    I must've killed over an hour on what seems to me like strange behaviour that happens in Firefox, Safari and Chrome. I've tried using various ways of obtaining the document dimensions, including nesting canvas in a 100% wide & tall absolutely positioned div, as well as extracting the document.documentElement.clientWidth/Height properties. Just to be sure I'm not going insane, I've placed an image in place of the canvas, and voila, the same code worked perfectly to stretch the image out to document dimensions. What am I doing wrong here? I'm too tired to understand. Must.. drink.. something.

In the implementation of where article, I found the following snippets, but I don't get what is the advantage that we are gettting by splitting the original method into two. But, I don't get it. Could some one please explain it in a little more detail, whats the difference between these 2 functions and why will the validations be performed in one and not in the other eagerly? Conclusion/Solution: I got confused due to my lack of understanding on which functions are determined to be iterator-generators. I assumed that, it is based on signature of a method like IEnumerable<T>. But, based on the answers, now I get it, a method is an iterator-generator if it uses yield statements.

    I have an FBML app that will use the tab as a promo tab before the full app goes live. The purpose of the promo tab is to allow users to opt in to email notifications (using the FB API sendNotifications call), so I need to prompt them to allow the app and grant extended permissions on that promo tab. Grant extended permissions (intab)</a></h1> The result.php page just tags the API to ensure the allow prompt will show up. The problem is with the Step 2. Once the user has allowed the app, and they click on the Step 2, nothing happens. If they click on it twice, THEN the extended permissions dialog box popups up, but it asks them to grant extended permissions TWICE. OR.... If the user clicks on Step 1, and allows the app, and then reloads the fan page tab, they only have to click on the Step 2 link once, and the permissions show up. Anyone have any ideas? I have been beating myself in the head over this for hours.

    My html webpage calls php script to upload files to the server from a local computer as follows. <form enctype="multipart/form-data" action="upload.php" method="POST"> <p><b><h3> <font color="#003366"> (1) Upload your reading text file. </font> </h3> </b> </p> <INPUT type="file" name="uploaded" size="50" > <br/> <input type="submit" name="files" value="upload"> </form> In order to process with an uploaded file, my php script calls shell script $output=system('/bin/sh connector_0.sh'); and my shell script is composed of a series of python/perl scripts. #!/bin/sh python main_senselearner_final_0.py senseLearner.pl -i Uploaded_Files/slinput_0.txt -o Uploaded_Files/presloutput_0 .txt -model modelNNCollocations -model modelJJCollocations -model modelVBColloc ations -pos python smutngslout_0.py python genhtml_0.py Now, the problem is the following: all python scripts in shell script worked fine through php. But perl script didn't work. When I run shell script by myself in my server, all four scripts in shell worked perfectly. However, when I run shell script from php, only perl script doesn't work.   • Updating Embedded Video in Firefox

    I am working on a Videos page where my intention is to load a video with the page but by clicking a link, the original video will be updated and replaced with the corresponding video. For instance, if video1 loads with the page and the user clicks to view video2, the original div's innerHTML holding video1 is updated to play video2. Now, I have works great in IE and Chrome but nothing loads at all in Firefox. Below are some snippets of my code. Any idea how to load these videos in a manner that Firefox supports? And on a smaller note, every time a link in clicked in IE, a '#' is added into the title bar. So clicking three or four videos would result in the page title being followed up with three or four # signs.

  • Using variables before include()ing them

    I'm using a file, page.php, as an HTML container for several content files; i.e., page.php defines most of the common structure of the page, and the content files just contain the text that's unique to every page. What I would like to do is include some PHP code with each content file that defines metadata for the page such as its title, a banner graphic to use, etc. For example, a content file might look like this (simplified): <?php $page_title="My Title"; ?> <h1>Hello world!</h1> The name of the file would be passed as a URL parameter to page.php, which would look like this: <html> <head> <title><?php echo $page_title; ?></title> </head> <body> <?php include($_GET['page']); ?> </body> </html> The problem with this approach is that the variable gets defined after it is used, which of course won't work. Output buffering also doesn't seem to help. Is there an alternate approach I can use? I'd prefer not to define the text in the content file as a PHP heredoc block, because that smashes the HTML syntax highlighting in my text editor. I also don't want to use JavaScript to rewrite page elements after the fact, because many of these pages don't otherwise use JavaScript and I'd rather not introduce it as a dependency if I don't have to.

I'm not really sure how to create the array or object to pass on as $myParam since im no expert with PHP either.

  • Embedded CSS Media Queries Not Working

    I am new to CSS media queries, and I was first trying to get pdf/mp3/mp4 buttons to get centered on this page whenever a mobile device is using it (http://www.mannachurch.org/portfolio-type/recycled-junk/). Keep in mind for that I am using a highly modified wordpress theme. So I tried experimenting to isolate this issue. However, I don't seem to have any control over using media queries and I can't even perform anything even on this simple HTML file: <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>Title of the document</title> <style type="text/css"> body{background-color: blue;} @media only screen and (min-device-width : 599px) and (max-device-width : 600px) { body {background-color:black; } } </style> </head> <body> <p>This is an experiment<p/> </body> </html> What am I doing wrong?
