  • Best way in asp.net to force https for an entire site?

    About 6 months ago I rolled out a site where every request needed to be over https. The only way at the time I could find to ensure that every request to a page was over https was to check it in the page load event. If the request was not over http I would response.redirect("https://mysite.com") Is there a better way -- ideally some setting in the web.config?

What I want: a URL /bands/My_Band_id13/ should redirect to /bands/index.php?bandname=My_Band&bandID=13 What I have: RewriteRule ^/bands/(.*)_id(.*)/$ /bands/index.php?bandname=$1&bandID=$2 What am I doing wrong?     I have several flash movies that need to redirect to an external website at the end of the presentation. In any browser (firefox, opera, etc.), getURL("http://www.google.com"); works but in IE versions 7 and 8 it just hangs. I need to use Action Script 2 because I have alot of code that doesn't work in AS 3. Thanks!

    I have a app, that is used in the fanpage, so basically I am showing up the user request/invite form, after submission which refers to my server and I get friends ids(from $_POST) and info about user who sent invite, to get user info I am using $user = $this->_facebook->api_client->users_getLoggedInUser(); $dataToRetrive = array(....); $usersInfo = $this->_facebook->api_client->users_getInfo($user,$dataToRetrive); and then I redirect to fan page again in FF it is working fine but OPera and Chrome it is loosing the session.

    say i have a directory with hi.txt and blah.txt and i execute the following command on a linux-ish command line ls *.* | xargs -t -i{} echo {} the output you will see is echo blah.txt blah.txt echo hi.txt hi.txt i'd like to redirect the stderr output (say 'echo blah.txt' fails...), leaving only the output from the xargs -t command written to std out, but it looks as if it's stderr as well. ls *.* | xargs -t -i{} echo {} 2> /dev/null Is there a way to control it, to make it output to stdout?
