  • MVC, can model save/load its data?

    Quick question, my data model is a singleton object and it contains a list of names I want archive. My idea is to make the model responsible for loading / saving this data. The ModelLoad will then be called by the ViewControllerviewDidLoad and the ModelSave by ViewControllerapplicationWillTerminate. I could do the load / save directly within the ViewController, but this would be messy as the list of names are on instance variable of the model. gary

    Its common to observe listview developments for webforms but no common in mvc. on the other hand for mvc I´m only finding grid views displaying tabular data.   • How to set the returnURL manually when using Ajax.ActionLink

    I have this link @Ajax.ActionLink("create poll question", "CreatePoll", new { id = Model.DebateID }, new AjaxOptions { UpdateTargetId = "poll-entry-box", InsertionMode = InsertionMode.Replace, HttpMethod = "GET" }) which is pointing at a action with the [Authorize] Attribute. The login works, but the returnURL is empty so it just redirects to the index page. Is there some way to manually set the returnURL ? NOTE I am using the method described here http://haacked.com/archive/2011/10/04/prevent-forms-authentication-login-page-redirect-when-you-donrsquot-want.aspx because the login page was loading inside my partial.

Is there a way to download, unzip the archive, and load the data to a data.frame using R? #Rstats" I was also trying to do this today, but ended up just downloading the zip file manually. I tried something like: fileName <- "http://www.newcl.org/data/zipfiles/a1.zip" con1 <- unz(fileName, filename="a1.dat", open = "r") but I feel as if I'm a long way off. Any thoughts?

    This is a really weird question and I apologize: I've been asked if it's possible not to import our blog from Wordpress to Drupal but just keep it in Wordpress as an archive and re-direct our users say from hostname/blog/... to hostname/wordpress/... when a URL matches the Wordpress URL pattern. I've never heard of anyone trying this and I'm wondering about pitfalls and whether or not it's even possible. Thanks! D

    MySQL has something like this: INSERT INTO visits (ip, hits) VALUES ('127.0.0.1', 1) ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE hits = hits + 1; As far as I'm know this feature doesn't exist in SQLite, what I want to know is if there is any way to archive the same effect without having to execute two queries. Also, if this is not possible, what do you prefer: SELECT + (INSERT or UPDATE) or UPDATE (+ INSERT if UPDATE fails)

  • Converting Multiple files to zip and saving them in ownCloud

    I wanted to convert an array with some css, js and html files into a zip file and save them in ownCloud (it has it's own framework but it's knowledge is not required.) What I am saving is an infinite loop of zip files, as in, a zip inside a zip so I can't even check that the code is working correctly or not. Please help. That page says, "Please use the documentation appropriate to your current version" but I can't find anything other than the current version (1.8.0) on the Web site - I had to resort to using archive.org to find the old version (which I would consider a hack, not a clean solution)...

  • removing contents of div using Jquery "empty" doesn't work

    I'm trying to remove contents of particular div which are basically list items and a heading by using jquery empty so that I could replace with new contents. What happens when I run the code is, the whole div element blinked and flash the replaced content and then the old one reappear. Can anyone tell me what am I doing wrong?     My company has data messages (json) stored in gzipped files on Amazon S3. I want to use Ruby to iterate through the files and do some analytics. I started to use the 'aws/s3' gem, and get get each file as an object: #<AWS::S3::S3Object:0x4xxx4760 '/my.company.archive/data/msg/20131030093336.json.gz'> But once I have this object, I do not know how to unzip it or even access the data inside of it.

    I try to move my old logfiles to a yyyy\MM\dd folder structure by Get-ChildItem . -Recurse -Include *.log | Move-Item -Dest {"D:\Archive\{0:yyyy\\MM\\dd}\{1}" -f $_.LastWriteTime, $_.Name} -Force but i get a path-not-found error. update I suspect the problem originates from the fact that the source path contains Program Files. sub question: Could the same be done without Get-ChildItem?
