  Hello, I am trying to use regular expression to search a document fo a UUID number and replace the end of it with a new number. The code I have so far is: read_file = open('test.txt', 'r+') write_file = open('test.txt', 'w') r = re.compile(r'(self.uid\s*=\s*5EFF837F-EFC2-4c32-A3D4\s*)(\S+)') for l in read_file: m1 = r.match(l) if m1: new=(str,m1.group(2)) new?????? This where I get stuck. The file test.txt has the below UUID stored in it: self.uid = '5EFF837F-EFC2-4c32-A3D4-D15C7F9E1F22' I want to replace the part D15C7F9E1F22. I have also tried this: r = re.compile(r'(self.uid\s*=\s*)(\S+)') for l in fp: m1 = r.match(l) new=map(int,m1.group(2).split("-") new[4]='RHUI5345JO' But I cannot seem to match the string. Thanks in advance for any help.

  I'm looking for a tool to nicely generate single-page PDFs. My needs are: Able to put a PDF/EPS/... as a background Absolute positioning Able to define tables, lists Able to rotate blocks Reasonably easy syntax (will be used to automatically generate many similar looking documents) Easily usable from Python Free or very cheap In essence I'm looking for the tool X that is to OODraw/CorelDraw/... as LaTeX is to OOWrite/MS Word. I've looked at webkit2pdf and a headless OODraw, but both seem a bit of an overkill. XML-FO has some limitations such as not being able to predict how many pages your document spans. Reportlab is pricey. Any ideas? Thanks!

• Display arabic text left to right in pdf using apache fop 0.95

  Hi all. We are generating pdf using apache's xsl fo engine, namely fop 0.95. We have been successful in displaying arabic text from xml to pdf. But there is some problem in the direction of the displayed words. If we have 'sangam' (please assume that 'sangam' is in arabic) in xml, it gets displayed as 'magnas'. Has anyone encountered this before? What could be the solution? For example, I have one node in xml file like this: <empltmoblab>??????</empltmoblab> Now when displayed in pdf, this is displayed like this: ?????? This means I am getting just the reverse. I want it as it is in xml node. Thank you.

BIO *in = NULL, *out = NULL, *tbio = NULL; X509 *scert = NULL; EVP_PKEY *skey = NULL; PKCS7 *p7 = NULL; .......................... .......................... **p7 = PKCS7_sign(scert, skey, NULL, in, flags);** I don't know how can we get digital signature from PKCS7 object to put it into specific variable. • Convert PHP date into javascript date format

  I have a PHP script that outputs an array of data. This is then transformed into JSON using the json_encode() function. My issue is I have a date within my array and its is not in the correct javascript format. How can I convert this within PHP so it is? $newticket['ThreadID'] = $addticket; $newticket['Subject'] = $subject; //$newticket['DateCreated'] = date('d-m-Y G:H'); Instead of the above fo rthe date I need the equivilant of the javascript function new Date() When I output the above I get the following "Fri Jun 01 2012 11:08:48 GMT+0100 (GMT Daylight Time)" However, If I format my PHP date to be the same, javascript rejects it. Confused... Can anyone help?

• Padding a string in Postgresql with rpad without truncating it

  Using Postgresql 8.4, how can I right-pad a string with blanks without truncating it when it's too long? The problem is that rpad truncates the string when it is actually longer than number of characters to pad. Example: SELECT rpad('foo', 5); ==> 'foo ' -- fine SELECT rpad('foo', 2); ==> 'fo' -- not good, I want 'foo' instead. The shortest solution I found doesn't involve rpad at all: SELECT 'foo' || repeat(' ', 5-length('foo')); ==> 'foo ' -- fine SELECT 'foo' || repeat(' ', 2-length('foo')); ==> 'foo' -- fine, too but this looks ugly IMHO. Note that I don't actually select the string 'foo' of course, instead I select from a column: SELECT colname || repeat(' ', 30-length(colname)) FROM mytable WHERE ... Is there a more elegant solution?

  So, I basically would like to test to see if a string contains a range of alphanumeric characters. It's to be used as a client-side validation and I don't want to prevent users from entering whatever they want. Best to give examples of what should/should not pass validation: So to be specific, the expression I'm looking for is to test to make sure string contains anywhere from 3 to 10 alphanumeric characters. I'd like to plug into an ASP.NET client side validator. NOTE: quotes not part of input (but could be!) " f o o " should pass since there are 3 chars "f_0_0" should pass " fo " should not "F......o......o......b.....a......r" should pass thx

When I try to create a trigger using the following: CREATE TRIGGER t_foldersPrivate BEFORE DELETE ON foldersPrivate FOR EACH ROW BEGIN DELETE FROM programs WHERE folderType = '0' AND folderID = OLD.ID; END; I receive the following error: `1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 3` (mysql 5.1.37) If I get rid fo the delete statement the create trigger statement works fine. So I am assuming it must have something to do with that. But for the life of me I'm not sure what...

It must work like this: gem install cmsframework and then: cmsframework the_app After that we have a sceleton of rails app without any controllers etc.. - all controllers loaded from cmsframework gem. If I want to rewrite some files (for example public/styles.css) I must simply create it in my app (the_app). If I want new functions in my app I can create a plugin. But the main functionalities must be loaded from cmsframework gem. What is the best way to implement this?

  My IM stores the logs according to the contact name. I have created a file with the list of active contacts. My problem is following: I would like to create a bash script with read the active contacts names from the file and compare it with the directories. If the directory name wouldn't be found on the list, it would be moved to another directory (let's call it "archive").   First off, the title is very generic because there are just tons of ways of how to possibly solve this. However, I'm looking for a clean and neat way. Situation: I have two equal object files foo.o and foo-pi.o, the latter of which is position-independent (compiled with -fPIC). Both depend on foo.h and bar.h. Problem: How do I, without code duplication, declare dependency of all foo*.o to bar.h? Solutions so far: $(shell bash -c 'echo -ne foo{-pi,}.o'}: bar.h $(addsuffix .o, $(addprefix fo, o-pi o)): bar.h The first solution is not portable on systems that don't support bash, the second is a dirty solution since I could not figure out how to use empty strings in addprefix.

  I have a certificate issued by a CA on our intranet (it's a V3 sha1 pfx file). When I use this in the signing part of my clickonce (vsto addin) project, I get the error: C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v9.0\OfficeTools\Microsoft.VisualStudio.Tools.Office.Office2007.targets(250,9): error MSB3482: An error occurred while signing: Invalid provider type specified.   I've got a project template that works for Visual studio 2008 but when I try to use it for visual studio 2010 I get "...The imported project "C:\program files (x86)\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v9.0\VSSDK\Microsoft.VsSDK.targets" was not found. The only thing I get from that is that it's looking for something in the 2008 SDK (which I have not installed but I would like to port the template to work with the VS 2010 SDK) ANy ideas on what I need to do to get the template working with the 2010 version?

  Hi, I am newbie to VC++, so please forgive me if this is stupid. I have got 7 solutions under one project. Six of these build static libraries which is linked inside 7th to produce an exe. The runtime configuration of all the projects is MultiThreaded Debug. sln which is used to produce exe is using MFC other slns use standard runtiem library. I tried changing those to MFC, but still I am getting the same error. All the six slns build successfully. When I try to build exe - get the follwoing error: nafxcwd.lib(afxmem.obj) : error LNK2005: "void __cdecl operator delete(void *,int,char const *,int)" (??3@YAXPAXHPBDH@Z) already defined in tara_common.lib(fileStream.obj) This is weird because tara_common is one of the libs that I generated and fileStream.cpp is file that is just using delete on a pointer. I built it in verbose mod, so I am attaching the output.   Crystal Report is working fine on local database,but its not working on windows server 2008 when i deployed it on IIS 7. I have run Crystal report run time also.I copied CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.dll, CrystalDecisions.ReportSource.dll and CrystalDecisions.Shared.dll from C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\Common\3.5\managed\dotnet2 into bin folder of my application.Still its not showing anything and not throwing any error also.
