  • Defining InputBindings within a Style

    I'm creating a WPF app using the MVVM design pattern, and I'm trying to extend the TabItem control so that it closes the tab when the user clicks the middle mouse button. I'm trying to achieve this using InputBindings, and it works very well until I try to define it within a style. I've learned that you cannot add InputBindings to a style unless you attach it using a DependencyProperty. So I followed this similar post here... and it works... almost. I can close one tab using the middle mouse button, but it won't work on any of the other tabs (all of the tabs are added at runtime and inherit the same style). So I need some help. Why would this only be working the first time, and not after? Obviously I could create a custom control that inherits from a TabItem and make it work, but I'd like to figure this out as I can see this being expanded in my projects. I'm no expert on DependencyProperties, so please help me out. Thanks!   • IE7 Image float bug.

  • Refactoring method with many conditional return statements

    Hi, I have a method for validation that has many conditional statements. Basically it goes If Check1 = false return false If Check2 = false return false etc FxCop complains that the cyclomatic complexity is too high. I know that it is not best practice to have return statements in the middle of functions, but at the same time the only alternative I see is an ugly list of If-else statements. What is the best way to approach this? Thanks in advance.

  • LyX - breaking long formula lines

    How can I break long formulas in LyX into two (or more) lines? I know how to write several lines of equations in one "math box" but I'm looking for a solution to break lines even in the middle of a parenthesis. I'm using LyX 1.6.4 and currently, when the formula is too big, it doesn't do anything (it just doesn't print the last segment of it, which is "beyond" the page). Is this possible in LyX?

    Hi, I'm using a RichTextBox class to make some automatic text formatting. And mz question is, how do I get the RichTextBox to put some string immediately after the caret. When I use RichTextBox.CaretPosition.InsertTextInRun("some string") the text is inserted after the current logical block, but I need to be insterted immediately after the caret, in the middle of a Run block. I hope it's clear, thx very much.

When the MPMoviePlayerController is fired and the movie starts playing the buttons are behind the video and I cannot click them. I see them but they are not clickable. I think the video window is covering the whole area. How can I solve that?

  • Fixing LOD gaps, T-junctions

    I'm creating a heightmap renderer. One of the examples for solving gaps when doing LOD I found is this: (from Game Programming Gems 2 - Greg Snook - Simplified Terrain using Interlocking Tiles) Wouldn't this still produce a gap, if the three vertices encircled with red were not co-linear? Shouldn't the middle triangle be split into two, as I marked with the orange line? Am I misunderstanding the problem, or is there a mistake in the example?

    I'm at the beginning/middle of a project that we chose to implement using GWT. Has anyone encountered any major pitfalls in using GWT (and GWT-EXT) that were unable to be overcome? How about from a performance perspective?   • Clarification on recaptcha

    Um so I was in for a little bit of a surprise tonight. I spent a good 20 mins trying to figure out why I was able to submit a form knowing that what I entered into the recaptcha field was invalid. Is it true that you don't need to input the exact words it displays? If it shows me two words and I misspelled one of the words, I still pass validation? Same goes if "hello world" and I input "hell man" it still works.
