  hi, I get the following error when I try to install Parallel Tools on my Ubuntu in Parallel Desktop. • memory not freed in matlab?

  I am running a script that animates a plot (simulation of a water flow). After a while, I kill the loop by doing ctrl-c. After doing this several times I get the error: ??? Error: Out of memory. And after I start receiving that error, every call to my script will generate it. Now, it happens before anything inside the function that I am calling is executed, i.e even if I add the line a=1 as the first line of the function I am calling, I still get the error and no printout, so the code inside the function doesn't even get executed. What could be causing this?

  Lately our Apache web server has been giving us this error multiple times per day: [Tue Apr 06 01:07:10 2010] [error] Server ran out of threads to serve requests. Consider raising the ThreadsPerChild setting We raised our ThreadsPerChild setting from 50 to 100, but we still get the error. Our access logs indicate that these errors never even happen at periods of high load. For example, here's an excerpt from our access log (ip addresses and some urls are edited for privacy). Since the Apache server runs as a separate process and the database doesn't record any problems when this error occurs, I'm doubtful that Oracle is the problem. Unfortunately, the errors are freaking out our sysadmins, who are inclined to blame any and all problems which occur with the server on this error. Is this a known bug in Apache that I simply haven't been able to find any reference to through Google?

  I have a WPF application that uses the WPF WebBrowser control to display interesting web pages to our developers on a flatscreen display (like a news feed). The trouble is that I occasionally get a HTML script error that pops up a nasty IE error message asking if I would like to "stop running scripts on this page". Is there a way to suppress this error checking? NOTE: I have disabled script debugging in IE settings already.

• mysql backup and restore from ib_logfile failure

  Here's the case: After computer being hacked, we are in a rush to backup all data out to other computer. As a result, the mysql databases are not backup out as sql statement. What we have done is backup out all the physical files/folders in the C drive to new computer. Eg: C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 4.1\data In this case, all data for mysql are inside unreadable file. Inside data folder consist of files like ib_logfile0, ib_logfile1, but not ib_data1 All database's table structure format are inside each respective folder. (Some folder have .frm, .opt) (some other folder have .frm, .myd, .myi) How can I retrieve back the data from the database in a new computer? I tried to install the same mysql version(4.1) at new computer, then replace all backup files inside data folder into this mysql in new computer. Then restart mysql service. When I restart, it fail: Could not start mysql service on local computer. error 1067: process terminated unexpectedly. However that token comes out as an array of bytes. It's hard to use it later to send it to the server... anyone knows how to convert an array of bytes to pchar or string?

• problem with codeigniter using odbc database driver

  i’ve run into a curious problem with codeigniter's odbc driver. i’m connecting from a linux machine to an MSSQL 2008 machine using FreeTDS. while i get that the ‘num_rows’ function always returns -1, and that is fully a database/driver issue - for some reason when i try to create a -result(), the whole application crashes (error 500, sometimes just a blank page), if i’m lucky, i get an error message informing me that the application died because it tried to allocated 2 terrabytes of memory(!). This happens irregularly, ie: every few refreshes. sometimes it runs fine, sometimes the page returns error 500 and sometimes it gives the memory allocation error - in any case it’s not really something that can be reproduced with percision, and the queries are SUPER simple. ideas anyone?

  Hi everybody. I'm working with gwtai to integrate a java applet into my gwt - project. Basic communication from my main application to the applet (such as invoking simple methods that return int or boolean values) works. But the main reason why I need to integrate this applet is, that I need it to connect to another server and receive a answer and pass it to my gwt-application. So there's one basic method in the applet: public String SendAndReceive(String host, int sendPort, int receivePort, String query) that connects to the server, receives an answer and returns this answer as a string. When I now try to invoke this method like this: applet.SendAndReceive("0.0.0.0", 9099, 2000, "show streams;"); I constantly run into following error (full error message at the end): com.google.gwt.core.client.JavaScriptException: (String): Error calling method on NPObject! [plugin exception: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission * read,write)] I couldn't find a solution (for gwtai is a quite uncommon topic), what I found out (and what the Exception let's one assume) is, that there's a security problem - maybe because I'm connecting to another server. I also read something about browser's Single Origin Policy, what would point in the same direction...up to now I have never worked with java applets. • Internet Explorer 8 64bit and Selenium Not working.

  I am trying to get selenium tests to run. Yet every time I try to run a tests that should run IE I get a error on line 863 of htmlutils.js It says that I should disable my popup blocker. The thing is I went to IE tools- turn of popup block. So it is disabled and I get this error. Is there something else I need to disable. I actually don't even know what version of Internet explorer it is running since I am using Windows 7 Pro 64bit version. So when I do use IE I use 64bit version but I am under the understanding if the site or something like that does not support 64bit it goes to 32bit. So not sure what I need to do it to make it work. First time on this error I tried to retry but it threw the error again and again. If I decide to ignore, then the installation finishes and all the files are correct but the exe to open wampserver. I'm new to iPhone development, but I'm assuming this is the correct and typical sequence. However, as soon as I changed the RootViewController code and set it as a subclass of UIViewController (instead of UITableViewController by default), and made the respective adjustments in Interface Builder, suddenly the RootViewController:viewDidLoad is being called before the application:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions method. I need to get it back to the way it was working before because, as you can see in the code, the viewDidLoad method depends on didFinishLauchingWithOptions method to execute so it can set the rootViewController's managedObjectContext that it uses to perform the fetch request. • Using Unicode in fancyvrb’s VerbatimOut

  Problem VerbatimOut from the “fancyvrb” package doesn’t play nicely with UTF-8 characters. Minimal working example: \documentclass{minimal} \usepackage[utf8]{inputenc} \usepackage[T1]{fontenc} \usepackage{fancyvrb} \begin{document} \begin{VerbatimOut}{\jobname.test} é \end{VerbatimOut} \input{\jobname.test} \end{document} Error message When compiled using pdflatex mini, this gives the error File ended while scanning use of \UTFviii@three@octets. A different error occurs when the sole occurrence of é above is replaced by something else, e.g. é */: Package inputenc Error: Unicode char \u8:### not set up for use with LaTeX. – indicating that in this case, LaTeX succeeds in reading a multi-byte UTF-8 character, but not knowing what to do with it (i.e. it’s the wrong character). In fact, when I open the produced .test file manually, it contains the character é, but in Latin-1 encoding! Proof: when I open the files in a hex editor, I get the following: Original file: C3 A9 (corresponds to LATIN SMALL LETTER E WITH ACUTE in UTF-8) Written file: E9 (corresponds to é in Latin-1) Question How to set VerbatimOut up correctly? filecontents* (from “filecontents”) shows that it can work. Unfortunately, I don’t understand either code so I cannot fix fancyvrb’s code by replicating the logic from filecontents manually. I also cannot use filecontents* instead of VerbatimOut because the former doesn’t work within a \newenvironment, while the latter does. (Oh, by the way: vanilla Verbatim instead of VerbatimOut also works as expected. The error seems to occur when writing the file, not when reading the verbatim input)

  I have an application with a proxy class for my webservice - This works fine in all 32-bit machines. However the same app throws an exception in windows server 2008 64-bit machine. It looks like the temporary class could not be generated for the web service. The error in the event viewer is "error CS0008: Unexpected error reading metadata from file '' -- 'Bad Key.   Hi, I have a telerik grid which is performing operations like searching,sorting,filtering etc. To make customers happy, we put this control in an ajax panel for seamless experience. Now, we added a new functionality to the grid where the customer can download the entire row information as a csv file. As the response is a file, ajax panel is trying to parse the output and throwing the following exception: Microsoft JScript runtime error: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException: The message received from the server could not be parsed. Common causes for this error are when the response is modified by calls to Response.Write(), response filters, HttpModules, or server trace is enabled. Details: Error parsing near '?'. Could you please help me in having both functionalities( Ajax and Download) in place without any error?? Thanks, Mahesh
