  • How to edit a table in the email reply (in Gmail)?

    - by imz
I've received an email with an embedded table. I want to put some marks inside that table (i.e., edit the contentof the table) and send it back. Unfortunately, the Gmail interface doesn't seem to have table editing capabilities: after I hit reply, I see the table in the quoted text of the original message, but is not editable... If this is not possible in Gmail, how do I export the HTML source of this messsage and edit in another installed word processor?

  • Broken Motherboard Trace

    - by CoffeeBean
When you're fairly certain that a motherboard trace is broken near the CPU (i.e.: you suspect heatsink / fan was improperly inserted) is it advisable to attempt a repair? I've heard that it can be done using a substance for repairing embedded windshield defoggers. Has anyone had any experience with this?

  • Streaming audio/video in a publicly-hosted server increases bandwith usage

    - by Eka
I have a website hosted in a public server (withoud any streaming content) ,using public hosting instead of private because its cheaper. But in public hosting their are limitations when compared to private hosting such as monthly bandwidth usage (1 GB), disk space, cpu usage etc. I am planning to embedd videos and audios (from other websites like youtube) to my already existing website. My question is if a client streams a embedded video/audio (hosted in another website) from my website any change in bandwidth occurs.

  • A good file management/hosting/storage web service with embed-function?

    - by Andreas
I am looking for a file management web service that lets me integrate the directory-view into a commercial website. Another requirement: User can register themselves, but need to be approved, before being able to download files. So something like box.net, but with more than just a a flash-widget. I would prefer some javascript, that can be embedded. Thanks for any recommendations.

  • Grizzly server - works with IP, but not with domain name

    - by Hitchhiker
I'm hosting a grizzly web service on a Windows 7 Pro machine (embedded in a regular Java process), and it is binding to http://my-domain-name. When trying to hit the service from another machine, requests to http://my-domain-name fail (fiddler shows error code 502), but requests to http://my-ip work. When the service runs on a Windows Server 2008 machine, this doesn't happen (both requests succeed). What could be the issue?

  • Duplication of Architecture State means physically extra?

    - by Doopy Doo
Hyper-Threading Technology makes a single physical processor appear as two logical processors; the physical execution resources are shared and the architecture state is duplicated for the two logical processors. So, this means that there are two sets of basic registers such as Next Instruction Pointer, processor registers like AX, BX, CX etc physically embedded in the micro-processor chip, OR they(arch. state) are made to look two sets by some low level duplication by software/OS.

  • Looking for Mini itx board suitable for hooking up to a television.

    - by Jaxsun
I am building a small computer to hook up to my tv for playing some games and playing media. I would like to find a board with both HDMI and standard RCA hookups that would be powerful enough to play full HD video (if it has an embedded cpu). I came across the VIA VB8003 which seemed to fit my needs but it doesn't seem to be widely available. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

  • Drop caches in Linux

    - by BerserkEVA
I have an embedded Geode-based application server with 512MB RAM and I'm about to try to maximize free memory during applications workload, which uses MySQL database 5.5 with InnoDB quite aggressively. As part of the whole optimization I'd want to introduce echo 1 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches sleep 5 echo 0 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches in crontab. How often is it safe to execute something like this? Any other observation/suggestion is welcome.

  • html5 video and Windows 7N

    - by Tim Brigham
When using Windows 7N and embedded videos for YouTube and the like my users have been getting a black box. I tracked this down to when HTML5 is being used for rendering. Other than putting a bunch of sites in compatibility mode or installing the Windows Media Pack (which resolves this issue) is there another route I can take? My guess is it's only a single registry key or DLL that says 'I'm not HTML5 compatible' but I don't have any idea how to find it.

  • Auto not being recognised by the compiler, what would be the best replacement?

    - by user1719605
    So I have wrote a program that uses auto however the compiler doesn't seem to recognize it, probably it is an earlier compiler. I was wondering for my code, with are suitable variables to fix my code so that I do not need to use the auto keyword? I'm thinking a pointer to a string? or a string iterator, though I am not sure. #include <cstdlib> #include <string> #include <iostream> #include <unistd.h> #include <algorithm> using namespace std; int main(int argc, char* argv[]) { enum MODE { WHOLE, PREFIX, SUFFIX, ANYWHERE, EMBEDDED } mode = WHOLE; bool reverse_match = false; int c; while ((c = getopt(argc, argv, ":wpsaev")) != -1) { switch (c) { case 'w': // pattern matches whole word mode = WHOLE; break; case 'p': // pattern matches prefix mode = PREFIX; break; case 'a': // pattern matches anywhere mode = ANYWHERE; break; case 's': // pattern matches suffix mode = SUFFIX; break; case 'e': // pattern matches anywhere mode = EMBEDDED; break; case 'v': // reverse sense of match reverse_match = true; break; } } argc -= optind; argv += optind; string pattern = argv[0]; string word; int matches = 0; while (cin >> word) { switch (mode) { case WHOLE: if (reverse_match) { if (pattern != word) { matches += 1; cout << word << endl; } } else if (pattern == word) { matches += 1; cout << word << endl; } break; case PREFIX: if (pattern.size() <= word.size()) { auto res = mismatch(pattern.begin(), pattern.end(), word.begin()); if (reverse_match) { if (res.first != word.end()) { matches += 1; cout << word << endl; } } else if (res.first == word.end()) { matches += 1; cout << word << endl; } } break; case ANYWHERE: if (reverse_match) { if (!word.find(pattern) != string::npos) { matches += 1; cout << word << endl; } } else if (word.find(pattern) != string::npos) { matches += 1; cout << word << endl; } break; case SUFFIX: if (pattern.size() <= word.size()) { auto res = mismatch(pattern.rbegin(), pattern.rend(), word.rbegin()); if (reverse_match) { if (res.first != word.rend()) { matches = +1; cout << word << endl; } } else if (res.first == word.rend()) { matches = +1; cout << word << endl; } } break; case EMBEDDED: if (reverse_match) { if (!pattern.find(word) != string::npos) { matches += 1; cout << word << endl;} } else if (pattern.find(word) != string::npos) { matches += 1; cout << word << endl; } break; } } return (matches == 0) ? 1 : 0; } Thanks in advance!

  • Embedding multiple Google Calendars in one frame

    - by cyruskazemi
I have multiple secondary calendars under one account. I would like to be able to embed all of these calendars in the same frame on a web page so that anyone is able to view them. I tried making them all public but have only been able to embed one at a time because each calendar has a different address. Does anyone know if they can all be embedded at the same time?
