memory de-allocation ? I was looking at Romain Guy project Shelves and he uses SoftReference for images caches but I'm unable to search where is the code which is de-allocating these Drawables when SoftReference automatically reclaims the memory for Bitmap. As far as I know .recycle() has to be explicitly called on the Bitmap for it to be de-allocated.

  As per title, I would like to deploy my application without its Visual Studio project. I would prefer to place all executables/images/manifests in one directory and deploy it without needing the source or opening Visual Studio. There is a way to do that for XNA apps, but it doesn't work for Silverlight apps for some reason. Other people had the same problem.

When I execute "F5" this application it takes minutes to finish, but when i execute this application with profiling it finishes in 3-5 seconds. Does anyone know why?
