How to get musicbrainz track information from audio file

Can anyone tell me how to get track information from the MusicBrainz database from an audio file (mp3, wav, wma, ogg, etc...) using audio fingerprinting. I'm using MusicBrainz Sharp library, but any other library is ok. I've seen that you must use the libofa library, that you can't use MusicBrainz Sharp to get puid from the audio file, but I can't figure out how to use libofa with C#. Please show some examples and code snippets to help me, because I can't find them anywhere. Thanks in advance!

What are the benefits of using WCF?

We currently just utilize soap webservices for all our communication but have been thinking about moving to WCF instead. What are the benefits of using it over an asmx service? If we do go with a WCF service, can other languages still communicate with it? SOAP is standardized and all languages can interact with it. Are there any really good examples of how to get started with WCF that show the benefits of it over soap? EDIT I just found this question which is quite helpful. The Getting Started Tutorial is great.

Hi All, i've configured FBConnect and it uploads to the wall, but what i want to do is take a screenshot and then upload the screenshot to FB. In the below code there is an image but as a url. Can i intersect this and put in my screenshot image? SQL: Find difference between dates with grouping

I have a problem that seems similar to this fellow - I just want to display the data slightly differently. I'm pretty terrible with SQL so can't modify it to suit, but perhaps someone else can. My table looks similar to this (date format is dd/mm/yyyy): ID User Date_start Role 1 Andy 01/04/2010 A 2 Andy 10/04/2010 B 3 Andy 20/04/2010 A 4 John 02/05/2010 A I want to show the total number of days that anyone was in a certain role. Users stay in the role until there is another entry into the table. Users can only be in one role at a time. So the summary data would look like this (assuming that the date is 04/05/2010): A: 26 days B: 10 days Thanks for any help :)

Hi! i have 2 tables: account: ID, ACC, AE_CCY, DRCR_IND, AMOUNT, MODULE flex: ID, ACC, AE_CCY, DRCR_IND, AMOUNT, MODULE I want to show differences comparing only by: AE_CCY, DRCR_IND, AMOUNT, MODULE and ACC by first 4 characters Example: ID ACC AE_CCY DRCR_IND AMOUNT MODULE -- --------- ------ -------- ------ ------ 1 734647674 USD D 100 OP and in flex: ID ACC AE_CCY DRCR_IND AMOUNT MODULE -- --------- ------ -------- ------ ------ 1 734647654 USD D 100 OP 2 734665474 USD D 100 OP 9 734611111 USD D 100 OP ID's 2 and 9 should be shown as differences. If I use FULL JOIN I'll get no differences as substr(account.ACC,1,4) = substr(flex.ACC,1,4) are equal and others are equal and MINUS doesn't work because ID's different. Thanks.

Postback problem? Not getting data back from DB

I'm not getting back data from my DB like I'm expecting. I know that I can get data from the DB because I have other functions working. With this page, what I'm trying to do is the following: If no postback, then I would like it to echo "No Category Selected" If a category has been chosen, then I would like for it to get that data from the DB and show it on the page. TFS and team project portal question

The team explorer for my project looks like this: mytfsserver\mycollection -- Project 1 solution -- Project 2 solution -- Project 3 solution When I right click on one of the solutions and do a "Show Project Portal", I see the following hierarchy: mycollection - WSS site Project 1 site with dashboard (appears to be a MOSS site) Project 2 site with dashboard (appears to be a MOSS site) Project 3 site with dashboard (appears to be a MOSS site) Are the dashboard sites MOSS sites? If I want to create a wiki, do I have to create a subsite with the wiki template under each of the Project sites? Can someone point me to a document/video that talks about the sites that area created by TFS by default?

New to programming

I have a form (Quote) with an auto-number ID, on the form at the moment are two subforms that show different items (sub 1 shows partition modules sub 2 shows partition abutments) both forms use the same parts tables to build them. Both forms are linked to the quote form using the ID. All works well until the forms is refreshed or re-loaded, subform 1 shows the module names and quantities and blank spaces for the abutment names but shows the quantiews for the abutments, the reverse of this is shown in the abutments subform 2. When the lists for the variuos types and the detailed parts lists are printed they are correct. This seems to be only a visual problem. All based on Access 2003. When you move your mouse over there small text shows up that says: Napredna pretraga Now, for some reason those letters change color to like yellow for very short period of time in ff 3.5 and to some strange color in safari 4.0.2 for win. In ie8, opera and chrome it works just the way it should, white letters stay white during the animation. How do you retrieve the array adapter currently set for a spinner? Android OS, Droid

Looking to create a menu toggle that switches between two possible arrays for a spinner. For example, if the spinner is set to show array A, then when I press this menu button, I want the spinner to be set to array B. If I press it again, I want it to be set back to array A. I can handle the if/then statements and all, but how do I call the spinner's array adapter? I know how to call its value using getSelectedItemPosition(); but is there a similar method for retrieving WHICH array it is currently set to?

Please, enter our website and ask for an invitation" when a user click on "Register" on our app. However, Apple has rejected our app because it can not has any disabled featured and can not contains word "Beta". What would you do in this situation? I don't know if hide this option and show it only when an API call response says "registerEnabled = YES" or just change the text and use: "You need and invitation to access OUR_APP. Table 1 (users): id INT username TEXT favourite_food TEXT food_pref_id INT Table 2 (food_preferences): id INT food_type TEXT The logic is as follows: Let's say I have this in my food preference table: 1, 'VEGETARIAN' and this in the users table: 1, 'John', NULL, 1 2, 'Pete', 'Curry', 1 In which case John defaults to be a vegetarian, but Pete should show up as a person who enjoys curry. Question, is there any way to combine the query into one select statement, so that it would get the default from the preferences table if the favourite_food column is NULL? I can obviously do this in application logic, but would be nice just to offload this to SQL, if possible. DB is SQLite3...

How to quickly analyse large MDB file

I need to know how to quickly analyse a large MDB file (about 1GB) to see which tables are causing it to be so big. Is there something will easily allow me to show a breakdown of which tables are responsible for how much data. I need to know whether it is just this one customer who is using the application differently, or whether there is genuinely a lot of data in the MDB. This MDB is currently causing the VB app to crash, and I need to know why it is so big so that I can maybe think about how to put some of the data into another 'archival' MDB. Migrating to SQL Server is not an option, unless the use of linked tables from an MDB is a realistic option.

MQ Connection - 2009 error

am connectting the MQ with below code. I am able connected to MQ successfully. My case is i place the messages to MQ every 1 min once. After disconnecting the cable i get a ResonCode error but IsConnected property still show true. Is this is the right way to check if the connection is still connected ? Or there any best pratcices around that. MYSQL Convert rows to columns performance problem

I am doing a query that converts rows to columns similar to this post but have encountered a performance problem. Here is the query:- SELECT Info.Customer, Answers.Answer, Answers.AnswerDescription, Details.Code1, Details.Code2, Details.Code3 FROM Info LEFT OUTER JOIN Answers ON Info.AnswerID = Answers.AnswerID LEFT OUTER JOIN (SELECT ReferenceNo, MAX(CASE DetailsIndicator WHEN 'cde1' THEN DetailsCode ELSE NULL END ) Code1, MAX(CASE DetailsIndicator WHEN 'cde2' THEN DetailsCode ELSE NULL END ) Code2, MAX(CASE DetailsIndicator WHEN 'cde3' THEN DetailsCode ELSE NULL END ) Code3 FROM DetailsData GROUP BY ReferenceNo) Details ON Info.ReferenceNo = Details.ReferenceNo There are less than 300 rows returned, but the Details table is about 180 thousand rows. The query takes 45 seconds to run and needs to take only a few seconds. When I type show processlist; into MYSQL it is hanging on "Sending Data". Any thoughts as to what the performance problem might be?

Huge file in Clojure and Java heap space error

Rewinding std::cout to go back to the beginning of a line

I'm writing a command-line tool for Mac OS X that processes a bunch of files. I would like to show the user the current file being processed, but do not want a bazillion files polluting the terminal window. Instead I would like to use a single line to output the file path, then reuse that line for the next file. Is there a character (or some other code) to output to std::cout to accomplish this? Also, if I wanted to re-target this tool for Windows, would the solution be the same for both platforms?

So I have a uipicker view, that I have managed to load some data from my db into. I would like to update a textview, which is right above the pickerview, with each changing of the row. Is that possible? If I don't have to, I would like to avoid pushing a button in order to show the respective text. Can I make it so that the value in the text field changes with the value of the rowselected in the pickerview, in real time? Any thoughts or code snippets would be appreciated. Thanks!

It is basically a jobs site with 3 levels: 1) Users - No registration and can view all jobs posted on the website 2) Posters - Need to register and login to post adverts 3) Admin - Need to register and login to post adverts and review postings before they go live Would you suggest I use the same Jobs controller for the three levels I mention above?
