• Problem with filefield module after migrating drupal site to a new server: cant upload files

  I have a web app used by a small number of people (internal only) and am using a randomised sessionID that is stored under the user record and placed in various links. I have had a problem where users are sending links to each other which is allowing them to hijack the sender's session. What are some ways of preventing this from happening while still letting users send links to one another?   I use glBindTexture() to bind a previously created texture. After the glBindTexture() call I use glTexParameteri() to set MIN and MAG filter. No problem so far. Are those parameters I set using glTexParameteri() bound to the texture itself or are they lost if I bind another texture. • Create an instance of an exported C++ class from Delphi

  I followed an excellent article by Rudy Velthuis about using C++ classes in DLL's. Everything was golden, except that I need access to some classes that do not have corresponding factories in the C++ DLL. How can I construct an instance of a class in the DLL? The classes in question are defined as class __declspec(dllexport) exampleClass { public: void foo(); }; Now without a factory, I have no clear way of instantiating the class, but I know it can be done, as I have seen SWIG scripts (.i files) that make these classes available to Python. If Python&SWIG can do it, then I presume/hope there is some way to make it happen in Delphi too. Now I don't know much about SWIG, but it seems like it generates some sort of map for C++ mangled names? Is that anywhere near right? Looking at the exports from the DLL, I suppose I could access functions & constructor/destructor by index or the mangled name directly, but that would be nasty; and would it even work? Even if I can call the constructor, how can I do the equivalent of "new CClass();" in Delphi?

• Set "Start With" value for Oracle sequence dynamically

  I'm trying to create a release script that can be deployed on multiple databases, but where the data can be merged back together at a later date. The obvious way to handle this is to set the sequence numbers for production data sufficiently high in subsequent deployments to prevent collisions. The problem is in coming up with a release script that will accept the environment number and set the "Start With" value of the sequences appropriately. Ideally, I'd like to use something like this: ACCEPT EnvironNum PROMPT 'Enter the Environment Number: ' --[more scripting] CREATE SEQUENCE seq1 START WITH &EnvironNum*100000; --[more scripting] This doesn't work because you can't evaluate a numeric expression in DDL. Another option is to create the sequences using dynamic SQL via PL/SQL. ACCEPT EnvironNum PROMPT 'Enter the Environment Number: ' --[more scripting] EXEC execute immediate 'CREATE SEQUENCE seq1 START WITH ' || &EnvironNum*100000; --[more scripting] However, I'd prefer to avoid this solution as I generally try to avoid issuing DDL in PL/SQL. Finally, the third option I've come up with is simply to accept the Start With value as a substitution variable, instead of the environment number. Does anyone have a better thought on how to go about this?

• Scrollbars in ScrollView not showing after custom child view changes size

  I have a ScrollView containing a client that is a vertical LinearLayout. The client, in turn, contains custom views that change height dynamically as a background thread does some work. The problem I'm having is that the ScrollView's vertical scroll bar is not updating correctly in Android 1.5. The most common problem occurs when the initial total height of the client is less than the viewport and grows. Initially there is no scroll bar, and it does not show up when the client grows until I actually scroll the window with a touch gesture or other UI action. After that, the scroll bar shows up. However, the thumb does not update as the height continues to change from the background thread. If I scroll the view again through the UI, the thumb immediately corrects itself. My code for updating the height from the background thread is: post(mLayoutRequestor); postInvalidate(); (mLayoutRequestor is a Runnable that just calls requestLayout().) This is done after I've recorded the new height in a variable mHeight. • Choosing between instance methods and separate functions?

  Adding functionality to a class can be done by adding a method or by defining a function that takes an object as its first parameter. Most programmers that I know would choose for the solution of adding a instance method. However, I sometimes prefer to create a separate function. For example, in the example code below Area and Diagonal are defined as separate functions instead of methods. I find it better this way because I think these functions provide enhancements rather than core functionality. Is this considered a good/bad practice?   I have to select an <a> element from the given class of objects. when i click on the anchor tag in the showcase_URL class, i want the jquery function to get the value from <a> tag. How can this be done? I cannot make this an id as I am running a while loop to construct all the elements in php. there would be multiple objects of this class. there is no definite selector through which I can get the value of the anchor tag.   I am new to using the PHPExcel and am struggling to implement a basic reader that can be used to read only specified columns, with all rows from a spreadsheet into an array, which I would like to present in a webpage. After reading the supplied documentation and examples, I am struggling to wrap my head round the implementation of a number of examples, so any help would be much appreciated. • iPhone TabbarController Switch Transition

  I've implemented gestures (touchBegan-moved-ended) in order to allow for swiping through my tabs. It works. I'd like to add a slide-from-left and slide-from-right transition. It would be better if it could be part of the gesture if statement which tells me if the swipe is towards the right of left. Since I determine which tab is displayed from that, I could show that specific transition along with the new tab. So my question is this: what's the simplest way to simplement a slide transition at a specific instance. I don't want it to be for the whole tabbarcontrol since this is specifically for the swiping. The problem is that this body is multibyte encoded and I need to return a Unicode string. I guess, I have to use ::MultiByteToWideChar() function, but how can I guess, what codepage should I apply? Using CP_UTF8 is naive, because it can simply be not in UTF8. Using CP_ACP works, well, sometimes, but sometimes does not. So, my question is: how can I retrieve the information about message codepage. Does MAPI provide any functions for it? Or is there a way to decode multibyte string, other than MultiByteToWideChar()?   Hello Everyone, For the last few hours I've been trying to set up this http://code.google.com/apis/books/docs/dynamic-links.html on a WordPress blog. Google's API sends back a JSON response (which is supposed to be "put" into _GBSBookInfo variable). However, that variable never is assigned so my javascript callback function explodes saying the variable doesn't exist. So far, all of my javascript is in the WordPress header. I tried this outside of WordPress and it works fine. • Nhibernate - stuck with detached criteria (asp.net mvc 1 with nhibernate 2) c#

  OK so I can't find a good example of this so I can better understand how to use detached criteria (assuming that's what I want to use in the first place). I have 2 tables. Placement and PlacementSupervisor My PlacementSupervisor table has a FK of PlacementID which relates to Placement.PlacementID - though my nhibernate model class has PlacementSupervisor . Placement (rather than specifically specifying a property of placement ID - not sure if this is important). What I am trying to do is - if values are passed through for the supervisor ID I want to restrict placements with that supervisor id. Secondly I don't understand how to achieve what I'm trying to do so have just been trying various combinations of projections, and property aliases and subquery options..as I don't get how I'm supposed to join to another table/entity when the FK key sits in the second table. Can someone point me in the right direction. It seems like such an easy thing to do from a data perspective that hopefully I'm just missing something obvious!!

• C++ return a "NULL" object if search result not found

  I'm pretty new to C++ so I tend to design with a lot of Java-isms while I'm learning. Anyway, in Java, if I had class with a 'search' method that would return an object T from a Collection< T that matched a specific parameter, I would return that object and if the object was not found in the collection, I would return a NULL. Then in my calling function I would just check if(T != NULL) { ... } In C++, I'm finding out that I can't return a NULL if the object doesn't exist. I just want to return an 'indicator' of type T that notifies the calling function that no object has been found. I don't want to throw an exception because it's not really an exceptional circumstance. class Node { ....   Has anybody here got any experience in creating simple tooptips using JQuery? I know that with myxpos variable does change whenever the mouse is moved because i tried it out using an alert(myxpos) and as expected, if the mouse moves, a new alert box popups with a new value. I just cant work out how to place that value in a tooltip?

  Before anything, I apologize if this question has been asked before. I am programming a simple packet sniffer for a class project. For a little while, I ran into the issue where the source and destination of a packet appeared to be the same. For example, the source and destination of an Ethernet frame would be the same MAC address all of the time. I custom-made ether_ntoa(char *) because Windows does not seem to have ethernet.h like Linux does.
