WCF 4: Fileless Activation Fails On XP (IIS 5) that has SSL port enabled.

I have a service being hosted in IIS on XP via fileless activation. The service starts fine when there is no SSL port enabled for IIS but when the SSL port is enabled, I get the error message: System.ServiceModel.ServiceActivationException: The service '/SkillsPrototype.Web/services/Linkage.svc' cannot be activated due to an exception during compilation. The exception message is: A binding instance has already been associated to listen URI 'http://rcollet.hsb-corp.hsb.com/SkillsPrototype.Web/Services/Linkage.svc'. If two endpoints want to share the same ListenUri, they must also share the same binding object instance. Why can i read dirty rows in MySql

I cant believe this, i always throught the below would be concurrency safe. I write to a row in one transaction and i am able to read the dirty value from another transaction/command/connection! Why is this possible (not my main question) isnt this not desired and cause more troubles!?! Anyways, i expected that once i write to a row nothing else will be able to read to the row until the transaction is finished. And at least if the row can be still read that the clean (original) value will be read. (but maybe that would cause problems as well if the transaction doesnt use the newly commited data from the other transaction when it is ran) I would like count to == 11. I thought this would be safe in all variants of sql. PHP: Strange behaviour while calling custom php functions

I am facing a strange behavior while coding in PHP with Flex. Let me explain the situation: I have two funcions lets say: populateTable() //puts some data in a table made with flex createXML() //creates an xml file which is used by Fusion Charts to create a chart Now, if i call populateTable() alone, the table gets populated with data but if i call it with createXML(), the table doesn't get populated but createXML() does it's work i.e. creates an xml file. Even if i run following code, only xml file gets generated but table remains empty whereas i called populateTable() before createXML(). Any idea what may be going wrong? What's wrong with Bundler working with RubyGems to push a Git repo to Heroku?

I've made sure that all the files are in the root of the repository as recommended in this discussion. However, as I follow the instructions in this section of the book, I can't get through the section without the problems. What do you think is happening with my system that's causing the error? Rails validation count limit on has_many :through

I've got the following models: Team, Member, Assignment, Role The Team model has_many Members. Each Member has_many roles through assignments. Role assignments are Captain and Runner. I have also installed devise and CanCan using the Member model. What I need to do is limit each Team to have a max of 1 captain and 5 runners. I found this example, and it seemed to work after some customization, but on update ('teams/1/members/4/edit'). It doesn't work on create ('teams/1/members/new'). But my other validation (validates :role_ids, :presence = true ) does work on both update and create. Any help would be appreciated. Update: I've found this example that would seem to be similar to my problem but I can't seem to make it work for my app. It seems that the root of the problem lies with how the count (or size) is performed before and during validation. For Example: When updating a record... It checks to see how many runners there are on a team and returns a count. (i.e. 5) Then when I select a role(s) to add to the member it takes the known count from the database (i.e. 5) and adds the proposed changes (i.e. 1), and then runs the validation check. (Team.find(self.team_id).members.runner.count 5) This works fine because it returns a value of 6 and 6 5 so the proposed update fails without saving and an error is given. But when I try to create a new member on the team... It checks to see how many runners there are on a team and returns a count. (i.e. 5) Then when I select a role(s) to add to the member it takes the known count from the database (i.e. 5) and then runs the validation check WITHOUT factoring in the proposed changes. This doesn't work because it returns a value of 5 known runner and 5 = 5 so the proposed update passes and the new member and role is saved to the database with no error. I have been banging my head with this one more the two weeks, and still don't know what the problem is ( I can't narrow it down). The problem is the following. I have a solution with 3 project in it all written in c# and I with LINQ. One project is the main web site, the other is the data layer (communication with the database) and the third one is a custom little CMS. spring-nullpointerexception- cant access autowired annotated service (or dao) in a no-annotations class

I have this problem that I cannot fix. From my @Controller, i can easily access my autowired @Service class and play with it no problem. But when I do that from a separate class without annotations, it gives me a NullPointerException. My Controller (works)- @Controller public class UserController { @Autowired UserService userService;... My separate Java class (not working)- public final class UsersManagementUtil { @Autowired UserService userService; or @Autowired UserDao userDao; userService or userDao are always null! Was just trying if any one of them works. 'Step Into' is suddenly not working in Visual Studio

All of a sudden, I have run into an issue where I cannot step into any code through debugging in Visual Studio. The step over works fine, but it refuses to step into (F11) any of my code. This was working before, now all of a sudden it does not. I've tried some things below, but I still had no success: Delete all bin files in every project in my solution, clean solution, re-build solution. Build projects in solution indivdualy Restart machine It an ASP.NET C# application consuming a WCF sevice locally. It is in debug mode. I have a breakpoint set on the page consuming the service. The breakpoint hits, but it will not step into the service code. The ASP.NET site and the service code is all in the same solution. This all of a sudden does not work, it did work before. How can I fix this problem? Adding a breakpoint to the service project I get a warning: Breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for this document. I deleted all the bin folders for all the projects and re-built them one by one. They all succeeded, but still I am getting the symbols won't load on any breakpoint I put into any project in the solution other than the ASP.NET project where the breakpoint works. I was able to debug step into all the projects before, this is an all of a sudden thing. Information from the output window.. I am trying to make a class initializable from an initialization_list in a class constructor's constructor's initialization list. It works for a std::map, but not for my custom class. Generating 8000 text files from xml files

Hi all, i need to generate the same number of text files as the xml files i have. Within the text files, i need the title and maybe some other tags of it. I can generate text files with the elements i wanted but not all xml files can be generated. Only some of them are generated. Something might be wrong with my parser so help out please thanks. Custom Section Name Crashing NSFetchedResultsController

I have a managed object with a dueDate attribute. Exception was caught during Core Data change processing: no section named 'Done' found with userInfo (null) 2010-03-18 23:29:52.477 MyApp[1637:207] *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'no section named 'Done' found' I've managed to figure out that the UITableView that is currently hidden by the new details view is trying to update its rows and sections because the NSFetchedResultsController was notified that something changed in the data set. The exception is thrown before either controller:didChangeObject:atIndexPath:forChangeType:newIndex or controller:didChangeSection:atIndex:forChangeType are called. At this point I'm stuck. If I change my sectionNameKeyPath to just "dueDate" then everything works fine. I think that's because the dueDate attribute never changes whereas the category will be different when read back after the finishedDate attribute changes. Please help! What do I need to change to get this 'acts_as_rateable' Rails plugin working with this code from the

Hello! I'm working my way through the 'Foundation Rails 2' book. In Chapter 9, we are building a little "plugins" app. In the book, he installs the acts_as_rateable plugin found at http://juixe.com/svn/acts_as_rateable. This plugin doesn't appear to exist in 2010 (the page for this "old" plugin seems to be working again...it was down when I tried it earlier), so I found another acts_as_rateable plugin at http://github.com/azabaj/acts_as_rateable. These plugins are different and I'm trying to get the "new" plugin working with the code/project/app from the Foudations 2 book. I was able to use the migration generator included with the "new" plugin and it worked. Now,though, I'm a bit confused. In the book, he has us create a new controller to work with the plugin (the old plugin). When I try to actually "rate" one of the plugins, I get an "unknown attribute" error. That makes sense. I'm using attribute names for the "old" plugin, but I should be using attributes names for the "new" plugin. The problem is...I've tried using a variety of different attribute names and I keep getting the same error. From the README for the "new" plugin, I think I should be using some of these but I haven't been able to get them working: Install the plugin into your vendor/plugins directory, insert 'acts_as_rateable' into your model, then restart your application. class Post < ActiveRecord::Base acts_as_rateable end Now your model is extended by the plugin, you can rate it ( 1-# )or calculate the average rating. @plugin.rate_it( 4, current_user.id ) @plugin.average_rating #=> 4.0 @plugin.average_rating_round #=> 4 @plugin.average_rating_percent #=> 80 @plugin.rated_by?( current_user ) #=> rating || false Plugin.find_average_of( 4 ) #=> array of posts See acts_as_rateable.rb for further details! I'm guessing that I might have to make some "bigger" changes to get this plugin working. I'm asking this question to learn and only learn. The book gives code to get things working with the old plugin, but if one were actually building this app today it would be necessary to use this "new" plugin, so I would like to see how it could be used. Many-to-one relation exception due to closed session after loading

Hi, I am using NHibernate (version 1.2.1) for the first time so I wrote a simple test application (an ASP.NET project) that uses it. In my database I have two tables: Persons and Categories. Each person gets one category, seems easy enough. | Persons | | Categories | |--------------| |--------------| | Id (PK) | | Id (PK) | | Firstname | | CategoryName | | Lastname | | CreatedTime | | CategoryId | | UpdatedTime | | CreatedTime | | Deleted | | UpdatedTime | | Deleted | The Id, CreatedTime, UpdatedTime and Deleted attributes are a convention I use in all my tables, so I have tried to bring this fact into an additional abstraction layer. I have a project DatabaseFramework which has three important classes: Entity: an abstract class that defines these four properties. All 'entity objects' (in this case Person and Category) must inherit Entity. IEntityManager: a generic interface (type parameter as Entity) that defines methods like Load, Insert, Update, etc. NHibernateEntityManager: an implementation of this interface using NHibernate to do the loading, saving, etc. Now, the Person and Category classes are straightforward, they just define the attributes of the tables of course (keeping in mind that four of them are in the base Entity class). Since the Persons table is related to the Categories table via the CategoryId attribute, the Person class has a Category property that holds the related category. However, in my webpage, I will also need the name of this category (CategoryName), for databinding purposes for example. So I created an additional property CategoryName that returns the CategoryName property of the current Category property, or an empty string if the Category is null: Namespace Database Public Class Person Inherits DatabaseFramework.Entity Public Overridable Property Firstname As String Public Overridable Property Lastname As String Public Overridable Property Category As Category Public Overridable ReadOnly Property CategoryName As String Get Return If(Me.Category Is Nothing, _ String.Empty, _ Me.Category.CategoryName) End Get End Property End Class End Namespace I am mapping the Person class using this mapping file. The final important detail is the Load method of the NHibernateEntityManager implementation. (This is in C# as it's in a different project, sorry about that). Now, the idea of this Load method is that I get a fully functional collection of Persons, all their properties set to the correct values (including the Category property, and thus, the CategoryName property should return the correct name). However, it seems that is not the case. When I try to data-bind the result of this Load method to a GridView in ASP.NET, it tells me this: Property accessor 'CategoryName' on object 'NHibernateWebTest.Database.Person' threw the following exception:'Could not initialize proxy - the owning Session was closed.' The exception occurs on the DataBind method call here: public virtual void LoadGrid() { if (this.Grid == null) return; this.Grid.DataSource = this.Manager.Load(); this.Grid.DataBind(); } Well, of course the session is closed, I closed it via the using block. Isn't that the correct approach, should I keep the session open? And for how long? Can I close it after the DataBind method has been run? In each case, I'd really like my Load method to just return a functional collection of items. It seems to me that it is now only getting the Category when it is required (eg, when the GridView wants to read the CategoryName, which wants to read the Category property), but at that time the session is closed. Is that reasoning correct? How do I stop this behavior? Or shouldn't I? And what should I do otherwise? Thanks!
