  • abstract test case using python unittest

    - by gruszczy
Is it possible to create an abstract TestCase, that will have some test_* methods, but this TestCase won't be called and those methods will only be used in subclasses? I think I am going to have one abstract TestCase in my test suite and it will be subclassed for a few different implementation of a single interface. This is why all test methods are the some, only one, internal method changes. How can I do it in elegant way?

Is there still a way to get a single contract use multiple callback interfaces?

  • How to change default conjunction with Lucene MultiFieldQueryParser

    - by Luke H
I have some code using Lucene that leaves the default conjunction operator as OR, and I want to change it to AND. Some of the code just uses a plain QueryParser, and that's fine - I can just call setDefaultOperator on those instances. Unfortunately, in one place the code uses a MultiFieldQueryParser, and calls the static "parse" method (taking String, String[], BooleanClause.Occur[], Analyzer), so it seems that setDefaultOperator can't help, because it's an instance method. Is there a way to keep using the same parser but have the default conjunction changed?

  • Why am I getting the extra xmlns="" using LinqToXML?

    - by Hcabnettek
    Hello all, I'm using LinqToXML to generate a piece of XML. Everything works great except I'm throwing in some empty namespace declarations somehow. Does anyone out there know what I'm doing incorrectly? Here is my code private string SerializeInventory(IEnumerable<InventoryInformation> inventory) { var zones = inventory.Select(c => new { c.ZoneId , c.ZoneName , c.Direction }).Distinct(); XNamespace ns = "http://www.dummy-tmdd-address"; XNamespace xsi = "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"; var xml = new XElement(ns + "InventoryList" , new XAttribute(XNamespace.Xmlns + "xsi", xsi) , zones.Select(station => new XElement("StationInventory" , new XElement("station-id", station.ZoneId) , new XElement("station-name", station.ZoneName) , new XElement("station-travel-direction", station.Direction) , new XElement("detector-list" , inventory.Where(p => p.ZoneId == station.ZoneId).Select(plaza => new XElement("detector" , new XElement("detector-id", plaza.PlazaId))))))); xml.Save(@"c:\tmpXml\myXmlDoc.xml"); return xml.ToString(); } And here is the resulting xml. I hope it renders correctly? The browser may hide the tags. - <InventoryList xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="http://www.dummy-tmdd-address"> <StationInventory xmlns=""> <station-id>999</station-id> <station-name>Zone 999-SEB</station-name> <station-travel-direction>SEB</station-travel-direction> <detector-list> <detector> <detector-id>7503</detector-id> </detector> <detector> <detector-id>2705</detector-id> </detector> </detector-list> </StationInventory> </InventoryList> Notice the empty namespace declaration in the first child element. Any ideas how I can remedy this? Any tips are of course appreciated. Thanks All, ~ck

  • Method/function overrides in Codeigniter

    - by pingu
Hi guys, I want to override the validation_errors() method of the form helper in CodeIgniter for one controller only, so that it will display a single error message (as a sentence in plain english) instead of the detailed line item summary. I've tried defining a validation_errors() function in my controller, which is what I usually do with Silverstripe's Sapphire framework, but this won't with CI. What's the best way to override methods for a case by case basis?

  • vbscript multiple replace regex

    - by George
How do you match more than one pattern in vbscript? Set regEx = New RegExp regEx.Pattern = "[?&]cat=[\w-]+" & "[?&]subcat=[\w-]+" // tried this regEx.Pattern = "([?&]cat=[\w-]+)([?&]subcat=[\w-]+)" // and this param = regEx.Replace(param, "") I want to replace any parameter called cat or subcat in a string called param with nothing. For instance string?cat=meow&subcat=purr or string?cat=meow&dog=bark&subcat=purr I would want to remove cat=meow and subcat=purr from each string.

  • Python double underscore mangling

    - by gnr
I am a bit confused by this behavior (using python 3.2): class Bar: pass class Foo: def __init__(self): self.__cache = None bar = Bar() bar.__cache = None foo = Foo() print(vars(bar)) #returns {'__cache': None} print(vars(foo)) #returns {'_Foo__cache': None} I've read up a bit on how double-underscores cause attribute names to be "mangled", but I would have expected the same name-mangling in both cases above. The meaning of a single- and a double-underscore before an object name in Python Any ideas what's going on here?

  • SQL Management Studio - Execute current line

    - by mawaldne
In SQL Server 2008 Management studio, I can hit F5 to execute everything in the current query window. I can also highlight a query, and hit F5 to run that highlighted query. Instead of having to highlight a query, is there a way I can run the single query my cursor is on, or run a query my cursor is on up to a the first ';'?

  • Is it possible to configure a Spring session scoped bean with attributes from the session?

    - by Dave G
I'm trying to create a service bean that when referenced will be initialized with HttpSession based attributes. Let's say for sake of argument that my webapp would do the following: Establish a session Request login & password When service is requested (it is scope="session" and has init-method="init()") a new instance is created for the session. In the init method, can I reference the HttpSession either through passing it in as a parameter and referencing it by EL? Any ideas on this would be appreciated.

  • Eclipse RCP: Making use of configuration directory

    - by Dot
Hello, My Eclipse RCP application requires a configuration file that contains some information to connect to a remote database. Where is the best location to store this configuration file? Can I use the default configuration directory (where 'config.ini' is usually stored) for this purpose? If so, how can I get a File instance to this location programmatically? I also note that this directory does not exist in my Eclipse IDE. Thanks.

One of webmethods doesn't work properly because it reads only one connectionString: data source=.\\SQLEXPRESS;Integrated Security=SSPI;AttachDBFilename=|DataDirectory|aspnetdb.mdf;User Instance=true It's not a connectionString from my web.config . I invoke every method in the same way. How it's impossible ??

  • Computation on db data then list them using either SimpleCursorAdapter or ArrayAdapter

    - by kc2uno
Hi all, I juststarted programming in android a few weeks ago, so I am not entirely sure how to deal with listing values. Please help me out! I have some questions regarding displaying data sets from db in a list. Currently I have a cursor returned by my db points to a list of rows and I want display 2 columns values in a single row of the list. The row xml looks like this: <TextView android:id="@+id/text1" android:textSize="16sp" android:textStyle="bold" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content"/> <TextView android:id="@+id/text2" android:textSize="14sp" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content"/> so I was thinking using simplecursoradapter which supposedly makes my life easier by displaying the data in a list. However that is only true if I want to display the raw data. For the purpose of my program I need to do some computations on the raw data sets, then display them. I am not sure how to do that using SimpleCursorAdapter. Here's how I display the raw data: String[] from = new String[]{BtDbAdapter.KEY_EX_TYPE,BtDbAdapter.KEY_EX_TIMESTAMP}; int[] to = new int[]{R.id.text1, R.id.text2}; // Now create a simple cursor adapter and set it to display SimpleCursorAdapter records = new SimpleCursorAdapter(this, R.layout.exset_row, mExsetCursor, from, to); setListAdapter(records); Is there a way to do computation on the data in those rows before I bind it with the SimpleCursorAdapter? I was trying to use an alternative way of doing this by using arraylist and arrayadapter, but that way I dont know to how achieve displaying 2 items in a single row. This is my code for using arrayadapter which only display 1 text in a row instead of 2 textviews in a row: //fill in the array timestamp_arr = new ArrayList<String>(); type_arr = new ArrayList<String>(); fillRecord(); Log.d(TAG,"setting now in recordlist"); setListAdapter(new ArrayAdapter<String>(this, R.layout.list_item,timestamp_arr)); setListAdapter(new ArrayAdapter<String>(this, R.layout.list_item2,type_arr)); It's very obvious that it only displays one textview in a row because I set the second arrayadapter overwrites the first one! I was trying to use R.id.text1 and R.id.text2 for them, but it gave me some errors saying 04-23 01:40:58.658: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(3309): android.content.res.Resources$NotFoundException: Resource ID #0x7f070008 type #0x12 is not valid I believe the second method can achieve this, but I'm not sure how do deal with the layout problems, so if you any suggestions, please post them out. Thank you!!

  • Django-ckeditor inline error

    - by ad3w
I'm using FeinCMS (https://github.com/feincms/feincms/) and django-ckeditor with file upload support (https://github.com/shaunsephton/django-ckeditor). I create a FeinCMS content type for RichTextField: class RichContent(models.Model): text = RichTextField(_('text')) class Meta: abstract = True verbose_name = _('Rich Text') verbose_name_plural =_('Rich Text') def render(self, **kwargs): context_instance = kwargs.get('context_instance') return render_to_string('content/page/rich_content.html', { 'page': self, }, context_instance=context_instance) But in Django admin, when i select 'Rich Text' and press 'Go', get this error in firebug console: uncaught exception: [CKEDITOR.editor] The instance "id_richcontent_set-__prefix__-text" already exists. And textarea in ckeditor do not editable.

  • Good introductory statistics book?

    - by lmsasu
Hello, what is a good introductory statistics book you can recommend? if there is a whole sequence of books that should be read, please do not hesitate to mention it. Books with applications are also welcome. I am aware that a single search on Amazon (or any other book seller) will provide me tons of titles, but some of them are avoidable... About my background/knowledge: good knowledge of mathematics and probability theory, but almost null on statistics.
