• IIS6 Problems with ASP.NET MVC.

  Hello, I have a ASP.NET MVC page. I Configured a IIS Website and added the additonal H:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll. my Directory Structure is like that / ../App_data/ ../bin/ ../Content/ ../Properties/ ../Scripts/ ../Views/ ../Default.aspx ../Global.asax ../Web.config My page is configured to port 9090. If i try to access the page i get the "default" Page. But if i try to access any other page than the //myServer:9090 like //myServer:9090/home (which is the default method in my HomeController) i get a "page not found" error page. For me it looks like he does'nt execute the assambly. In the Debbuging Server all runs nice. What could be the Problem? P.S: If i forgort something pls ask for! thanks!

• Custom view in ListView disappears while scrolling in Android

  Hi. I wrote a simple custom view for rows in ListView. It works fine, but when I try to scroll the list, I see only white rows without content. And when scrolling is over, rows continue to show again.   Hi, I have an xml file the content which i have to write to a Database table using ssis pacakge. I am using xml source nad oledb destination My issue now is this xml file generate multiple outputs .(event,produt,offer,form) etc. But i need to write all in one data row(more than one if 2 products are there for the event) in the database. But i do not know how to use this multiple outputs and make a single row for a event. I hav read numerous articles about this subject but not able to take a decision.what is the right way of doing this. 1) xml source ? (if i use this how do i merge the multiple outputs) 2) or a script task using xml objects read and write to the DB. or anything new ? • Where to get MSDN Help Viewer for 2010 like earlier MSDN with Index, Tree and one window?

  I upgraded to Visual Studio 2010 RC, and I remember filling one big form for MSDN help improvement campaign and I was wondering I will get to see a Help Viewer like MSDN included in Visual Studio 2008, which included One Program (Not IE), Index and the way to view preferred language setting. Google results shows that there were headlines that Microsoft Help Viewer released for 2010 RC, but where is it? is it the same one which opens in IE and has absolute difficult way to view it? Current MSDN opening in IE is so inconvenient, there is no index, there is no grouping of content, like I typed search for TextBox and it showed up for ASP.NET, WinForms and I got lost to find out the reference in multiple pages for search results.

• Problem with View - it does not refresh after db update

  Hi, I am working with small ASP.NET MVC project - online store. I have addToCart method which adds selected product to cart - it updates cart table in my db and showing cart view with its content. But I have problems. While db is updating correctly the view does not. I see that quantity of the product in my db is incremented correctly but quantity in view is not changed. I have to stop debugging my app in visual studia and restart it - then my view is showing correct data. What can be wrong?

• Jquery AJAX and figuring out how NOT to nest callbacks for multiple reloads.

  I have a site with a few containers that need to load content dynamically via AJAX. Most of the links inside of the containers actually load new data in that same container. I.E: $("#navmenu_item1").click(function() { $("#navmenu").load(blah); }); When I click on a link, lets say "logout," and the menu reloads with the updated login status, none of the links now work because I would need to add a new .click into the callback code. Now with repeated clicks and AJAX requests I am not sure how to move forward from here, as I am sure nested callbacks are not optimal. What would be the best way to do this? Do I include the .click event inside the actual AJAX file being pulled from the server, instead of within index.php? Or can I somehow reload the DOM? Thanks for the help!

  Hi, I've a big GWT module which comprised of many java classes (& of course it's impossible to break it down into several modules). My GWT application consists of some forms, but the users usually work only with a few of them, anyway they should be abale to open any form as they need. Now my problem its that gwt generates a big js file that will load each time, but most of its content may never use! Is there any way to break the big js module file into several smaller files(for example, one file for each class) & gwt load them automatically as needed ?

  I have created a new custom list form that will show 4 fields on the page from a Custom List called "Shipment". I have added Form Action button that I would like to run a custom action that is set inside of a Workflow. Currently, the form displays the fields for "Manifest Number", "Pickup Location", "Delivery Location", & "Scheduled Pickup Time". When the user clicks the Form Action button, what I want the Workflow to do is go to the ID field of the displayed content in the Form and change the value of the "Picked Up" column from No to Yes. The problem I am having is passing the ID of the displayed information from the Form to the Workflow as a variable. I can get the "Picked Up" column to update if I specify the value in the "Update List Item" window under the "Find the List Item" section, but I cannot figure out how to do this dynamically from the Form

  I am looking how to approach following problem: We have application that displays text with audio recorded material. We use Browser Control (Internet Explorer) in Delphi App to do this. We respond to events in Delphi code setting innerHTML for elements if we have to update the style ... Now, request is to add option to dynamically move the cursor or dynamically highlight the words spoken from the paragraph. It doesn't need to match absolutely the exact word spoken so we will have to dynamically update the content of position of highlighted word based on some timer or something (because it is not text to speach). What should be the most practical and easy approach to this kind of problem, all answers are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

• Updatepanel refresh messing up JqueryUI in IE7

  Hey everyone, This is a bit of a long shot as I don't have access to the code at the moment. However, there's nothing 'special' about the code. I'm using a combination of JqueryUI and ASP.NET UpdatePanels. If I click any of the trigger controls (asp.net button), the partial-postbacks are fine. However, if I click on a trigger control after clicking on a JQueryUI button, then the entire layout messes up and a lot of the content moves upwards. I can just about reach a JQueryUI button, and when I click that, the layout returns to normal and everything's fine until I click the trigger control again. The page works fine in all latest browsers, but this problem appears in IE 7. I hope maybe someone has come across a similar problem in IE 7 and found a workaround/solution. I've been trying to fix it for a couple of days, but no luck. Thanks for any advice.

• Authkit - deferring action for HTTP '401' response to client application

  Form, Redirect and Forward all send an unauthenticated user to a Form on a login page specified within an Authkit middleware application. I'd like to allow a client application to request a service via XHR and then present a custom 'client side' form if a HTTP status code of 401 is returned, which would then post to Authkit for authentication until valid authentication/authorization occured. Specifically, 1) a jquery $.get request might request a resource. 2) if an Authkit cookie check confirmed previous authorization the content would be returned. 3) if not I would like Authkit to simply return the '401 response' (and not redirect to another page, or return a form template) where a client side exception handler would notify the user and present an authentication form. Can Authkit work like this?

  I'm using Jekyll to create a new blog. It uses Liquid underneath. Jekyll defines certain "variables": site, content, page, post and paginator. These "variables" have several "members". For instance, post.date will return the date of a post, while post.url will return its url. My question is: can I access a variable's member using another variable as the member name? See the following example: {% if my_condition %} {% assign name = 'date' %} {% else %} {% assign name = 'url' %} {% endif %} I have a variable called name which is either 'date' or 'url'. How can I make the liquid equivalent of post[name] in ruby? The only way I've found is using a for loop to iterate over all the pairs (key-value) of post. Beware! It is quite horrible: {% for property in post %} {% if property[0] == name %} {{ property[1] }} {% endif %} {% endfor %} Argh! I hope there is a better way. Thanks.

  When i drag and drop my image/script/css file into my view, relative path will automatically use to refer on the files. example: <link href="../../Content/style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <script src="../../Scripts/jquery-min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <img src="../../Images/logo.jpg" /> It is working fine when i host it on my root directory, but if i'm using virtual directory then only my css file able to refer correctly, the rest will return 404...as it will refer to http://{root}/Images/logo.jpg rather than http://{root}/{virtual directory}/Images/logo.jpg But why css file is working? and how to specify the relative path correctly for both root & virtual directory cases?

• z-index has no effect in IE7 with Google Map and Navigation Sub-Menus

  I feel like the problem is extremely apparent. I'm working on an issue with a client's site, which actually happens on several of my clients' sites but this one is the most apparent. IE7 Is refusing to obey z-index rules. I've played around with differing values, particularly on the divs #mapWrapper and #map. This program(that is for console) will be called like this: /Storage Card/Test coms file.cmss As you can see, file.cmss is the first argument, but on my main I have a condition to show the help(the normal, how to use the program) if the arguments are smaller than 2: if(argc < 2) { showhelp(); return 0; } But when I execute the program on the command-line of Windows CE(using all the necessary arguments) I got the showHelp() content. Then I've checked all the code, but it's entirelly correct. But I think that eVC++ don't use argc and argv[] for arguments, then I want some help on how to determine the arguments on it.

• Strategy in exporting to Excel with formatting from ASP.NET?

  So this is another exporting to Excel question. I have a page that has a table with formatting by stylesheet. When I export the page by setting the ContentType to application/excel and Content-Disposition to attachment, I can export the table to Excel (not CSV). However, it loses all formatting. I think it's because Excel does not load CSS and I guess that's reasonable. So, in a scenario where I have to show the table on the web and also export to Excel, both with similar (even if not exact) formatting, what would be the best approach without using something like NPOI? I am trying to minimize the work and keep the single template if possible. Is it necessary for me to create two separate templates: one with stylesheet, the other with embedded style in the table itself for Excel? Having a single template with conditional formatting inside would be very messy. Any ideas?

  Hello, Can someone help me with this I am trying to set and catch the url variable It begins with a form wich has the standard action set to "/autorisation/logout" Then a button with an inline javascript function function tbPayout() { parent.location = "/autorisation/logout?rcgo=payout"; return true; } <input src="/images/go02.gif" type=image border=0 name="go1" onClick="return tbPayout();"> In the autorisation controller I try to catch it if ( isset($_GET['rcgo']) ) { but it doesn't work and I can't see the variable in the url and therefore the default forms action is performed? I also have another redirect page with content="3; url=http://www.domain.nl/index/index?rcgo=logout" /> and that works fine How can I get the javascript to work because I have three submit buttons that need to be set to different get variables. • How easy is it to hack a plist file in an app store app?

  Don't worry, I'm not trying to hack someone else's app, if that's what you're thinking =). I want to have 2 versions of my app, a free version and a deluxe version. My plan was to use an in-app purchase to enable the deluxe version by setting a boolean value in the plist file. My question is: is this secure or is it easily circumvented? And if it is not secure, can someone suggest a simple alternative? I don't want to download additional content, I would rather keep all of the functionality within the app and enable it somehow.
