  Dear ladies and sirs. If two threads in a process generate a new GUID concurrently using .NET API (Guid.NewGuid()) is it possible that the two GUIDs will be identical? Thanks. UPDATE I want to get practical. I know that it is widely assumed that GUIDs are unique for all practical purposes. I am wondering if I can treat GUIDS produced by the different threads of the same process in the same manner.

Work flow: Index.py (submit) After submit it redirect to display.py page display.py page has got class with execute(),display() &init_main() functions In init_main() i have created class object which access to above functions I need to calculate time interval between the submit (index.py) to execute() end, so i can show user how much time does different weighted file takes on real time.   I've downloaded the "dbd-mysql-0.4.4.zip" and linked it to my project. While I try to run a demo code from NetBeans the very first line require "dbi" gives me an error. Is there a different way to do it? I also tried jruby setup.rb config --with=dbi,dbd_mysql from the command prompt and it gave me the following error: config: unknown option --with=dbi,dbd_mysql Try 'ruby setup.rb --help' for detailed usage. Any suggestions please?

  On Page1.aspx...I have the following ...more hiddenFields Page2.aspx would be displayed in a new window and I need to grab the hiddenField values on this page. I can now get it to open in a new window and get those form values. The problem is lnkBtn is repeated in a listview and each link has a different value or id associated with the link. How do I pass in the unique id to Page2.aspx and grab the hiddenField?

  We're seeing lots of virtual memory fragmentation and out of memory errors and then it hits the 3GB limit. The compilation debug is set to true in the web.config but I get different answers from everyone i ask, does debug set to true cause each aspx to compile into random areas of ram thus fragmenting that ram and eventually causing out of memory problems?

I want to redirect that to use HTTPS (SSL) with .htaccess, but only on this, and a couple of other pages (the login page, etc), but not the entire site. The URLs don't point to directories, but are used to dynamically include different files. Can someone give me a pointer or an example of how to get a single page redirect to HTTPS please?   I'm getting the following error: javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: Broken pipe Now I have seen questions/answers with respects to the socket exception, but this error is coming from a different package. Any help is greatly appreciated. BTW, I am seeing quite a lot of these errors in a struts web app Weblogic Node logs and I am thinking that it has to do with end users closing their web browser before the page reloads/executes the next step (database transaction which takes quite a bit of time to execute, anywhere from 30 seconds to 4 mins).
