  • C# integer primary key generation using Entity Framework with local database file (Sdf)

    Hello, I'm writing a standalone application and I thought using Entity Framework to store my data. At the moment the application is small so I can use a local database file to get started. The thing is that the local database file doesn't have the ability to auto generate integer primary keys as SQL Server does. Any suggestions how to manage primary keys for entities in a local database file that will be compatible with SQL Server in the future? Thanks, Ronny

They are now changing to PDF format, is there a way to reliably port the data from the PDF and insert it into our SQL Server 2008 database? Would this require writing an app or is there an automated way of doing this?

  • Boost Python - Limits to the number of arguments when wrapping a function

    I'm using Boost Python to wrap some C++ functions that I've created. One of my C++ functions contains 22 arguments. Boost complains when I try to compile my solution with this function, and I'm trying to figure out if it is just because this function has too many arguments. Does anyone know if such a limit exists? I've copied the error I'm getting below, not the code because I figure someone either knows the answer to this or not - and if there is no limit then I'll just try to figure it out myself. I am using the line: exec sys.sp_stored_procedures; I would like to filter the results back though, so I only get user created stored procedures. I would like to filter out sp_*, dt_*, fn_*, xp_* and everything else that is a system stored procedure and no interest to me. How can I manipulate the result set returned?
