  • Get/save parameters to an expected JMock method call?

    Hi, I want to test an "Adapter" object that when it receives an xml message, it digest it to a Message object, puts message ID + CorrelationID both with timestamps and forwards it to a Client object.=20 A message can be correlated to a previous one (e.g. m2.correlationID =3D m1.ID). I mock the Client, and check that Adapter successfully calls "client.forwardMessage(m)" twice with first message with null correlationID, and a second with a not-null correlationID. However, I would like to precisely test that the correlationIDs are set correctly, by grabing the IDs (e.g. m1.ID). But I couldn't find anyway to do so. There is a jira about adding the feature, but no one commented and it is unassigned. Is this really unimplemented? I read about the alternative of redesigning the Adapter to use an IdGenerator object, which I can stub, but I think there will be too many objects.=20 Don't you think it adds unnecessary complexity to split objects to a so fine granularity?     Possible Duplicate: How do I install extra drivers? Additional Drivers tool in Ubuntu 12.10? I have read here and here that I should be able to install drivers. So I'm finding the Additional Drivers menu. To install nVidia driver. I started looking for System -> Administration and not finding it. I have an icon that says System Settings and it has any option related to drivers. NOTE: I am using Ubuntu 12.10.

  • Cascading Dropdown Listboxes with Selenium

    I am having great difficultly testing cascading dropdown boxes with Selenium. I would like to know what the standard approach is for this. I'm a bit unclear as to which commands to use i.e. ClickAndWait, WaitForTextPresent etc. It seems a little bit of a hack to try and get this to work. Has anyone got selenium to correctly test this out? An example scenario would be to have 3 listboxes which have Car Make, Model and Colour. Each one is populated in turn by the other. Selenium needs to somehow wait for the next listbox to populate before preceeding with the test.

  • Is it possible to use Django's testing framework without having CREATE DATABASE rights?

    Since I don't have a hundred bazillion dollars, my Django app lives on a shared host, where all kinds of crazy rules are in effect. Fortunately, they gave me shell access, which has allowed me to kick butts and take names. However I can't do anything about not having CREATE DATABASE rights. I'm using postgresql and have a killer test suite, but am unable to run it due to the code not being able to create a new database. However I am able to create said database beforehand via cPanel and use it with Django. I just don't have CREATE DATABASE rights. Is there a way I can still run my test suite?

    My data grid successfully filters when I select a month from a dropdown list, however when I try to filter it onLoad it just doesn't filter.     Would you recommend to install libcupsys2_1.3.9-17ubuntu3.9_all.deb in Ubuntu 10.10? For getting my printer to work with Ubuntu 10.10 i've read many threads about a suggested workaround. there it's suggested to install libcupsys2_1.3.9-17ubuntu3.9_all.deb so that the canon driver should again do it's work with ubuntu. But i can't figure out what this package exactly is and like to understand what i do before i install it. in some thread they call it a dummy package, in others it's called a transitional package. However there should have been a reason why the ubuntu developers had deprecated libcupsys. So would you recommend it?

  • Ubuntu 12.04 Responsiveness Extremely Slow on Nvidia 8800?

    Just installed 12.04... This is the first time I run Ubuntu with the Unity UI, not a pleasant experience. The responsiveness is extremely slow (10s after a mouseclick), the screen flickers, etc, all right after logging in. Switching the display driver from Nvidia current to post-release doesn't help at all. What now? Can't go back, but Ubuntu is useless to me right now. What can I do? (The system is a Intel 4x2.4Ghz with 4Gb RAM and a Nvidia 8800.)

  • How do I turn off the laptop screen while using an external monitor?

    When I close my laptop lid, all my screens are turned off (my laptop screen and my LG M237WA monitor). I'd like to know how do I make it turn off only the laptop screen and keep the monitor on (I want that behaviour for when I want to watch a movie on my monitor and don't want any brightness coming for the laptop screen). I'm using a HP Pavilion dv4-1290br, which comes with a nVidia GeForce 8400M GTS. I'm using the nVidia driver and it's working perfectly. For my X settings, I'm using TwinView, my laptop is set to 1280x800 and my monitor to 1920x1080. I hope you guys can help me, for I couldn't find anything so far. Thank you very much.

    I know MD5's safety is under question lately and this is the reason a lot of people are using salt (I dont understand this at all btw) but I was wondering if you wanted to easily implement a safe system in php can you just md5 something twice? like test 098f6bcd4621d373cade4e832627b4f6 fb469d7ef430b0baf0cab6c436e70375 So basically: $val = 'test'; $val = md5($val); $val = md5($val); Would that solve the whole rainbow security stuff? Is there an easy/noob proof way of making secure database passwords in php?

    Attempting to implement a poor man's test of whether a process is still running or not (essentially an equivalent of the trivial kill(pid, 0).) Hoped to be able to simply call OpenProcess with some minimal desired access then test for either GetLastError() == ERROR_INVALID_PARAMETER or GetExitCodeProcess(...) != STILL_ACTIVE. Nice try... Running on Windows XP, as administrator: HANDLE hProc = OpenProcess(PROCESS_QUERY_INFORMATION, FALSE, pid); if (!hProc) { DWORD dwLastError = GetLastError(); } ...fails miserably with dwLastError == ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED when pid is owned by a different (not SYSTEM) user. Moreover, if pid was originally owned by a different user but has since terminated, OpenProcess also fails with ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED (not ERROR_INVALID_PARAMETER.)   • Why is using an external USB drive or USB printer causing my system to hang?

    I am having some troubles using various external hard drives and my printer, all of which I connect using USB. The majority of the time, when I connect either of these devices, my system freezes up completely after about 10 minutes. They work just fine prior to that moment. I've also not noticed any problems using a USB mouse. I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 and have tried using a newer kernel (a 2.6.36 Maverick kernel from the kernel ppa, as opposed to the default 2.6.35 one) to no avail. I'm using a Dell Studio XPS 16 (M1647) which is a sort of newish laptop and so my guess is this is probably some kind of driver bug. Is there anyway to debug these sorts of issues? I've looked through some of my logs (/var/log/messages seemed the most useful) but haven't been able to find any kind of USB related logging nor anything interesting happening prior to the hang.

    I find ubuntu extremely unstable with mouse freezes (that can be corrected with control key), constant Compiz crashes ( with ATI non proprietary drivers also), problems installing drivers ( why would I want a video driver that fails to play most games, with loss of function of so many games (BZ flag?? has been around for years with no problems). I get the feeling that there is so one in your dept who is intentionally making poor and unstable choices for less than altruistic reasons. Whatever happened has been worsening ever since Unity became a choice. I have tried Kubuntu, Mint, Lubuntu and several other variants with similar poor results. Be aware I have used Ubuntu for many years.

    I am mocking a repository that should have 1 entity in it for the test scenario. The repository has to return this entity based on a known id and return nothing when other ids are passed in. I have tried doing something like this: _myRepository.Expect(item => item.Find(knownId)).Return(knownEntity); _myRepository.Expect(item => item.Find(Arg<Guid>.Is.Anything)).Return(null); It seems however the second line is overriding the first and the repository always returns null. I don't want to mock all the different possible IDs asked (they could go up to hundreds) when the test scenario is only concerned with the value of one Id.

    I am trying to create a database deadlock and I am using JUnit. I have two concurrent tests running which are both updating the same row in a table over and over again in a loop. My idea is that you update say row A in Table A and then row B in Table B over and over again in one test. Then at the same time you update row B table B and then row A Table A over and over again. From my understanding this should eventually result in a deadlock.   • Install/Downgrade kernel to v3.5.5 on Ubuntu 13.04

    I've been looking around the internet for a solution to downgrade the kernel from 3.8 to 3.5.5 since I've got the AMD/Ati Radeon Mobility HD 5600 graphic card on my machine. This video card in unfortunately not supported by the 3.8 kernel. And then when I've downgraded the kernel I need to install a version 12.* of the AMD Catalyst driver. There is too much in stake to wipe out the current installation of the OS and install an older OS. So I would like to avoid doing that to the ends of the world.     This is what I am trying to do. I downloaded the latest driver for my VGA from http://www.nvidia.com. The installation needs the X11 to be shut down, so I log out of my account, then press CTRL+ALT+F1, then log in with my username and passowrd, then run the command sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-285.05.09.run in every possible way, I have even tried CHMODing the package with 777 permissions, but still I'm getting the sh: can't open NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-285.05.09.run error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Outlook AppointmentItem - How do I programmatically add RTF to its Body?

    I would like to set the Body of an AppointmentItem to a string of RTF that contains an embedded image. Setting Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.AppointmentItem.Body results in the RTF appearing as-is in the appointment. I have tried using Redemption which wraps the appointment and exposes an RTFBody property, but the RTF formatting (including the image) is lost. In this example (which doesn't have an embedded image) the RTF appears in the document as-is.
