  • NoSuchMethodErrors say the darndest things

    So, I'm working in eclipse were everything compiles and runs correctly. However, when compiling under ant for the build server, A large number of tests fail with a NoSuchMethodError saying: class A implements B interface B extends C C requires method getSyncID() // standard getter for an int field. A.java contains getSyncID() A.class contains getSyncID() and yet the Error is still thrown. Does anyone know how the hell this could happen? how to fix it.

    I need to automate packing of Java EE projects into EAR archive in Eclipse. The most easy way, I think, is using Ant script. But writing of Ant from start is routine and long task. Is there a way to generate Ant script based on my actions in eclipse (like macros in MS Office)? Or, maybe, exists easier way to do this? Thanks!

I'm trying to write it so that if the user leaves the input blank, then the letter that would otherwise be taken to generate the username defaults to the letter 'z'.   • File upload-download in its actual format.

    hi, I've to make a code to upload/download a file on remote machine. But when i upload the file new line is not saved as well as it automatically inserts some binary characters. Also I'm not able to save the file in its actual format, I've to save it as "filename.ser". I'm using serialization-deserialization concept of java. Thanks in advance.

    Hi there, I'm loosing my hair trying to figure out why net.sf.json.JSONObject add extra backslash where it shouldn't on my java code : JSONObject obj = new JSONObject (); obj.element ("column_name", "<a href=\"#\" title=\"test\">Test !</a>"); will output : <a href=\"#\" title=\"test\">Test !<\/a> with an extra "\" near <\/a.     Hi, I wanted to use this code to send archives with Xmodem: http://www.java2s.com/Code/Java/Network-Protocol/JModemsimplecommunicationsprogram.htm In this case, I want to establish a dialup connection between two computers and send a binary file. But this code doesn't let me set a phone number to dial after i setup the port and before I transfer the file. Is there any way of sharing the port with another application that dials the phone number?

    I want to view events over specific time range for a specific calendar, but am having trouble using the API, It is a generic API, and it reminds me of using the DOM. The problem is that it seems difficult to work with because much of the information is in generic base classes. How do I get the events for a calendar using Groovy or Java?     I am using CsvJdbc (it is a JDBC-driver for csv-files) to access a csv-file. I don't know how many columns the csv-file contains. How can I get the number of columns? Is there any JDBC-function for this? I can not find any methods for this in java.sql.Resultset. For acessing the file, I use code similar to the example on the CsvJdbc website.

    Hello everyone, I'm trying to pass an SQL query string from a Java Applet to Servlet as a parameter. Problem is that in Applet I have something say: sql=select * from p where(+p=1) The resulting sql parameter in the Servlet is sql=select * from p where(+p=1). So anyone knows how to prevent the browser from removing the + character from parameters? Is there a escape character? Thank you.
