I tried to build them in netbean 6.8 and I got this error SEVERE: Exception while preparing the app java.lang.RuntimeException: javax.naming.NamingException: Lookup failed for 'jdbc/PetstoreDB' in SerialContext [Root exception is javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: PetstoreDB not found] Seems like it cant find 'jdbc/PetStoreDB'. So I went back to the website and it look like I have to build the database via Ant script.   After 10 hours and trying 4 other HTML to PDF tools I'm about ready to explode. wkhtmltopdf sounds like an excellent solution...the problem is that I can't execute a process with enough permissions from asp.net so... Process.Start("wkhtmltopdf.exe","http://www.google.com google.pdf"); starts but doesn't do anything. Is there an easy way to either: -a) allow asp.net to start processes (that can actually do something) or -b) compile/wrap/whatever wkhtmltopdf.exe into somthing I can use from C# like this: WkHtmlToPdf.Save("http://www.google.com", "google.pdf");

  I am trying to XOR two bitmap files (their byte arrays) to produce a byte array that can be used to change image A into image B or vice versa. I am sending this over the network so I would like to do some basic compression before this happens. Is there a way to do RLE (run length encoding) in C# (using a built-in, or fast reliable 3rd party library) on a byte array for this purpose? Notes: If you are going to suggest an alternative to my approach please keep in mind that the decompression and transformation on the remote machine has to be as quick and efficient as possible.

  Hello, I am going to develop a content rich application that ideally should have been an iPhone-app, but since I'm short on time, I will stick with technologies that I can, such as JQuery, CSS and HTML. The more mobile devices my site runs on besides iPhone, the better. A brief search on the web leaves me with the impression that there are three tools I may use: iWebkit, JQTouch and iUI. I have toyed about with JQTouch, which I find impressive and simple to use. With simplicity comes lack of customizability; I would very much like to have sliders and other cool features in my GUI. • C# Open Source/Free Social Networking SDK

  I am currently gathering some technology requirements for a site that will be a social network based. I don't want to re-invent the wheel so i am looking for some type of SDK or collection of tools that can provide me with a way of creating/managing a social network. I understand that no framework will probably fit my exact needs so I am also looking for a flexible/extendable framework. An example extension point would be allowing the user to provide sub networks, maybe a global network that could be sub classified as work and friends. Beyond that it would also be nice to somehow be able to import contacts from other networking sites (Facebook, Linked In, etc). My current technology suite will more than likely consist of the following: IIS 7.0 WCF Data Services SQL Server 2006 ASP.NET front end. • Deployment Error: Silverlight 4.0 w/WCF RIA Services in ASP.NET MVC 2 App

  I've got an MVC 2 App with an RIA Services link to a Silverlight Application. On my local machine, all is well, but when I deploy to Discount ASP servers, neither the MVC controller nor the WCF RIA services called from silverlight function: A silverlight datagrid gets a load error: System.ServiceModel.DomainServices.Client.DomainOperationException: Load operation failed for query... The remote server returned an error NotFound. In the MVC page where I had a simple table that worked prior to adding an EF model and DomainDataSource, I now get the error: Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information. This is very similar to an issue I had before, but after upgrading from the betas of WCF/Silverlight 4, but the fix I had added there doesn't seem to work any longer. • QNetworkAccessManager timeout.

  Hi, Presently I am working on an application which sends and receives file from remote server. To do network operation I am using QNetworkAccessManager. To upload a file I am using QNetworkAccessManager::put() and to download I am using QNetworkAccessManager::get() functions. While uploading a file I will initialize a timer with time out of 15 sec. if I upload a small file it will complete it within the time out period. But if I try to upload a file which is very large in size get time out. So how to decide time out for uploading of large file. Same in case of downloading of a large file. I get file in chunk by chunk in readyread() signal. Here also if I download a large file I get time out. So how to decide time out for uploading of large file.
