• TFS: How do I view .cs files in the VS IDE when viewing details of a shelveset?

  For our code review process we open the details of a shelveset to see all files that have been worked on. Right clicking and choosing "Compare" works great for existing ( modified ) files. But, when a file has been added I just want to view the file. Double clicking ( or right click - view ) opens .cs ( and .sql )files in notepad. When I try to open a .PRC file ( extension for our stored procedures ) I get a prompt that allows me to choose what program to use for viewing. Does anyone know how to get this prompt to show up for .cs files ( and all other files, for that matter ) Thanks! • Can I enable PreviewClick using InputBindings in WPF?

  I want to detect when a user clicks on an item on a listview, without using events as I do command binding and I don't like all the nonsense of the behaviours.   I'm not sure if there is an explanation on SO for beginners, but if so, could you provide the links. I am interested in creating a "recent viewed" function that shows what links they clicked on before. I'm not sure if this is the 'correct' way to do it, but this is what I have so far... user clicks on a link(say ad.php?posting_id=12). if the user doesn't click on the link, no cookie or session is stored for the link if the user clicks on the link, it sets a cookie for $_cookie['ad.php?posting_id=22'] Each time the user clicks, more cookies are set In the recent viewed function, it gets all the $_cookie variables and displays them. if the user wants to clear the history, just destroy all the cookies I'm not sure if this is the way to do it, but is the viable? If not, what are the steps to create a "recent viewed" function

• VS2008 - 'Set as startup project' setting dissapearing.

  I have a solution with a bunch of projects in it. The 'startup' project is a ASP.NET MVC Web Application. I set as the startup project (by right clicking on it in Solution Explorer and selecting 'set as startup project'. The project title goes bold and everything works fine for a while. Then I will be editing one of the supporting projects, and come to click the 'Start Debugging' button, and bang - the 'project of this type cant be started' message. I then check, and the web project is no longer set as the startup project. And so on.... Anyone know why this is happening?

• Silverlight caching HTTP POST which results in a 404

  Situation: I am developing a Silverlight-Application which needs Component based on a local HTTP Listener. The HTTP-Listener can't be 'required' to be installed and running when the Application starts, so the Application does the following: Handshake via HTTP POST If Connection failed open a Click-Once Setup to install the component. So far so good.... now the Problem is: If the HTTP POST for the Handshake fails, because the Listener is not running the POST is cached.... and the following Connection Attempts after the Service is running fail, because the HTTP POST is still in Cache after the first try. NOTE: This is NOT a policy-problem. I'm using SL4 PS: I allready tried adding a random parameter to the URL like First try: Second try: didn't work :-(

• Set the path for the location of media files in program

  I have made a Java Swing Desktop application in Netbeans which can play media files I have put the videos in my workspace resources location and in my java program I am calling those media files using an URL which is something like this: C:/users/Dell/My Documents /NetBeansProjects/Media/src/resources/ MediaFiles/ddd.mpg This works well when I run in my IDE and also i have made Jar for this it works well on my computer but the problem is when i copy this jar file on my friends system the interface is coming but when I click a button to play a media file it says: C:/users/Dell/MyDocuments/NetBeansProjects/Media/src/resources/ MediaFiles/ddd.mpg does not exist So, please provide me a solution of how to set the default path so that when I run a jar file on other systems it should play the media file location I am passing as in my program. How to set the path for the location of media files in program? Update The videos are in the jar file.

  First I am a complete novice and need answers in plain and simple terms. I am trying to get the users manual for my Samsung galaxy s4 phone. Samsung "help" sent me a link to click but when I received it it was in Spanish tho the doc I'd said "english". The Samsung support line timed me out because I couldn't type fast enough when I told them I received it in Spanish. I explored the translator and didn't see how to translate a doc. Asked Google how to get the manual they gave a different doc I'd and sent it to clipboards. How can I read it? Now what? Tried to send this message and asking me for a tag and I have no idea what that means so I just clicked one. That's why I need the manual so desperately. • Tag property null when data binding

  Can anyone see what is wrong with this? • I have a problem implementing states in my Flex app, please help!

  Hey guys, I'm trying to work out how to use states in my Flex app. I've created two states, State1 and Stage 2. Both are based off the base state. I've created a few visual elements for State1, and given each of them includeIn="State1". But when I'm in design mode and click on State2, these elements are still visible? Why is that? If I try to delete them while State2 is selected, all that happens is RemoveChild is added to the State2 tag. Is this how I'm supposed to do it? Thanks for reading!

  Dear All! I have a datagrid which contains bid and ask - prices for currency-symbols. The data is updated every seconds. I update the data by creating a new collection of my viewmodel-entities and bind this collection to the datagrid every second. The problem is: Because my datagrid contains a template-column with a button "buy", this button is also recreated every second! This means, that when the user hovers the button, the hover-styles blinks, as the button is recreated every second. Additionally sometimes the click-event is not fired correctly, if the button is recreated while the user has his mouse-left-button pressed. Any suggestions, how to solve real-time-update a datagrid with button-columns?

• Automated browsing with javascript?

  I'm trying to do some browser automation, but I'm having some problems. Basically, what I'd like to do is load a set pages, set some forms options, click a button and view the results for each page that I open. Originally, I tried to do this by placing the pages I wanted to automate in iframes and then using javascript to drive the interactions I want in each, but that results in a Permissions Error, since the sites I want to automate are not on my server. Is there any way around this? The other possibility I've thought of is to use QT's webkit class and the evaluateJavaScript method to accomplish what I'd like to do, but this seems a bit more heavy weight for something that is, conceptually, pretty simple.

• Download and replace Android resource files

  My application will have some customisation for each company that uses it. Up until now, I have been loading images and strings from resource files. The idea is that the default resources will be distributed with the application and company specific resources will be loaded from our server after they click on a link from an email to launch the initialisation intent. Does anyone know how to replace resource files? I would really like to keep using resource files to avoid rewriting a lot of code/XML. I would distribute the application from our own server, rather than through the app store, so that we could have one version per company, but unfortunately this will give quite nasty security warnings that would concern our customers.

• Referencing control on one form from another form VB.NET

  My gosh man, why is this so complicated in VB.NET? As you can guess, I'm kind of new to .NET and just want to reference a control on one form from another. Usually I would just do Form.Control.Property but that doesn't work and every example I've found through Google doesn't work for me. It just seems overly complicated with public classes, etc. Is there a more simpler way to do this? I'm ready to throw in the towel and just use a global variable at this point. I have the form containing the control I want to reference, frmGenerate which has a textbox called txtCustomerNo. From this form through a button's click event I want to show another form, frmCustomers, and have that form reference the value in txtCustomerNo. frmCustomers.ShowDialog() It has to be something simple that I'm just not grasping.   Hi, I have a requirement to create a simple windows forms application that allows an admin user to manage the Services on remote servers. We don't want to give the admins the usernames and passwords to the servers so these will be encrypted and stored in a database. My question is whether or not it is possible to spawn a Services.msc window when impersonating one of the users stored within the database? I have looked at the ProcessStartInfo class but because Services.msc is not an executable it does not seem to like executing this. Any ideas on a simple way of doing the actual impersonation and loading of Services.msc - say off a button click? Thanks

• DrawString only works in top-left part of form vb.net

My problem is that it will ONLY draw the string in the upper-left portion of the form, roughly 260x260 starting at 0,0. It literally cuts off the text if it goes beyond. Why is this? Shouldn't it work for the entire form?

  In the left navigation i have a series of check boxes and a grid view in the page body.Grid view results changes based on the check box selection,whenever i click on the links in grid view it goes to the second page and there is a link on the page which takes me back to the first page,but the check box selected value is maintained for the first time only and if we repeat the same process for the second time and i see that the first time selection of the check box is maintained.Here the grid view is placed in update panel and the check box in the left is called using .... AsyncPostBackTrigger ControlID="cphLeftNavigation". I've tried removing the above code referring the cphLeftNavigation and i see the results are coming up correctly and the last selected check box value is being maintained correctly and i want the same functionality to be implemented with/without update panel. Can anyone let me know,what exactly should i change to implement the above mentioned functionality.

• Active Index is not being persisted in jQuery accordion change event

However, when I load the page, the alert shows index 1 which is correct on the first load, but if I open up pane 3 for example, the alert shows 1 still. Am I doing something wrong?
