    I like the way Doxygen combines with Graphviz dot to generate function caller graphs. I'd like this functionality for other languages as well, apart from the basics that Doxygen supports (C++, C, Java, Objective-C, Python, VHDL, PHP, C#). I'm currently interested in JavaScript, ActionScript 2 and ActionScript 3/Flex but am looking for ways or tools that have a wider language support than Doxygen. Is there any way to get function caller graphs for any other languages?

    Though I come from a purely PHP background on the web development side of programming, I have also spent much time with C# and C++ on the desktop. I don't really want to spark any flame wars, but: When should you use scripting languages over compiled languages for website development? (and vice versa) Just to clarify, for the sake of this question, I define a "scripting language" to mean an interpreted language like PHP, Python, or Ruby, and a "compiled language" to mean a strongly typed, compiled language like C#, C++, Java, or VB.

    Is there an existing good example, or how should one approach creating a basic Template system (thinking MVC) that supports "Template Inheritance" in PHP5? For an example of what I define as Template Inheritance, refer to the Django (a Python framework for web development) Templates documentation: http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/topics/templates/#id1 I especially like the idea of PHP itself being the "template language", though it's not necessarily a requirement.     Hi All, ran into an issue, we are using webforms with a site with this dir structure: root: / secure : /securepages/ we only want users who are logged in to access /securepages/. currently we are using the login control, 3.5, forms auth, all is working ok but know we have thrown assl cert into the mix and the issue is that the login control is requesting WebResource.axd?d=XukT0PE1PS-iOKw3RT8Z6g2&t=633834231612265882 from the non secure url e.g. ht tp://www.mysite.com/WebResource.axd?d=XukT0PE1PS-iOKw3RT8Z6g2&t=633834231612265882 . This causes the browser to prompt the user to download unsecure content. I am using some redirecting in the global.asax to handle redirection to https://xx xxxlogin.aspx if login.aspx it requested from http://. thanks

  • Wordpress Digg-Like Voting System Plugin

    I just found out about BuddyPress (a collection of plugins that convert a WordPress MU install into a social network) and now I was wondering if there are any Digg-like voting plugins for WordPress. This would eventually integrate into a BuddyPress website, where the site members would submit, vote and comment on stories (much like Digg). I have a feeling I will end up having to build this from scratch, but since the site will be built on WordPress, I was wondering if there were any plugins already available that add this functionality. So far I have come up empty in my search. I did find a Wordpress blog that had this functionality WpVote. It even creates thumbnails of the story webpage automatically (I'm assuming) using websnapr. I browsed through the page source and didn't seem to find any hints of a WP plugin that they are using.

I am just wondering if anyone knows of any strongly typed scripting languages. And by scripting, I mean a language whose interpreter can be embedded in a C++ application.

    Hi, I am passing the email address as part of the url, for ex. http://example.com/hello/[email protected] but, when being passed to the application controller it is changed to " user%40hotmail.com ". I can't seem to understand this special character escaping; confusion. please help me explain the problem here, and also what can I do to fix it. I am using python's "webapp" web application framework.

  • Open Id XRDS Discovery

    I am working with Open Id, just playing around making a class to interact / auth Open Id's on my site (in PHP). I know there are a few other Libraries (like RPX), but I want to use my own (its good to keep help better understand the protocol and whether its right for me). The question I have relates to the Open Id discovery sequence. Basically I have reached the point where I am looking at using the XRDS doc to get the local identity (openid.identity) from the claimed identity (openid.claimed_id). My question is, do I have to make a cURL request to get the XRDS Location (X-XRDS-location) and then make another cURL request to get the actual XRDS doc?? It seems like with a DUMB request I only make one cURL request and get the Open Id Server, but have to make two to use the XRDS Smart method. Just doesn't seem right, can anyone else give me some info.

I want to run scripts from the Linux or Mac OS X command line, much like we run any other scripting language (ruby, php, perl, python...) $ javascript my_javascript_code.js I looked into spider monkey (Mozilla) and v8 (Google), but both of these appear to be embedded. Is anyone using Javascript as a scripting language to be executed from the command line? If anyone is curious why I am looking into this, I've been poking around node.js

But Javascript: 5799218898 13 | 100010100100001110011111100001 13 183624 | 101100110101001000 I think it because of internal integer representation in javascript, but cannot find anything about that.
