  I'm reading this article about Comet http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comet_(programming). It mentions that browser should support multipart/x-mixed-replace to make XmlHttpRequest Streaming possible. Why this multipart/x-mixed-replace is necessary? Without this header, HTTP response can still be chunked and sent piece by piece to browser, right?

I can't figure out how to start with a blank formset; the only way seems to be to delete all of the data from the table, but clearly this isn't an option.   I'm trying to create some pages in my Windows Phone application without the use of any XAML. Everything is working, however, I'm failing to use NavigationService/ Journal with this approach and all my attempts to utilize it are answered by the usual "No XAML was found at the location {0}'" response. Yes, I can add an almost empty XAML file to get everything working, but is this kind of boiler plate code really necessary? Is it maybe possible to use the UriMapping to map certain Uris to specific classes instead of *.xaml files?

  i have built jQuery drop-down menu which is having problems floating over the UI header. Flash and everything else is fine, menu has no problem floating over anything except UI headers, i have tried messing with z-index in css files but it seems that jQuery script is over writing all of my css. the JS files are minified so i can not edit them. • PHP curl post to login to wordpress

  I am using php curl to login to wordpress behind-the-scenes as described here: Wordpress autologin using CURL or fsockopen in PHP However my script is not setting the cookies necessary to retain the wordpress session. Instead they are being sent back to my script and stored in cookies.txt. Both the curl script and the wordpress login are on the same server in different directories. Do I need to write another curl script to manually set the wordpress cookies? Is that possible?

  What is the most painful programming mistake you have done and what lesson you have learn after? I guess mine was making a release to production on the development code which was not tested yet. The lesson-learned: Delete any projects that can trigger a release on the live application from CCTray. I only add them when a release to production is necessary since then. And once I am done, I delete them from my project lists.

  in a double-submitted cookie csrf prevention scheme, is it necessary for the server to provide the cookie? it seems i could have javascript on the clients page generate and set a cookie "anti_csrf", then double submit that (once as a cookie, done by the browser, and once in the body of the request). a foreign domain would not be able to read or write the "anti_csrf" cookie to include it in the body of a request. is this secure, or am i overlooking something?

  I'm playing around with URL schemes in my app. I easily made one to open my app, just adding the necessary items to info.plist. This current URL "myappname://" takes the user to the initial view controller, FirstTableViewController, but I was wondering if it would be possible to modify that URL scheme so it I can have one that takes the user to a certain view controller, such as ThirdTableViewController. I would use this as a handy feature in something like Launch Center.

  Suppose I have some code that looks like this: Private Sub MySub() dim blnFlag as Boolean blnFlag = False for each item in collection if item.Name = "Mike" then blnFound = true exit for endif next item End Sub Now - the blnFLag = False assignment is not actually necessary - booleans are initialised as false, but I think it's inclusion makes the code easier to read. What's your opinion?
