• Bluetooth device paired and connected (no sound)

  I've got a Bluetooth headset which works great in both Windows 8 and Android 4.2 however on Ubuntu (13.10) it just doesn't seem to work. I installed Blueman, it paired and connected successfully when I tried Audio sink but it still doesn't show up in my Sound Settings nor PulseAudio which I installed and tried. All there is in my Sound Settings is "Analog Output". I tried several fix like changing and adding things in /etc/bluetooth/audio.conf without any success. I've restarted the bluetooth service several times in the process as well. Let me know if you need more information from me and my system. Kind regards, Michael.

  I switched from XNA and C# to LWJGL and Java about 14 months ago. Inherently, this called for a switch in IDE. I started using eclipse because I have also done some basic Android development in the past. I soon switched to Netbeans - Eclipse is just too primitive. After using netbeans for about six months, I've started looking over the fence at Visual Studio 11, toying with Metro apps for windows 8. Now I want to know, is there any known way to use Visual Studio for LWJGL?

  My company has a SharePoint site that is administered by the IT department (versus the Web Developer... go figure!). We have partnered with a vendor that has built a site for our staff to order customized stationery, etc. I need to create a link on the SharePoint site that will take the user to the external site but identify them individually. The vendor is suggesting this format: https://www.VENDORSITE.com/UI/Profile.hcf?id=a02b8106-4115-47cd-bca7-ce4dd447ef89&username=<user name>&password=<password>&name1=<first name>&name2=<last name>&email=<email> Here's the problem: I don't know how to pass that info, or even a single variable, from the SharePoint site to the external site.   I started seriously programming as a hobbiest, student and then intern about 4 years ago and I've always done small projects on the side as a learning exercise. Schools over now though, and I spend my days at work as a software developer. I would still love to do projects on the side to learn about areas in computer science that I'm not exposed to at work, but I've noticed that after 8 hours of starring at an IDE it's far to tempting to veg out. Any time I do get up the gumption to work on something for a few hours lately it's gotten left by the wayside. • SSH not working from outside network

  Ok.. First off my ISP does not block ports. I run web server just fine from another machine. I have port forwarded port 22. I can access within network but not out of.. I.E. my android. I get "The Operation Timed Out" on ConnectBot. Oh and I have allowed 22 on UFW. To answer what exactly happened was my ISP blocks port 22, even though a while back they told me they do not block any ports.. I changed it to port 27 and it worked without a problem.

This leads to classes constantly growing and to severe duplication. I want to add line items to class definitions from which a developer could judge what this class has. Would it help? How to do it in Visual Studio? If it wouldn't help, what would be the better alternative to encourage the developers to check if something exists before implementing it?

  For some reason, the website http://www.woopra.com/ doesn't work well (shows as plain html, no css/images/JS) on my computer and my Android tablet (they both share the same internet connection). It does however, work on my WP 7.5 phone (3G). When I try to set a wifi hotspot and use the tablet it still doesn't work (tried to clean cache). I tried FF, Chrome and IE (multiple versions). What is going on here? I'm clueless! Thanks.

  Should you demand twice as much money if the job's asking for two different sets of skills such as graphic design and computer programming? Sure you won't be doing 16 hours of work a day, but we all know that so much of the time is spent on communication between designers and developers, and if the designer and the developer is the same person, it would take way less time, and hence I think the pay should be doubled. If not double, how much more should you ask for? How much are employers usually willing to pay for such a polymath position? If you are hiring, would you prefer one polymath person or two specialists at the same cost?

But what I really want is to spend less time on actual coding, without losing control of the code quality. What I want to do is that I will design all the functions of the project in CakePHP, at least all the model's functions, and leave the implementation part to the coder who I am going to hire. But my worry is still if I am going to lose control of the code quality using this approach? is it feasible to do so or it is going to turn this project to a chaos.
