  I would like to know how I can send emails from my web app that I have hosted in a shared server. First of all I would like to know if I can, so my question is: what should I check? I heard that I should have a mail server in my hosting, so I tried telnet smtp.tirengarfio.com 465, but I get: telnet: could not resolve smtp.tirengarfio.com/465: Name or service not known tirengarfio.com is the domain where the webapp is hosted. What can I do?

My question is if I set the value of a variable in a - (void)dowhatever when the void ends, will the contents of the variable be erased? • Debugging a performance issue on ListBoxDragDropTarget (Silverlight Toolkit)?

  I have a complex project using SilverLight Toolkit's ListBoxDragDropTarget for drag-drop operations and it is maxing CPU. I tried to reproduce the issue in a small sample project, but then it works fine. The problem persists when I remove our custom styles and all other controls from the page, but the page is hosted in another page's ScrollView. "EnableRedrawRegions" shows that the screen gets redrawn on every frame. My question is this: How can I track down the cause of this constant redrawing?

  I am looking for a (preferably pure) python library to do AES 256 encription and decryption. This library should support the CBC cipher mode and use PKCS7 padding according to the answer to an earlier question of mine. The library should at least work on Mac OS X (10.4) and Windows XP. Ideally just by dropping it into the source directory of my project. I have seen this by Josh Davis, but am not sure about how good it is and if it does the required CBC cipher mode...   I know this isn't strictly program related, but I think I've seen this answer on SO before and lost track of it. The specific question has to do with reading an electronic document. I find it helpful to move the cursor across the words as I'm reading them. This works great with Word documents, but I'm unable to do it with web pages.   I need some way to find the elapsed time or time taken in milliseconds for a function to execute in compact framework. For the same I tried DateTime.Now.Millisecond. But DateTime.Now.Millisecond always return 0. Also I tried with Now.Tick. But it also returns the value in multiplication of 1,00,00,000 which means it always returns seconds part ignoring the milliseconds. My question is how to determine the time elapsed in millisecond on compact framework.

  my apologies in advance for a python and json nubie question. json seems to be hiccuping on the following statements: {"delete":{"status":{"id":12600579001,"user_id":55389449}}} code snippet: temp = json.loads(line) text = temp['text'] I get the following error output when the above code snippet encounters lines similar to the above json 'dictionary': text = temp['text'] KeyError: 'text' Is it because there is no "text" key in the line or because "delete" is not in the dictionary?

• XCode project compiling

  Hi, I get the chromium source and I am able to compile it fine under MaxOS X. My question is why every time I power off my laptop and then re-open my XCode project and click 'Build and Go (Debug)', XCode recompiles EVERYTHING (even I have not modified any file). Is there any way to config to compile when needed? Thank you for any suggestion.
