• Can't get heroku work with rails 3.x postgresql

  I followed Heroku official guides to push rails project to heroku. The application.rb file is ok, I added pg gem and database.yml in the right way.   Hi, I'm trying to write my own abstraction over the MessageBoxImage enumeration, and see that MessageBoxImage is defined as: namespace System.Windows { public enum MessageBoxImage { None = 0, Error = 16, Hand = 16, Stop = 16, Question = 32, Exclamation = 48, Warning = 48, Asterisk = 64, Information = 64, } } How does the Show method determine whether to display an Error image or a Hand image? How would I write a method which takes a MessageBoxImage type, and return a CustomMessageBoxImage type which maps to the MessageBoxImage type, as I can't include both MessageBoxImage.Error and MessageBoxImage.Hand in the same switch statement?

• How do I see what connections are being made?

  My DDWRT router is showing that my computer has a connection count around 600! The router is at 100% CPU use. How can I see what's making all the connections? So far, I've opened up Resource Monitor and checked the network tab. I can sort by which program is using the most network bandwidth (Pale Moon browser), but I can't see what's making all of the connections. Or rather, where all the connections are being toward (trying to find what tab must be making all of these connections). I've also tried netstat -A, but it apparently doesn't show the actual number of connections being made. At least, the list of established connections isn't very long, by any means (like enough to account for the 500+ connections apparently being made.

• PECL install fails

  Hey! I have browsed every Google result, read all the forum posts about this error, but I cannot solve it. When using PECL install for anything, I always end up getting this error: checking whether the C compiler works... configure: error: cannot run C compiled programs. Everything else succeeds up to that point them bam! I'm using CentOS 4.3, PEAR is the latest stable version, GCC is a stable and recent version. Everything is working as it should, but the C compiler always seems to error. I've tried to make tmp have the right privilages for the operation by temporarily enabling it using: mount -o remount,exec,suid /tmp But that doesn't work. I've literally tried everything that has been suggested by to no avail. Any ideas?

• JSON array deserialization is crashing the Dalvik VM

  I have some code grabbing a JSON array from my server and initially storing it as a string. This all works fine until I try and deserialize it using google's gson fromJson method. LogCat spits out the error: 04-08 17:46:35.163: ERROR/dalvikvm(401): Can't shrink stack: curFrame is in reserved area (0x41049000 0x410491c4) My code that causes the error is: String[] results = gson.fromJson(returnString, String[].class); Can anyone shed some light on what I am doing wrong? • How to (hardware) RAID 10 on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS with 4 drives and motherboard with RAID contoller

  I have 4 500GB hard drives. I set up a RAID 10 in BIOS, much like shown here: http://www.supermicro.com/manuals/other/RAID_SATA_ESB2.pdf Then I followed these instructions: http://www.unrest.ca/Knowledge-Base/configuring-mdadm-raid10-for-ubuntu-910 Basically I cannot get it to work. I go through the instructions when I get to the "partition" section of the install, creating 4 RAID 1's (2 partitions on each drive, one for primary and one for swap space), then combining to make a RAID 10. Unfortunately it still shows 2 partitions, one 500 GB and another being 36GB for some reason. Any ideas? I think best would be if anyone had found good instructions (step by step) for how to do this...I've been googling for hours and haven't found anything...

  I was trying to use one of these IDE to SATA adapters (Syba SD-ADA50016 IDE/SATA Converter Bi-directional IDE to SATA) and I connected a working hard drive (Seagate Barracuda 500 GB SATA 3.5 Inch 7200 RPM Version 12 Desktop Internal Hard Drive ST3500418AS). I could get the drive to be recognized by the BIOS, but I couldn't boot a Linux disc or install to the drive. I tried to install pfSense to this drive and the install failed because the setup couldn't recognize the file. Has anyone heard of these adapters giving trouble and/or not working properly? I would like to be able to use this device for newer drives on older boards.

However the drive supports upto 300 MBps right ? How do I increase the transfer speeds? P.S - Using Windows XP, All partitions are NTFS.

• I split partition in Windows 7 home edition but the Windows doesn't reboot

  I Have Geniune Windows 7 home edition and my Laptop is Pavilion HP DV6 . I had only 1 partition of 500+ GB i Wanted to make another partition. I read somewhere in forum that I have to make my C: logical and then I'd be able to split C: I did the same thing using Partition Wizard. I made C: of 125 GB and shift rest of the space in New drive. I made a bootable disk, performed all the task using partition Wizard After that I have not been able to boot my windows. Even after running system restore several times.

• Postfix "warning: cannot get RSA private key from file"

  I just followed this tutorial to set up a postfix mailserver with dovecot and mysql as backend for virtual users. Now I got the most parts working, I can connect to pop3 pop3s imap and imaps. Using echo TEST-MAIL | mail [email protected] works fine, when I log into my hotmail account it shows the email. It also works in reverse hence my MX entry for mydomain.com finally has been propagated, so I am being able to receive emails sent from [email protected] to [email protected] and view them in Thunderbird using STARTTLS via IMAP. Doing a bit more research after I got the error message "5.7.1 : Relay access denied" when trying to send mails to [email protected] using Thunderbird being logged into [email protected], I figured out that my server was acting as an "Open Mail Relay", which - ofcourse - is a bad thing. Digging more into the optional parts of the tutorial like shown workaround.org/comment/2536 and workaround.org/ispmail/squeeze/postfix-smtp-auth I decided to complete these steps aswell to be able to send mails via [email protected] through Mozilla Thunderbird, not getting the error message "5.7.1 : Relay access denied" anymore (as common mailservers reject open relayed emails). But now I ran into an error trying to get postfix working with SMTPS, in /var/log/mail.log it reads Sep 28 17:29:34 domain postfix/smtpd[20251]: warning: cannot get RSA private key from file /etc/ssl/certs/postfix.pem: disabling TLS support Sep 28 17:29:34 domain postfix/smtpd[20251]: warning: TLS library problem: 20251:error:0906D06C:PEM routines:PEM_read_bio:no start line:pem_lib.c:650:Expecting: ANY PRIVATE KEY: Sep 28 17:29:34 domain postfix/smtpd[20251]: warning: TLS library problem: 20251:error:140B0009:SSL routines:SSL_CTX_use_PrivateKey_file:PEM lib:ssl_rsa.c:669: That error is logged right after I try to send a mail from my newly installed mailserver using SMTP SSL/TLS via port 465 in Thunderbird. Thunderbird then tells me a timeout occured. Google has a few results concerning that problem, yet I couldn't get it working with any of those. Only problem is making postfix properly use the self-generated, self-signed certificates. Any help appreciated! EDIT: I just tried this different tutorial on generating a self-signed certificate for postfix, still getting the same error. I really don't know what else to test. The certificate/key check via openssl did show that both files are valid. So it indeed has been a permissions problem! Didn't know that chown'ing the /etc/ssl/*/postfix.pem files to postfix:postfix is not enough for postfix to read the files.

  I had to deploy an application that was not written by me onto the above configuration. It is a rather bizarre hybrid of asp.net and classic asp and it's the classic asp that is proving troublesome. The client is having problems with 500 Internal Server Errors appearing and I can see some of these in the logs but I only get the error code and the page name but little else. What I would like to see is the actual error message to at least give me an idea what is going on (or not going on, depending on your point of view) I don't want to display errors in the browser as I don't know the code well enough and this could (for all I know) display some crazy code where the db password is hard-coded into the site.

• PHP script timed out, or otherwise killed on Apache under CentOS (shared host)

  When trying to run a PHP script (CentOS, Apache, PHP 5.2), that may take a long time, it is apparently killed after 45 minutes. PHP script is invoked from a web browser, and in certain situations, it will do a lot of work processing a POP3 mailbox and sending emails as part of an automated monitoring system. Running the PHP script from the command line might be a better option, but I want to understand what is going on so far. I ran a test script, and it appeared to finally give an internal server error (500?) after 45 minutes. Where is this limit set and what is killing the script, if that is what is happening? It's running on a shared host on Hostgator.com.

• How to provide stl like container with public const iterator and private non-const iterator?

  Hello, I am deriving a class privately from std::list and wish to provide public begin() and end() for const_iterator and private begin() and end() for just plain iterator. However, the compiler is seeing the private version and complaining that it is private instead of using the public const version. I understand that C++ will not overload on return type (in this case const_iterator and iterator) and thus it is choosing the non-const version since my object is not const. Short of casting my object to const before calling begin() or not overloading the name begin is there a way to accomplish this?   Hi, I'm getting a "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: javax.ejb.EJBObject" error when I'm running my application as a JAR file. When running it in Eclipse everything is working fine. The application properly access the main class and the main method. But when it tries to load the application context it cannot resolve a reference to an EJB bean. I then get the following error: Error creating bean with name 'bc' defined in class path resource [blabla.xml]: Initialization of bean failed; nested exception is java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/ejb/EJBObject at org.springframework.beans.factory.support.BeanDefinitionValueResolver .resolveReference(BeanDefinitionValueResolver.java:275) ... Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: javax.ejb.EJBObject I've included all runtime-scoped dependencies with Maven in the JAR file. Do you know any further information regarding this error?
