Can't resolve "UnauthorizedAccessException" with MVC 2 application running under IIS7

We use MVC controllers that access System.File.IO in our application and they work fine in localhost (IIS 6.0-based Cassini). Deploying to IIS7, we have problems getting the controllers to work because they throw UnauthorizedAccessExceptions. We have done the following to try to resolve the issue: - Set NETWORK SERVICE and IUSR accounts to have permission on the files and folders in question - Ensured the App Pool is running under NETWORK SERVICE and loading the user profile - Application is running under full trust - We tried adding impersonation to web.config and giving NETWORK SERVICE write permissions Now, we alternate between getting UnauthorizedAccessException and an IIS7 404 page that suggests the routes are being ignored completely (for example we serve "/favicon.ico" via a controller when the physical file actually lives at /content/images/favicon.ico). We used ProcessMonitor to try to track down the issue but weren't successful.

Playing flash (.flv) videos on the web in a way that portable devices can view them

A friend of mine has created a movie for my site, it's in .flv format. I've heard of the popular flash player called flowplayer, but I have a bad feeling such a player will not work on the ipad and other devices which do not support flash. Is there a way to play a video in the flash format through a non-flash player so that the content can be viewed on all devices? I'm open to any ideas. Perhaps I may even need to convert the video to another format somehow. Thanks for any help, Evan

php regex expression to get title

I'm trying to strip content titles out of the middle of text strings. Could I use regex to strip everything out of this string except for the title (in italics) in these strings? Or is there a better way? Joe User wrote a blog post called The 10 Best Regex Expressions in the category Regex. Jane User wrote a blog post called Regex is Hard! in the category TechProblems. I've tried to come up with a regex expression to cover this, but I think it might need two. The trick is that the text in bold is always the same, so you could search for that, like this: regex: delete everything before and including wrote a blog post called regex: delete in the category and everything after it.

Is there a way getting all countries, states,cities zipcodes/ in one single database. I have been looking all over. I discovered geonames.org, which has I guess all of the content. But there is no way to fetch that data directly. I am using rails. If there any helpers or Plugins, it'd be great. It would be awesome if there is a complete resource in any parsable format which I can use to get this database in place. Currently i am setting item delegate for its content so as to draw/paint line type instead of displaying names. All line types are drawing currectly but as soon as i am selecting any line type from the combobox, the current index of combo box is displaying just the line name and not painting it. Preview a git push

How can I see which commits are actually going to be pushed to a remote repository? As far as I know, whenever I pull master from the remote repository, commits are likely to be generated, even if they're empty. This causes the local master to be 'forward' even if there is really nothing to push. Now, if I try (from master): git cherry origin master I have an idea of what's going to be pushed, though this also display some commits that I've already pushed. Is there a way to display only the new content that's going to be pushed?

I built a .NET web service connecting to an MSSQL database. There is a web service call GetAllQuestions() that will not change. I saved the result of GetAllQuestions to GetAllQuestions.xml in the local application folder and set it to content. Can YQL parse web sites requiring cookie-based authentication?

First, my use case: I'm trying to use YQL's built in XPATH capabilities to scrape content from Yahoo! Fantasy Sports. It uses some sort of cookie-based authentication scheme. Basically, the sequence is: 1) Do an HTTP GET on the Yahoo! Login page 2) Parse the hidden inputs from the response and do an HTTP PUT with your Yahoo! Login on the form URL 3) Use the cookies returned from step 2 to GET any of the Fantasy Sports! websites that you have access to My question is, does YQL support doing this to scrape data? The only authentication based examples I've seen use OAuth, but I haven't seen any examples of using YQL to parse websites with cookie-based authentication schemes

iPhone UIScrollView / setContentOffset weirdness

Hi, I have a weird issue with setContentOffset which I don't seem to be able to solve: I'm trying to build an "endless" scroll view, so I'd like to reset the content offset at a certain position. With the code below setContentOffset will be called at x=160px. If I drag the scroll view my log looks like this: offset: 158 offset: 159 offset: 160 offset: 80 offset: 160 What happens is that my setContentOffset (to 80) is performed, when I keep on dragging UIScrollView seem to have forgotten about it and continues at 160. Even weirder: When I set animated:YES it works. Maybe a timing issue? JKS, CER, SignCode issue

Currently, I've got an intresting problem about signing an EXE file using the SignCode tool from Microsoft and a certificate (from GlobalSign)... So, we've bought a new certificate as the current one will expire in short time. The original format is JKS. I exported this certificate from .JKS to .CER so I can install on local machine in the Root Trusted Certificates section. I've installed it and if I open the certmgr.msc I can see it, but if I open the Control Panel - Internet Options - Content - Certificates - Root Trusted Certificates etc then I can't see it... I thought it should be here as well. When I run the signcode.exe tool I get the "unable to open a csp provider with the correct private key" error message. Note! The signcode.exe command is correct, because it works if I test with the old certificate. Please advise. Thank you in advance! Serge

i have a jqueryui re-sizable div. I want only the width to be re-sizable and the height to remain auto, so that the div grows or shrinks with the content. If i set it to display only the east handle and use css height:auto, after resize the height also gets set even though only the width changed. I have to set the height to auto on resize event everytime like so: resize: function(event, ui) { $(this).css('height', 'auto'); } to prevent the height from being set. Is there a better way to prevent the height from getting set when only the east handle is used?

G'day, I'm not sure if this is a problem relevant to only me or if anyone else has this issue also. None the less, I'll try and describe what is going on here. I have a few textbox's, default style, etc. I set an explicit maxwidth and maxheight to prevent resize when the text exceeds the default width of the textbox. The issue is that the text wraps to the next line, but I only want single line. So I set maxlines to 1 and textwrapping to NoWrap. That's fine. Now the carat and typed text disappears under the edges of the textbox when the width is exceeded and the only way I can get the carat and newly typed text back into view is by pressing the left and right arrows. Coming from MFC and using textboxes all the time with HTML, I would have thought the default behaviour would be to have the textbox content scroll with the carat or am I missing something here? treeview binding wpf cannot bind nested property in a class

Hi all New to wpf and therefore struggling a bit. I am putting together a quick demo before we go for the full implementation I have a treeview on the left with Continent Country City structure when a user select the city it should populate some textboxes in a tabcontrol on the right hand side I made it sort of work but cannot make it work with composite objects. In a nutshell can you spot what is wrong with my zaml or code. Why is not binding to a my CityDetails.ClubsCount or CityDetails.PubsCount? force close when assign onclick to button

hi, i am very new in android development as well as in java. i had developed an application that gets an image url from a site and wanted to download it into the device and later on i would like to enable users to set it as wallpapers. however, i am met a problem when assigning onclick event to a button. Once i uncomment the line in red, it will pop up a box stating that the application was stopped unexpectedly.
