• What is Causing This Memory Leak in Delphi?

  I just can't figure out this memory leak that EurekaLog is reporting for my program. I'm using Delphi 2009. Here it is: Memory Leak: Type=Data; Total size=26; Count=1; The stack is: System.pas _UStrSetLength 17477 System.pas _UStrCat 17572 Process.pas InputGedcomFile 1145 That is all there is in the stack. EurekaLog is pointing me to the location where the memory that was not released was first allocated. According to it, the line in my program is line 1145 of InputGedcomFile. That line is: CurStruct0Key := 'HEAD' + Level0Key; where CurStruct0Key and Level0Key are simply defined in the procedure as local variables that should be dynamically handled by the Delphi memory manager when entering and leaving the procedure: var CurStruct0Key, Level0Key: string; So now I look at the _UStrCat procedure in the System Unit. Line 17572 is: CALL _UStrSetLength // Set length of Dest and I go to the _UStrSetLength procedure in the System Unit, and the relevant lines are: @@isUnicode: CMP [EAX-skew].StrRec.refCnt,1 // !!! Surely a simple concatenate of a string constant to a local string variable should not be causing a memory leak. Why is EurekaLog pointing me to the ReallocMem line in a _UStrSetLength routine that is part of Delphi? This is Delphi 2009 and I am using the new unicode strings. Any help or explanation here will be much appreciated.

• MVVM Prism Nested Regions Can't Find Child Regions

  I have a Menu (Telerik RadMenu) that has nested regions defined in the Shell. In my modules I will register the modules menu or toolbar items with these regions. Everything works fine for the root regions, but when I try and add something to a child region, such as the File region on the Menu, I get the error "The exception message was: The region manager does not contain the FileMenuRegion region." However like I said if I change this code regionManager.Regions[RegionNames.FileMenuRegion].Add(menuItem); to this regionManager.Regions[RegionNames.MainMenuRegion].Add(menuItem); everything works fine. Below is the XAML for my menu so you can see the region names and how they are constructed. Any help would greatly be appreciated as this is bewildering and driving me crazy. • Maven error: Unable to get resource / Server redirected too many times

  Our proxy went down and I tried to update dependencies with maven while it was off. Since then I can't download anything with maven. I get this error for everything. I tried -U option, deleting my local repository and tried different maven version (2.0.9, 2.2.1) but it doesn't work. Any idea how to solve this? Earlier it also said 'repository will be blacklisted' to all of them. • Refresh UltraGrid's GroupBy Sort on child bands when ListChanged?

  I am using Infragistics 2009 vol 1. My UltraGrid is bound to a BindingList of business objects "A" having themself a BindingList property of business objects "B". It results in having two bands: one named "BindingList`1", the other one "ListOfB" thanks to the currency manager. I would like to refresh the GroupBy sort of the grid whenever a change is performed on the child band through the child business object and INotifyPropertyChange.   Hello!! I'm trying to implement NTLM authentication on IIS (Windows Server 2003) from Windows 7 with python. LAN Manager Authentication Level: Send NTLM response only. Client machine and server are in the same domain. Domain controller (AD) is on another server (also running Windows Server 2003). I recieve 401.1 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials. • System.Net.WebClient doesn't work with Windows Authentication

  I am trying to use System.Net.WebClient in a WinForms application to upload a file to an IIS6 server which has Windows Authentication as it only 'Authentication' method. WebClient myWebClient = new WebClient(); myWebClient.Credentials = new System.Net.NetworkCredential(@"boxname\peter", "mypassword"); byte[] responseArray = myWebClient.UploadFile("http://localhost/upload.aspx", fileName); I get a 'The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized', actually it is a 401.2 Both client and IIS are on the same Windows Server 2003 Dev machine. When I try to open the page in Firefox and enter the same correct credentials as in the code, the page comes up. However when using IE8, I get the same 401.2 error. Tried Chrome and Opera and they both work. I have 'Enable Integrated Windows Authentication' enabled in the IE Internet options. The Security Event Log has a Failure Audit: Logon Failure: Reason: An error occurred during logon User Name: peter Domain: boxname Logon Type: 3 Logon Process: ÈùÄ Authentication Package: NTLM Workstation Name: boxname Status code: 0xC000006D Substatus code: 0x0 Caller User Name: - Caller Domain: - Caller Logon ID: - Caller Process ID: - Transited Services: - Source Network Address: 127.0.0.1 Source Port: 1476 I used Process Monitor and Fiddler to investigate but to no avail. Why would this work for 3rd party browsers but not with IE or System.Net.WebClient?

• Running PowerShell from MSdeploy runcommand does not exit

  Im am trying to get MSDeploy to execute a PowerShell script on a remote server. This is how i execute MSDeploy: msdeploy \ -verb:sync \ -source:runCommand='C:\temp\HelloWorld.bat', \ waitInterval=15000,waitAttempts=1 \ -dest:auto,computername=$WebDeployService$Credentials -verbose HelloWorld.bat contains: echo "Hello world!" powershell.exe C:\temp\WebDeploy\Package\HelloWorld.ps1 echo "Done" The HelloWorld.ps1 only contains: Write-Host "Hello world from PowerShell!" However, it seems like PowerShell never terminates. This is the output from running the msdeploy: Verbose: Performing synchronization pass #1. • VS 2010 VSTO Add in for EXCEL 2007 Won't load

  Hi everyone, We have an application that is built with Excel as the front end using the Office object model. We were using a C++ shim to load it as a COM add in for Excel 2003, but I've updated it to use the latest VSTO for Excel 2007. I've also been using VS 2010 for the latest version. The problem is that everything works great on my dev machine in debugger mode as well as just launching Excel 2007, but I cannot get it to run on any other machine (my current target machine is Win7, development is XP). I've created a ClickOnce deployment of the Addin, and I can see it in the list of COM Addins, but when I check on it to load it nothing happens. I re-open the Addins manager and it is un-checked. I've also tried setting in in the registry, but as soon as I run it, it sets the registry back to do not load. I've tried everything I can think of and searched all over the web but no dice. Any help would be appreciated!

When there are too much widgets to fit in the window, I want to use a scrollbar, so I put tix.ScrolledWindow inside that Frame and add my widgets to this ScrolledWindow instead. But the same code works fine in the 3.1.3 simulator / device. Who can help me with either of these two problems?

• SSRS 2005 - Cascading parameters and default value update problem

  I have a report with cascading parameters. The first parameter is Finanical Period Type, being either Month or Week. The second parameter is a list of either financial months or weeks depending on what was selected for the first parameter. This all works well and selecting a series of different Financial Period Types in sequence correctly updates the second parameter's values. However I now wish to add a default value for the second parameter, which is once again dependent on the first parameter. So I've added an additional field to the dataset populating the second parameter called DefaultPeriod and set the second parameter's default value to be retrieved from the above field. The first time I select the Financial Period Type, the default is correctly set. However changing the Financial Period Type results in an updated list for the second parameter, but the default is incorrect. It remains set to the original default value, even thought the dataset has been refresh and the DefaultPeriod field is correct. This is both an issue in the IDE and on the Report Manager site.

  I am trying to install a SSL certificate on IIS 7. I have download a free trial certificate. After that, this is the steps what I do: Click the Start menu and select Administrative Tools. Start Internet Services Manager and click the Server Name. In the center section, double click on the Server Certificates button in the Security section. From the Actions menu click Complete Certificate Request. Enter the location for the certificate file. Enter a Friendly name. Click OK. Under Sites select the site to be secured with the SSL certificate. From the Actions menu, click Bindings.This will open the Site Bindings window. In the Site Bindings window, click Add. This opens the Add Site Binding window. Select https from the Type menu. Set the port to 443. Select the SSL Certificate you just installed from the SSL Certificate menu. Click OK. This is the step where I get the message: One or more intermediate certificates in the certificate chain are missing. To resolve this issue, make sure that all of intermediate certificates are installed. For more information, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/954755 After this, when I access the web site on its first page, I get this message: There is a problem with this website's security certificate. What am I doing wrong?

• axis2 web service behave differently when tested with web service client or with local test class

  Hello I need to update a facade to some web service proxy classes to a third party web service, and expose them as a service. This for two reason : to maintain the same interface for all application that need to use the system : actually its migrating and there are a few differences in the third party ws (method names); and to expose a simplified interface. The third party has provided me with a manual and some pregenerated proxy classes to their service (the java file says generated with axis2 1,4) . I've used netbeans 6.8 and the axis2 plugin to create an axis2 service . This service contains the proxy classes and the facade class which instantiate the web service proxy and calls its method; the facade class is exposed as service. I've used axis2 1.4 (at beginnig and later 1.5 ) and tomcat 6.0. The first test i did was to call the facede methods from inside the project itself and it worked. Then i've created a new project with a jax-ws web service client to call my class deployed on axis2. At this point has happened two strange thing : In the axis2 services page has appeared the third party proxy class as if it were a new service (if i try to get the wsdl axis raises an error ). eg. the proxy interface is named WebServiceAPI (_stub is the concrete class) and , after the first call to my service , i find a new "WebServicesAPI1272968932531_1" service inside axis . The call obvoiusly fail i've began to sniff soap messages with wireshark and i've found they differs when using proxy classes direclty from my facade test class by the messages created after being deployed on axis. i've noticed they differs for the presence of the soap header in the failing message. any help would be greatly appreciated : maybe i messed up something, there might be some incompatibilities or version mistakes? below i've added the signature of the third party proxy, its impementation and the different soap messages: /* * WebServicesAPI.java * This file was auto-generated from WSDL * by the Apache Axis2 version: 1.4 Built on : Apr 26, 2008 (06:24:30 EDT) */ package com.ibm.eci.wsapi;   I have a really odd behavior here: I created a little popup dialog in jQuery UI, and in my test HTML page, it works flawlessly. When I click on the button, the popup comes up, covers the background, and remains on screen until I click on one of the two buttons (OK or Cancel) provided. So now I wanted to add this into my ASP.NET 3.5 app. I wanted to add it to a GridView inside a user controls (ASCX), which is on a page (ASPX) contained inside a master page. The jQuery 1.4.2 and jQuery UI 1.8.1 scripts are referenced on the master page: <body> <form id="XXXXXX" runat="server"> <Ajax:ScriptManager ID="masterScriptManager" runat="server" ScriptMode="Auto"> <Scripts> <asp:ScriptReference Path="~/Scripts/jquery-1.4.2.min.js" /> <asp:ScriptReference Path="~/Scripts/jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.min.js" /> </Scripts> </Ajax:ScriptManager> I had to change this to use the Ajax script manager, since adding them to the as never worked. So in my gridview, I have a column with image buttons, and when the user clicks on those, I am calling a little javascript function to show the jQuery UI dialog: function showDialog() { $("#dlg-discount").dialog('open'); $("#txtAmount").focus(); } When I run this page in MS IE 8, I get a separate page, and at the top of the page, I get the contents of my , with proper background color and all. In Firefox 3.5.6, I do get the dialog as a popup. In both cases, the dialog page/popup disappears again after a second or less - without me clicking anything! It seems similar to this question but the solution provided there doesn't work in my case. This one here also seems similar but again: the solution presented doesn't seem to work in my case... Any ideas / hints / tips on what the h** is going on here?? Thanks!

  See the code below. If I initialize more than one entity context, then I get the following exception on the 2nd set of code only. If I comment out the second set it works. {"The underlying provider failed on Open."} Inner: {"Communication with the underlying transaction manager has failed."} Inner: {"Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component."} Note that this is a sample app and I know it doesn't make sense to create 2 contexts in a row. However, the production code does have reason to create multiple contexts in the same TransactionScope, and this cannot be changed. Edit Here is a previous question of me trying to set up MS-DTC. It seems to be enabled on both the server and the client. I'm not sure if it is set up correctly. Also note that one of the reasons I am trying to do this, is that existing code within the TransactionScope uses ADO.NET and Linq 2 Sql... I would like those to use the same transaction also. • Using QTDesigner with PyQT and Python 2.6

  Hi. I'm fairly new to Python and trying to work with the latest versions of QTDesigner, PyQT 4.7 and QT4.7 (I downloaded the whole package from PyQT4.7 website). I can't figure out how to make QTDesigner integrate closely with Python: ie. If I select "Form" View Code in QTDesigners menu, it errors saying "Unable to launch C:/Python26/Lib/site-packages/PyQT4/bin\uic." If I look in that directory there is a pyuic.py but not "uic". From searching online it seems this doesn't exist because it's expecting a C++ install instead of the python version. Is there anyway to make QTDesigner use/call pyuic.py to generate the code, then open an IDE or text editor of my choice to show me the PYTHON code generated by the QTDesigner-PyUIC chain? I'd like Designer to integrate closely with python, so I can make custom slots/signals in Designer while designing, then tweak the python code directly in my IDE later. If it is not possible to code directly inside QTDesigner using python, does that mean I have to hand code my programs entire UI directly in my PythonIDE? Using Designer directly would seemingly be nearly very very nice for a newbie such as myself, since I can see what properties each widget has and visually edit them while still learning the QT syntax without constantly having to use web resources to see what properties each widget should have and helps with boilerplate code generation, and what their defaults are, etc. I've googled and nobody seems to be using QTDesigner and Python in this manner together. It seems most are either handcoding all the QT code in their Python IDE of choice, or have found an obvious/easy method of doing what I want, therefore not really producing up to date tutorials on making this work together. Please enlighten me if you can. Thanks in advance for your time. Please include any suggestions you might have to a newbie trying to use Python with QT and QTDesigner. Thank you.

How to add customized test case? Here, share my experience. After repo sync all source, you can't directly run "make" to build all source. You will get some errors. Now, I'am trying to first build android source without cts, and then build cts alone. • Using SSIS Web Service Task with WCF

  Hello, I am using SQL Server 2008 SSIS for importing data to the DB and .Net 3.5 SP1 for Creating the WCF service. In the import task I am trying to use the Web Service Task to report to a WCF service. At first I encountered a problem with the WCF WSDL, the Web Service task couldn't get their code generated from the metadata exposed by the WCF service. So I found a blog post at Christian Weyer's Blog talking just about that. Now after I can successfully load a WCF service to the Web Service Task and get the functions generated just fine from the WSDL I encountered another problem. I get an error from the SSIS package at runtime saying that "Method 'ProxyNamespace.MyService.GetData' not found." The full Error is: Error: 0xC002F304 at Web Service Task False, Web Service Task: An error occurred with the following error message: "Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Tasks.WebServiceTask.WebserviceTaskException: Could not execute the Web method. The error is: Method 'ProxyNamespace.MyService.GetData' not found.. at Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Tasks.WebServiceTask.WebMethodInvokerProxy.InvokeMethod(DTSWebMethodInfo methodInfo, String serviceName, Object connection) at Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Tasks.WebServiceTask.WebServiceTaskUtil.Invoke(DTSWebMethodInfo methodInfo, String serviceName, Object connection, VariableDispenser taskVariableDispenser) at Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Tasks.WebServiceTask.WebServiceTask.executeThread()".   I'm confused about the differences and relationships between the various Microsoft ASP.NET AJAX components/libraries/toolkits and particularly the naming of them. It starts off relatively simple with ASP.NET AJAX itself: ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 (available for ASP.NET 2.0 in a separate package called ASP.NET 1.0 Extensions) ASP.NET AJAX 3.5 (included with ASP.NET 3.5) ASP.NET AJAX 4.0 (included with ASP.NET 4.0) Then come the various projects on CodePlex and elsewhere: ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit (aka Original Ajax Control Toolkit) Samples CodePlex It seems that the September 2009 Release is the final release of the Original Ajax Control Toolkit and that it's been superseded by... • WPF DataGrid window resize does not resize DataGridColumns

  I have a WPF DataGrid (from the WPFToolkit package) like the following in my application. <Controls:DataGrid> <Controls:DataGrid.Columns> <Controls:DataGridTextColumn Width="1*" Binding="{Binding Path=Column1}" Header="Column 1" /> <Controls:DataGridTextColumn Width="1*" Binding="{Binding Path=Column2}" Header="Column 2" /> <Controls:DataGridTextColumn Width="1*" Binding="{Binding Path=Column3}" Header="Column 3" /> </Controls:DataGrid.Columns> </Controls:DataGrid> The column width should be automatically adjusted such that all three columns fill the width of the grid, so I set Width="1*" on every column. I encountered two problems with this approach. When the ItemsSource of the DataGrid is null or an empty List, the columns won't size to fit the width of the grid but have a fixed width of about 20 pixel. How can I get rid of them?
