• Is it possible to programmatically set the state of the shift and control keys?

  The reason I am asking is that I am thinking of building a foot switch to act as shift and control keys - well two switches, one for each foot. I'm planning on using the Arduino for this and writing a small C# application to detect when the switch has been pressed that would then set the state of shift or control. I would rather not have to write a keyboard driver for the Arduino as I would like it to do other things as well.

  Hi, i was planning to use jquery autocomplete for a site and have implemented a test version. Im now using an ajax call to retrieve a new list of strings for every character input. The problem is that it gets rather slow, 1.5s before the new list is populated. What is the best way to make autocomplete fast? Im using cakephp and just doing a find and with a limit of 10 items.   Our development team is planning to upgrade from visual studio 2005 to visual studio 2010 -- skipping out visual studio 2008. Most of the projects are VB ASP.NET projects and using SQL Server 2008 as the database. Does anyone know if VS 2005 projects will upgrade seamlessly to VS 2010, or should they first be upgraded to VS 2008? Are there any gotchas?

• Detect file creation date on iPhone OS?

  I was planning on writing some code whose logic was based upon testing the creation date of a particular file in my app's Documents folder. Turns out, when I call -[NSFileManager attributesOfItemAtPath:error:], NSFileCreationDate isn't one of the provided attributes. Is there no way to discover a file's creation date? Thanks.

The thing is I contacted db4o support asking if db4o would be suitable for a website, and they answered me that only for websites with low concurrency. That means with few requests?
