  I am trying out Silverlight's Isolated Storage feature. Currently running Silverlight thru ASP.NET page. What are the required steps for Silverlight to prompt users to increase quota?

  I'm trying to move a control from one parent to another (if this will work I'm not quite sure). I can get a hold of the control that I want to move. Here is my code: public void MoveElement(UIElement uiElement) { var element = ((FrameworkElement)uiElement).Parent; //TODO:Remove from parent myControl.Children.Add(uiElement); } When I hit the last statment an ArgumentException is thrown stating "Specified Visual is already a child of another Visual or the root of a CompositionTarget." The strange thing is that Parent is returning null. How do locate the parent? Will this even work?

  Hi, I am trying to add an "KeyPress" event in a textbox (WinForm) this.textBox1.KeyPress += new System.Windows.Forms.KeyPressEventHandler(CheckKeys); and here's inside the 'CheckKeys': private void CheckKeys(object sender, System.Windows.Forms.KeyPressEventArgs e) { if (e.KeyChar == (char)13) { // Enter is pressed - do something } } The idea here is that once a textbox is in focus and the 'Enter' button was pressed, something will happen...   Hello, when using OnRender to draw something on the screen, is there any way to perform Hit Testing on the drawn graphics? Sample Code protected override void OnRender(System.Windows.Media.DrawingContext drawingContext) { base.OnRender(drawingContext); drawingContext.DrawRectangle(Brushes.Black, null, new Rect(50, 50, 100, 100)); } Obviously one has no reference to the drawn Rectangle which would be necessary to perform hit testing or am I wrong about this? I know I can use DrawingVisual, I'm just curious if my understanding is correct, that using OnRender to draw something you can't perform any hit testing on the drawn things?

  Hi, Is there a way to change background color for UIWebView? None of the colors set in IB effect UIWebView behavior: before acctual content is loaded it shows as up as white (causing a white flash between the moment it is loaded and content is rendered). Setting background color programmatically does not do anything either.   I get "migration issue" warnings when I use mouse/keyboard input handler names such as onMouseDown, onKeyUp, etc. These names are perfectly legal, but sensibly, we are now warned that their use is no longer automatic in ActionScript 3. I want to suppress these warnings, but without suppressing all other warnings, which I find useful. E.g., when I use code like this: protected override function onMouseDown(e:MouseEvent):void { I get an annoying warning like this: Warning: 1090: Migration issue: The onMouseDown event handler is not triggered automatically by Flash Player at run time in ActionScript 3.0. You must first register this handler for the event using addEventListener ( 'mouseDown', callback_handler). There are flex compiler (mxmlc) flags which can suppress actionscript warnings, or all warnings, but I don't want that. That's to general. Ideally I could suppress a specific error/warning number (Warning #1090). Halp?

  Hi, In my application I have 4 tabs in my tab bar. There is a navigation where if i click on a button on tab bar 2 view, it should take me to tab bar 3 view. I am doing this by using setting the selectedIndex property of tab bar like appDelegate.tabBarController.selectedIndex = 2; However, this doesn't reload the view of tab bar 3. It simply shows the tab bar 3 view that was last accessed (which may be down the navigation hieararchy in tab bar 3). Please help as to how can i reload the root view of tab bar 3. I tried having the delegate method of tabbar as below: - (void)tabBarController:(UITabBarController *)tabBarController didSelectViewController:(UIViewController *)viewController { [viewController.navigationController popToRootViewControllerAnimated:FALSE]; } but this works only if I click on a tab to go to the view and doesn't work with selectedIndex.Please help.

• timetable in a jTable

  I want to create a timetable in a jTable. For the top row it will display from monday to sunday and the left colume will display the time of the day with 2h interval e.g 1st colume (0000 - 0200), 2nd colume (0200 - 0400) .... And if i click a button the timing will change from 2h interval to 1h interval. I do not want to hardcode it because i need to do for 2h, 1h, 30min , 15min, 1min, 30sec and 1 sec interval and it will take too long for me to hardcode. Can anyone show me an example or help me create an example for the 2h to 1h interval so that i know what to do?   I'm implementing role based security using Microsoft's membership and role provider. The theoretical problem I'm having is that you implement a specific role on a method such as: [PrincipalPermissionAttribute(SecurityAction.Demand, Role="Supervisor")] private void someMethod() {} What if at some point down the road, I don't want Supervisors to access someMethod() anymore? Wouldn't I have to change the source code to make that change? Am I missing something? It seems there has to be some way to abstract the relationship between the supervisors role and the method so I can create a way in the application to change this coupling of role permission to method. Any insight or direction would be appreciated. Thank you.

  The problem I hope to resolve here is that when I click on one item in the ListView that item's background changes to light gray, but when I continue to scroll through the list every 4th item has the background changed to light gray even though those other items have not been clicked. It works on visual studio debug but when I deploy to IIS the code does not get fired.. • how to handle iframes/frames dom in the iphone uiwebview

  in (void) webViewDidFinishLoad: (UIWebView*)webView I inject some javascript to handle the iframes. e.g. stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString: @"try { var document = window.document.getElementsByTagName('iframe')[0].contentWindow.document.getElementsByTagName('frame'); } catch (e) { alert (e.message); }" It tells me the iframes document is undefined. Actually I have tried to print all the properties of contentWindow of iframe, but it's totally empty. I know the webViewDidFinishLoad may be called several times for each frame load. But I can never get the iframe document. I thought there should be at least once all the iframes are ready. Could someone please tell me how to get the iframe document to process the dom in the uiwebview? Thanks
