    I have two forms. The first form is the mainForm, this never goes anywhere. On opening the second form (saveForm), it will display over the top. When i close this form, I want a certain piece of code in the mainForm to run. I assume this is the correct way to get this to happen? The code on saveForm when I close and return to the mainForm: private void btnSaveDetails_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { Delivery d = new Delivery(txtNameBox.Text, txtAddressBox.Text, txtDayBox.Text, txtTimeBox.Text, txtMealBox.Text, txtInstructionsBox.Text, txtStatusBox.Text); mainForm.myDeliveries.Add(d); this.Close(); } Any ideas?

  • Accessing custom user profile fields in CCK

    I'm probably going about this the wrong way but... I’ve added a field to the User Profile called profile_real_name which is required by the user. Is there a way to access the details in CCK? For example in CCK when creating a new field I can access the user’s username with the ‘User reference’ Field type and setting the ‘Widget type’ to ‘Autocomplete text field’. Can I do the same with my real name field? Many thanks

    I have a table that looks like this: person trip_id date home destination joe 1 3/10 chicago new york joe 2 4/10 chicago l.a. joe 3 5/10 chicago boston luther 4 3/12 new york chicago luther 5 3/18 new york boston I want to get a result like person trips firstDate home joe 3 3/10 chicago luther 2 3/12 new york Currently I've got Select person, count(trip_id) as trips, min(date) as firstDate from [table] group by person order by firstDate I can't figure out how to get home in there as well. Home is always unique to the person. But my DBMS doesn't know that. Is there an easy way around this problem? Appreciate it.

    I am already using output caching in my ASP.NET MVC application. Page speed tells me to specify HTTP cache expiration for css and images in the response header. I know that the Response object contains some properties that control cache expiration. I know that these properties can be used to control HTTP caching for response that I am serving from my code: Response.Expires Response.ExpiresAbsolute Response.CacheControl or alternatively Response.AddHeader("Expires", "Thu, 01 Dec 1994 16:00:00 GMT"); The question is how do I set the Expires header for resources that are served automatically, e.g. images, css and such?

Consider that i have an excel workbook and an access table not necessarily having a similar structure (i.e. They may not have same number of columns) When i open the workbook the rows in the excel sheet get populated by the rows in access table (copied from the access table into the excel sheet's particular range of cells specified using macros). Then i modify certain cells in the excel sheet. I also have a button called "Save" in the excel sheet. When pressed, this will execute a macro. My question how can i update the access table to reflect the changes in the excel sheet when the save button is clicked...? Thanks for your time and suggestions...!

    I'm trying to find a way to handle several bitfield cases that include optional, required, and not allowed positions. yy?nnn?y 11000001 ?yyy?nnn 01110000 nn?yyy?n 00011100 ?nnn?yyy 00000111 In these four cases, the ? indicates that the bit can be either 1 or 0 while y indicates a 1 is required and n indicates that a 0 is required. The bits to the left/right of the required bits can be anything and the remaining bits must be 0. Is there a masking method I can use to test if an input bit set satisfies one of these cases?

So how can i out the constraint (maybe in the django models or wherever possible) that poll and user-id both should not be the same for any entry but like the same user can vote for various different polls once and obviously various users can vote for the same poll.     I'm trying to build an ASP site that populates a Table based on the results of a selection in a ListBox. In order to do this, I've created a GridView table inside a div element. Currently the default behavior is to show all the items in the specified table in sortable order. However, I'd like to refine this further to allow for display of matches based on the results from the ListBox selection, but am not sure how to execute this. The ListBox fires off a OnSelectionChanged event to the method defined below and the GridView element is defined as <asp:GridView ID="dataListings" runat="server" AllowSorting="True" AutoGenerateColumns="False" DataSourceID="LinqDataSource1" OnDataBinding="ListBox1_SelectedIndexChanged"> protected void ListBox1_SelectedIndexChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { int itemSelected = selectTopics.SelectedIndex; string[] listing = null; switch (itemSelected)//assign listing the array of course numbers { case 0: break; case 1: listing = arts; break; case 2: listing = currentEvents; break; ....     I'm currently migrating an application from Linq-to-SQL & ASP.net Web Services (asmx) to Entity Framework and WCF. My question is, I have a bunch of POCO classes which i have xml mapping files for (for the linq to sql) I've replaced my linq to sql with an entity framework data model I've got an interface - something like IService - that has all the methods on it that i need my service to implement - for example: Product[] GetProductsByKeyword(string keyword); In the above case, Product is a POCO. I now have them as entities within my ef data model - i'm using .net 4, and could take advantage of poco support, but don't really see the need - This service is strictly read only. What's the best way of returning entities in my WCF service? I want it to support other client platforms, not just .net (so php guys could use it)

    When I send a 304 response. How will the browser interpret other headers which I send together with the 304? E.g. header("HTTP/1.1 304 Not Modified"); header("Expires: " . gmdate("D, d M Y H:i:s", time() + $offset) . " GMT"); Will this make sure the browser will not send another conditional GET request (nor any request) until $offset time has "run out"? Also, what about other headers? Should I send headers like this together with the 304: header('Content-Type: text/html'); Do I have to send: header("Last-Modified:" . $modified); header('Etag: ' . $etag); To make sure the browser sends a conditional GET request the next time the $offset has "run out" or does it simply save the old Last Modified and Etag values? Are there other things I should be aware about when sending a 304 response header?

  • SQL Query to separate data into two fields

    I have data in one column that I want to separate into two columns. The data is separated by a comma if present. This field can have no data, only one set of data or two sets of data saperated by the comma. Currently I pull the data and save as a comma delimited file then use an FoxPro to load the data into a table then process the data as needed then I re-insert the data back into a different SQL table for my use. I would like to drop the FoxPro portion and have the SQL query saperate the data for me. Below is a sample of what the data looks like. Store Amount Discount 1 5.95 1 5.95 PO^-479^2 1 5.95 PO^-479^2 2 5.95 2 5.95 PO^-479^2 2 5.95 +CA8A09^-240^4,CORDRC^-239^7 3 5.95 3 5.95 +CA8A09^-240^4,CORDRC^-239^7 3 5.95 +CA8A09^-240^4,CORDRC^-239^7 In the data above I want to sum the data in the amount field to get a gross amount. Then pull out the specific discount amount which is located between the carat characters and sum it to get the total discount amount. Then add the two together and get the total net amount. The query I want to write will separate the discount field as needed, see store 2 line 3 for two discounts being applied, then pull out the value between carat characters.
