  • WiX unresolved reference error

    - by David
    I'm using Wix version 3.0.5419.0. I have two .wxs files, one which is a fragment, and another which uses the fragment to create the .msi file. Here is the file which uses the fragment (DaisyFarmer.wxs): <?xml version='1.0' encoding='windows-1252'?> <Wix xmlns='http://schemas.microsoft.com/wix/2006/wi' xmlns:iis='http://schemas.microsoft.com/wix/IIsExtension'> <Product Name='Daisy Web Site 1.0' Id='BB7FBBE4-0A25-4cc7-A39C-AC916B665220' UpgradeCode='8A5311DE-A125-418f-B0E1-5A30B9C667BD' Language='1033' Codepage='1252' Version='1.0.0' Manufacturer='the man'> <Package Id='5F341544-4F95-4e01-A2F8-EF74448C0D6D' Keywords='Installer' Description="desc" Manufacturer='the man' InstallerVersion='100' Languages='1033' Compressed='yes' SummaryCodepage='1252' /> <Media Id='1' Cabinet='Sample.cab' EmbedCab='yes' DiskPrompt="CD-ROM #1" /> <Property Id='DiskPrompt' Value="the man" /> <PropertyRef Id="NETFRAMEWORK35"/> <Condition Message='This setup requires the .NET Framework 3.5.'> <![CDATA[Installed OR (NETFRAMEWORK35)]]> </Condition> <Feature Id='DaisyFarmer' Title='DaisyFarmer' Level='1'> <ComponentRef Id='SchedulerComponent' /> </Feature> </Product> </Wix> The fragment I'm referencing is (Scheduler.wxs): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <Wix xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/wix/2006/wi"> <Fragment> <DirectoryRef Id="TARGETDIR"> <Directory Id="dir2787390E4B7313EB8005DE08108EFEA4" Name="scheduler"> <Component Id="SchedulerComponent" Guid="{9254F7E1-DE41-4EE5-BC0F-BA668AF051CB}"> <File Id="fil9A013D0BFB837BAC71FED09C59C5501B" KeyPath="yes" Source="SourceDir\DTBookMonitor.exe" /> <File Id="fil4F0D8D05F53E6AFBDB498E7C75C2D98F" KeyPath="no" Source="SourceDir\DTBookMonitor.exe.config" /> <File Id="filF02F4686267D027CB416E044E8C8C2FA" KeyPath="no" Source="SourceDir\monitor.bat" /> <File Id="fil05B8FF38A3C85FE6C4A58CD6FDFCD2FB" KeyPath="no" Source="SourceDir\output.txt" /> <File Id="fil397F04E2527DCFDF7E8AC1DD92E48264" KeyPath="no" Source="SourceDir\pipelineOutput.txt" /> <File Id="fil83DFACFE7F661A9FF89AA17428474929" KeyPath="no" Source="SourceDir\process.bat" /> <File Id="fil2809039236E0072642C52C6A52AD6F2F" KeyPath="no" Source="SourceDir\README.txt" /> </Component> </Directory> </DirectoryRef> </Fragment> </Wix> I then run the following commands: candle -ext WixUtilExtension -ext WiXNetFxExtension DaisyFarmer.wxs Scheduler.wxs light -sice:ICE20 -ext WixUtilExtension -ext WiXNetFxExtension Scheduler.wixobj DaisyFarmer.wixobj -out DaisyFarmer.msi I'm getting an error when I run light.exe which says "DaisyFarmer.wxs(20) : error LGHT0094 : Unresolved reference to symbol 'Component:SchedulerComponent' in section 'Product:{BB7FBBE4-0A25-4CC7-A39C-AC916B665220}'."   • Strong Naming an assembly using command line compile

    - by David
    I am trying to use NAnt in order to compile and sign an assembly using the vbc compiler. I have a project set up and am able to successfully sign the assembly compiling with VS2010. When I try to sign it using the command line I get this error: vbc : error BC30140: Error creating assembly manifest: Error signing assembly -- The parameter is incorrect. I even created a trivially simple app (just an assemblyinfo.vb file) that will not compile and sign using vbc.exe What am I doing wrong? here is my assemblyinfo.vb: Option Strict Off Option Explicit On Imports System Imports System.Reflection <Assembly: AssemblyVersionAttribute("2010.05.18.0918"), _ Assembly: AssemblyCopyrightAttribute("Copyright © Patient First 2007"), _ Assembly: AssemblyCompanyAttribute("Patient First, Inc."), _ Assembly: AssemblyProductAttribute("Patient First Framework"), _ Assembly: AssemblyDelaySign(false), _ Assembly: AssemblyKeyFile("test.pfx"), _ Assembly: AssemblyTitleAttribute("PatientFirst.Framework")> test.pfx is located in the same folder as assemblyinfo.vb Here is how I am trying to compile it: vbc /target:library /verbose assemblyinfo.vb I also tried using vbc /target:library /verbose assemblyinfo.vb /keyfile:test.pfx and tried using /keyfile parameter without the AssemblyDelaySign and AssemblyKeyFile attributes If I remove the AssemblyDelaySign and AssemblyKeyFile attributes and leave off the /keyfile command line parameter it compiles fine. What is the correct way to do this with vbc? --EDIT: I have found that MSBuild also does not like having the AssemblyKeyFile attribute as I have defined it in the AssemblyInfo.vb, it gives the same failure message. So the only way I can currently get this to build correctly is to set properties on the project to tell it which key file to use and to sign the assembly.

  • How do I solve column width problems in a SSRS Tablix?

    - by David Stein
    I'm creating a simple report from Microsoft Dynamics CRM. When I pull in the following dataset: SELECT FQD.productidname , FQD.NEW_PRICEBREAKS , FQD.NEW_WEEKSARO , ltrim(rtrim(FP.NEW_PRODUCTNAME)) AS NewProductDesc , FQD.productdescription , FQD.quoteid , FQD.quantity , FQD.productiddsc , FQD.baseamount , FQD.lineitemnumber , FQD.priceperunit , FQD.extendedamount , ISNULL(FP.productnumber, '') AS productnumber , ISNULL(FQD.uomidname, '-') AS Unit , FQD.tax AS Tax , FQD.volumediscountamount * FQD.quantity AS Discount , FQD.manualdiscountamount AS MDiscount , FQD.quotedetailid , FQD.crm_moneyformatstring , FQD.NEW_PRICEPERUNIT , FQD.NEW_PRICEPERUNIT_BASE FROM FilteredQuoteDetail FQD LEFT OUTER JOIN FilteredProduct FP ON FQD.productid = FP.productid WHERE (FQD.quoteid = @CRM_QuoteId) The NewProductDesc field is too wide. If I shorted it in design view, it still comes out too wide in the presentation. I think the field is coming out that wide because the database field probably has a bunch of blank spaces at the end of every description. I could not find a way to force that field in the Tablix not to grow horizontally, so I attempted to remedy it in the dataset by replacing the NewProductDesc line with: ltrim(rtrim(FP.NEW_PRODUCTNAME)) AS NewProductDesc However, that has no effect either. Can anyone suggest why this behavior is occuring? Can anyone tell me how I can force the field not to grow horizontally?

  • mexTcpBinding in WCF - IMetadataExchange errors

    - by David
    I'm wanting to get a WCF-over-TCP service working. I was having some problems with modifying my own project, so I thought I'd start with the "base" WCF template included in VS2008. Here is the initial WCF App.config and when I run the service the WCF Test Client can work with it fine: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <configuration> <system.web> <compilation debug="true" /> </system.web> <system.serviceModel> <services> <service name="WcfTcpTest.Service1" behaviorConfiguration="WcfTcpTest.Service1Behavior"> <host> <baseAddresses> <add baseAddress="http://localhost:8731/Design_Time_Addresses/WcfTcpTest/Service1/" /> </baseAddresses> </host> <endpoint address="" binding="wsHttpBinding" contract="WcfTcpTest.IService1"> <identity> <dns value="localhost"/> </identity> </endpoint> <endpoint address="mex" binding="mexHttpBinding" contract="IMetadataExchange"/> </service> </services> <behaviors> <serviceBehaviors> <behavior name="WcfTcpTest.Service1Behavior"> <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="True"/> <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="True" /> </behavior> </serviceBehaviors> </behaviors> </system.serviceModel> </configuration> This works perfectly, no issues at all. I figured changing it from HTTP to TCP would be trivial: change the bindings to their TCP equivalents and remove the httpGetEnabled serviceMetadata element: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <configuration> <system.web> <compilation debug="true" /> </system.web> <system.serviceModel> <services> <service name="WcfTcpTest.Service1" behaviorConfiguration="WcfTcpTest.Service1Behavior"> <host> <baseAddresses> <add baseAddress="net.tcp://localhost:1337/Service1/" /> </baseAddresses> </host> <endpoint address="" binding="netTcpBinding" contract="WcfTcpTest.IService1"> <identity> <dns value="localhost"/> </identity> </endpoint> <endpoint address="mex" binding="mexTcpBinding" contract="IMetadataExchange"/> </service> </services> <behaviors> <serviceBehaviors> <behavior name="WcfTcpTest.Service1Behavior"> <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="True" /> </behavior> </serviceBehaviors> </behaviors> </system.serviceModel> </configuration> But when I run this I get this error in the WCF Service Host: System.InvalidOperationException: The contract name 'IMetadataExchange' could not be found in the list of contracts implemented by the service Service1. Add a ServiceMetadataBehavior to the configuration file or to the ServiceHost directly to enable support for this contract. I get the feeling that you can't send metadata using TCP, but that's the case why is there a mexTcpBinding option?

  • NSDictionary - Read BOOL from Internet-Downloaded Plist

    - by David Schiefer
    Hi, I am downloading a PLIST file from my server using NSURLDownload. Once it is downloaded, I read the file using NSDictionary's dictionaryWithContentsOfFile: method. I need to read a BOOL value, so this is my code: if ([dict objectForKey:string] == [NSNumber numberWithBool:YES]) This however always returns NO, no matter what the value is. The same happens if I replace the == with isEqual:. Am I doing this wrong?

  • C# Using Reflection to copy base class properties

    - by David Liddle
    I would like to update all properties from MyObject to another using Reflection. The problem I am coming into is that the particular object is inherited from a base class and those base class property values are not updated. The below code copies over top level property values. public void Update(MyObject o) { MyObject copyObject = ... FieldInfo[] myObjectFields = o.GetType().GetFields( BindingFlags.NonPublic | BindingFlags.Public | BindingFlags.Instance); foreach (FieldInfo fi in myObjectFields) { fi.SetValue(copyObject, fi.GetValue(o)); } } I was looking to see if there were any more BindingFlags attributes I could use to help but to no avail.

  • Unique Keys not recognized by Entity Framework

    - by David Pfeffer
    I have two tables, Reports and Visualizations. Reports has a field, VisualizationID, which points to Visualization's field of the same name via a foreign key. It also has a unique key declared on the field. VisualizationID is not nullable. This means the relationship has to be 0..1 to 1, because every Reports record must have a unique, not null Visualizations record associated with it. The Entity Framework doesn't see it this way. I'm getting the following error: Error 113: Multiplicity is not valid in Role 'Report' in relationship 'FK_Reports_Visualizations'. Because the Dependent Role properties are not the key properties, the upper bound of the multiplicity of the Dependent Role must be *. What's the problem here? How can I make the EF recognize the proper relationship multiplicity?

  • Jquery.get() not returning any data

    - by David Waters
    Hi I am trying to scrape other people web pages (for the forces of good not evil). I am currently trying to do this with javascript/jquery from with in a browser. I am finding that the no data is returned from the jquery.get() success call back function. My code. $.get('http://www.google.co.uk/', function (data, textStatus, XMLHttpRequest){ alert("status " + textStatus); alert('data:' + data); window.data=data; window.textStatus=textStatus; window.httpReq = XMLHttpRequest}); In my mind this should simply do a get on google store the data in window.data and we are all good. What happens is we get textStatus == success and data == "". the status on the XMLHttpRequest is 4(success). I have looked at the network traffic using a transparent proxy (Charles) and everything looks find there http status 200 plenty of data being returned. I am running this just from the Firebug console in Firefox. Any ideas?

  • Common vulnerabilities for WinForms applications

    - by David Stratton
    I'm not sure if this is on-topic or not here, but it's so specific to .NET WinForms that I believe it makes more sense here than at the Security stackexchange site. (Also, it's related strictly to secure coding, and I think it's as on-topic as any question asking about common website vulnerabiitles that I see all over the site.) For years, our team has been doing threat modeling on Website projects. Part of our template includes the OWASP Top 10 plus other well-known vulnerabilities, so that when we're doing threat modeling, we always make sure that we have a documented process to addressing each of those common vulnerabilities. Example: SQL Injection (Owasp A-1) Standard Practice Use Stored Parameterized Procedures where feasible for access to data where possible Use Parameterized Queries if Stored Procedures are not feasible. (Using a 3rd party DB that we can't modify) Escape single quotes only when the above options are not feasible Database permissions must be designed with least-privilege principle By default, users/groups have no access While developing, document the access needed to each object (Table/View/Stored Procedure) and the business need for access. [snip] At any rate, we used the OWASP Top 10 as the starting point for commonly known vulnerabilities specific to websites. (Finally to the question) On rare occasions, we develop WinForms or Windows Service applications when a web app doesn't meet the needs. I'm wondering if there is an equivalent list of commonly known security vulnerabilities for WinForms apps. Off the top of my head, I can think of a few.... SQL Injection is still a concern Buffer Overflow is normally prevented by the CLR, but is more possible if using non-managed code mixed in with managed code .NET code can be decompiled, so storing sensitive info in code, as opposed to encrypted in the app.config... Is there such a list, or even several versions of such a list, from which we can borrow to create our own? If so, where can I find it? I haven't been able to find it, but if there is one, it would be a great help to us, and also other WinForms developers.

  • Linq to SQL and concurrency with Rob Conery repository pattern

    - by David Hall
    I have implemented a DAL using Rob Conery's spin on the repository pattern (from the MVC Storefront project) where I map database objects to domain objects using Linq and use Linq to SQL to actually get the data. This is all working wonderfully giving me the full control over the shape of my domain objects that I want, but I have hit a problem with concurrency that I thought I'd ask about here. I have concurrency working but the solution feels like it might be wrong (just one of those gitchy feelings). The basic pattern is: private MyDataContext _datacontext private Table _tasks; public Repository(MyDataContext datacontext) { _dataContext = datacontext; } public void GetTasks() { _tasks = from t in _dataContext.Tasks; return from t in _tasks select new Domain.Task { Name = t.Name, Id = t.TaskId, Description = t.Description }; } public void SaveTask(Domain.Task task) { Task dbTask = null; // Logic for new tasks omitted... dbTask = (from t in _tasks where t.TaskId == task.Id select t).SingleOrDefault(); dbTask.Description = task.Description, dbTask.Name = task.Name, _dataContext.SubmitChanges(); } So with that implementation I've lost concurrency tracking because of the mapping to the domain task. I get it back by storing the private Table which is my datacontext list of tasks at the time of getting the original task. I then update the tasks from this stored Table and save what I've updated This is working - I get change conflict exceptions raised when there are concurrency violations, just as I want. However, it just screams to me that I've missed a trick. Is there a better way of doing this? I've looked at the .Attach method on the datacontext but that appears to require storing the original version in a similar way to what I'm already doing. I also know that I could avoid all this by doing away with the domain objects and letting the Linq to SQL generated objects all the way up my stack - but I dislike that just as much as I dislike the way I'm handling concurrency.

  • TFS and shared projects in multiple solutions

    - by David Stratton
    Our .NET team works on projects for our company that fall into distinct categories. Some are internal web apps, some are external (publicly facing) web apps, we also have internal Windows applications for our corporate office users, and Windows Forms apps for our retail locations (stores). Of course, because we hate code reuse, we have a ton of code that is shared among the different applications. Currently we're using SVN as our source control, and we've got our repository laid out like this: - = folder, | = Visual Studio Solution -SVN - Internet | Ourcompany.com | Oursecondcompany.com - Intranet | UniformOrdering website | MessageCenter website - Shared | ErrorLoggingModule | RegularExpressionGenerator | Anti-Xss | OrgChartModule etc... So.. The OurCompany.com solution in the Internet folder would have a website project, and it would also include the ErrorLoggingModule, RegularExpressionGenerator, and Anti-Xss projects from the shared directory. Similarly, our UniformOrdering website solution would have each of these projects included in the solution as well. We prefer to have a project reference to a .dll reference because, first of all, if we need to add or fix a function in the ErrorLoggingModule while working on the OurCompany.com website, it's right there. Also, this allows us to build each solution and see if changes to shared code break any other applications. This should work well on a build server as well if I'm correct. In SVN, there is no problem with this. SVN and Visual Studio aren't tied together in the way TFS's source control is. We never figured out how to work this type of structure in TFS when we were using it, because in TFS, the TFS project was always tied to a Visual Studio Solution. The Source Code repository was a child of the TFS Project, so if we wanted to do this, we had to duplicate the Shared code in each TFS project's source code repository. As my co-worker put it, this "breaks every known best practice about code reuse and simplicity". It was enough of a deal breaker for us that we switched to SVN. Now, however, we're faced with truly fixing our development processes, and the Application Lifecycle Management of TFS is pretty close to exactly what we want, and how we want to work. Our one sticking point is the shared code issue. We're evaluating other commercial and open source solutions, but since we're already paying for TFS with our MSDN Subscriptions, and TFS is pretty much exactly what we want, we'd REALLY like to find a way around this issue. Has anybody else faced this and come up with a solution? If you've seen an article or posting on this that you can share with me, that would help as well. As always, I'm open to answers like "You're looking at it all wrong, bonehead, HERE'S the way it SHOULD be done.

  • Getting real-time market/stock quotes in C#/Java

    - by David Menard
    Hey, I would like to make an program that acts like a big filter for stocks. To do so, I need to have real-time (or delayed) quotes from the market. I started getting stock quotes by requesting pages from yahoo, accordingand parsing the html to the ticker, and parsing the html. I was wondering how to do this requesting and parsing html. Is there some way I can request only the stock quotes and its info? I know some applications do this, and I am very curious how they do it, because requesting web pages and parsing them is very time-consuming. Thanks, Dave

  • What makes a good software developer? [closed]

    - by David Johnstone
    Previously there have been questions on what makes a good team lead and what makes a good programming team, but I can't find any questions on what makes a good programmer. I believe the answer to this question is especially important in the context of hiring. Hiring the best people you can afford only works when you are able to identify who the best people are. Being able to consistently identify the best people is only possible when you know what makes the best people the best people. The easy answer is "smart and gets things done" (see "Done, and Gets Things Smart" for an interesting response). But surely there is more to being a good software developer than this aphorism. So, what makes a good software developer a good software developer? (Note: For the purposes of this question, I'm not interested in how to actually tell if somebody is a good software developer.)

  • XNA Alpha Blending to make part of a texture transparent

    - by David
    What I am trying to do is use alpha blending in XNA to make part of a drawn texture transparent. So for instance, I clear the screen to some color, lets say Blue. Then I draw a texture that is red. Finally I draw a texture that is just a radial gradient from completely transparent in the center to completely black at the edge. What I want is the Red texture drawn earlier to be transparent in the same places as the radial gradient texture. So you should be able to see the blue back ground through the red texture. I thought that this would work. GraphicsDevice.Clear(Color.CornflowerBlue); spriteBatch.Begin(SpriteBlendMode.None); spriteBatch.Draw(bg, new Vector2(0, 0), Color.White); spriteBatch.End(); spriteBatch.Begin(SpriteBlendMode.None); GraphicsDevice.RenderState.AlphaBlendEnable = true; GraphicsDevice.RenderState.AlphaSourceBlend = Blend.One; GraphicsDevice.RenderState.AlphaDestinationBlend = Blend.Zero; GraphicsDevice.RenderState.SourceBlend = Blend.Zero; GraphicsDevice.RenderState.DestinationBlend = Blend.One; GraphicsDevice.RenderState.BlendFunction = BlendFunction.Add; spriteBatch.Draw(circle, new Vector2(0, 0), Color.White); spriteBatch.End(); GraphicsDevice.RenderState.AlphaBlendEnable = false; But it just seems to ignore all my RenderState settings. I also tried setting the SpriteBlendMode to AlphaBlend. It blends the textures, but that is not the effect I want. Any help would be appreciated.

  • WatiN or Selenium?

    I'm going to start building some automated tests of our presentation soon. It seems that everyone recommends WatiN and Selenium. Which do you prefer for automated testing of ASP.NET web forms? Why did that product work better for you? As a side note, I noticed that WatiN 2.0 has been in CTP since March 2008, is that something to be concerned about?

  • Validation Summary for Lists using Data Annotations with MVC

In summary on validation of my form, I want to display "*" next to each input that is incorrect and also provide a Validation Summary at the bottom that relates each error message to the particular item in the list. e.g. say if validation failed on the 2nd list item on a Name input box and the 4th item on an Address input box the validation summary would display [2] Name is invalid [4] Address is invalid Please ignore if there are mistakes in the code below. I'm just writing this as an example. The code below shows how I was able to do it using my custom version of adding model errors but was wondering how to do this using Data Annotations? //Domain Object public class MyObject { public int ID { get; set; } public string Name { get; set; } public string Address { get; set; } public bool IsValid { get { return (GetRuleViolations().Count() == 0); } } public void IEnumerable<RuleViolation> GetRuleViolations() { if (String.IsNullOrEmpty(Name)) yield return new RuleViolation(ID, "Name", "Name is invalid"); if (String.IsNullOrEmpty(Address)) yield return new RuleViolation(ID, "Address", "Address is invalid"); yield break; } } //Rule Violation public class RuleViolation { public int ID { get; private set; } public string PropertyName { get; private set; } public string ErrorMessage { get; private set; } } //View <% for (int i = 0; i < 5; i++) { %> <p> <%= Html.Hidden("myObjects[" + i + "].ID", i) %> Name: <%= Html.TextBox("myObjects[" + i + "].Name") %> <br /> <%= Html.ValidationMessage("myObjects[" + i + "].Name", "*")<br /> Address: <%= Html.TextBox("myObjects[" + i + "].Address") %> <%= Html.ValidationMessage("myObjects[" + i + "].Address", "*")<br /> </p> <% } %> <p><%= Html.ValidationSummary() %> //Controller public ActionResult MyAction(IList<MyObject> myObjects) { foreach (MyObject o in myObjects) { if (!o.IsValid) ModelState.AddModelErrors(o.GetRuleViolations(), o.GetType().Name); } if (!Model.IsValid) { return View(); } } public static class ModelStateExtensions { public static void AddModelError(this ModelStateDictionary modelState, RuleViolation issue, string name) { string key = String.Format("{0}[{1}].{2}", name, issue.ID, issue.PropertyName); string error = String.Format("[{0}] {1}", (issue.ID + 1), issue.ErrorMessage); //above line determines the [ID] ErrorMessage to be //displayed in the Validation Summary modelState.AddModelError(key, error); }

  • MVC Checkbox List

    - by David in Dakota
    I just wrote perhaps the ugliest bit of MVC code in existence. It is: <table> <tr> <% int i = 0; foreach(Thyla.Models.Tag tag in this.Model) { i += 1; %> <td> <span> <input type="checkbox" name="TagSelector" id='<%= tag.TagName%>' value='<%= tag.TagName%>' /> <label for="<%= tag.TagName%>" title="<%= tag.TagName%>"><%= tag.TagName%></label> </span> </td> <%if (i % 5 == 0){%> </tr><tr> <%} %> <%} %> <% if (i % 5 != 0){%></tr><%} %> </table> What is the canonical approach to making a checkbox list with a specified number of columns in ASP.NET MVC?

  • What do these MS DTC Exceptions mean?

    - by David B
    I wrote a program to demonstrate the behavior of DTC timeouts with multiple threads. I'm getting several exceptions, seemingly at random. Are all of these simple Timeouts, or are some of them indicative of deeper problems (connection pool interactions, etc)? The Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MS DTC) has cancelled the distributed transaction. Distributed transaction completed. Either enlist this session in a new transaction or the NULL transaction. The transaction associated with the current connection has completed but has not been disposed. The transaction must be disposed before the connection can be used to execute SQL statements. The operation is not valid for the state of the transaction. ExecuteReader requires an open and available Connection. The connection's current state is closed. Here's the data part of the code: using (DemoDataDataContext dc1 = new DemoDataDataContext(Conn1)) using (DemoDataDataContext dc2 = new DemoDataDataContext(Conn2)) { WriteMany(dc1, 100); //generate 100 records for insert WriteMany(dc2, 100000); //generate 100,000 records for insert Console.WriteLine("{0} : {1}", Name, " generated records for insert."); using (TransactionScope ts = new TransactionScope()) { dc1.SubmitChanges(); dc2.SubmitChanges(); ts.Complete(); } }
