• jsf submit button not wrking

  I am using hx:commandExButton of IBM Faces Client Framework to call my method. But the method is not getting called. But if I use immediate="true" it's getting called. But as you all know with this my model won't get updated, so it has no use to me. Has anyone faced this? • hyperLink on jsf error messages problem

  I am trying to put link in the error messages produced by JSF. For this I am using the custom renderer, it works(clicking the error, focuses the respective input field) but the problem is , all the form values gets empty. ie when error occurs, all the input fields get empty. • AppleScript to open URL in Safari crashes for Flash-based websites

  I'm trying to open a URL in Safari. It works fine for websites without Flash embedded, but crashes Safari for Flash sites. Example (this WORKS): tell application "Safari" to open location "http://google.com" This CRASHES when Safari is not already running: tell application "Safari" to open location "http://grooveshark.com" Two things I noticed: Safari only crashes for websites with embedded Flash The script above only crashes if a new instance of Safari is created (i.e. Safari was not running before) From the second observation I assume that it could be a permission issue of some sort. Maybe the Safari instance launched from the AppleScript has a problem loading plugins?

For example i want to save each parameter into a String array. • Hiding iPhone Status Bar pulls my tableViews up by 20px

  When doing an asynchronous HTTP request, I hide the iPhone status bar and animate in my own custom UIViewController to show upload status. So instead of seeing signal strength, carrier, time and battery life, the user gets messages based on the progress of the HTTP request. My status bar is exactly 20px high, and fits nicely where the status bar used to be. When the HTTP activity is done, the custom view animates out and the iPhone status bar animates back in. I would like to just avoid hiding the iPhone status bar completely, and instead bring my custom view ON TOP of the status bar. Currently, if I invoke my custom view animation and keep the iPhone status bar set to visible, my custom view is behind it. • 100% width bg images not extending on horizontal scroll

  I'm noticing this issue. I made a quick screen capture to demonstrate: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/904456/2010-06-14_2323.swf Basically when you have a min-width set and the viewport goes under that constraint, a horizontal scroll bar appears. Pretty much what you would expect, but when you scroll over horizontally all elements that are suppose to extend across the entire width of the page and have background images/colors different from the body do not extend. If you resize the viewport it seems to catch up. Is this a known issue? You can see it on a lot of sites, http://gowalla.com for example. Any ideas?

  How can I create a routing structure for a project management application where there are discrete controllers for all the relevant pieces such as TaskController, DocumentController etc and an Over arching controller. I would essentially like a structure like: http://server/Project/123/Task http://server/Project/123/Document I am using mvc1 so I have no access to areas etc. The project section will have a separate master page for project controllers such as task, document etc with a dfferent menu navigaton.   I have a drupal page (content type page) that should accept GET values using clean urls. I put the following code in the page body using the php code input format. <?php $uid = $_GET['uid']; $user = user_load($uid); print $user->name; ?> Now the following link http://www.example.com/mypath/?uid=5 results in user 5's name being displayed. Great. My question is: Can this be accomplished using clean urls such that going to http://www.example.com/mypath/5 has the same result? (Similar to using arguments in views)

  I am using an example from iDesign about one way calls. I can get it to work on a Vista machine (VS2008) but not on a windows 7 machine (VS2010). I get this error: HTTP could not register URL http://+:8001/MyService/. Your process does not have access rights to this namespace ServiceHost host = new ServiceHost(typeof(MyService)); host.Open(); I get the error on the host.Open(); line. I noticed that windows asks first for some firewall and to give permission which I did but still it is not working. What can I do?

• 'template' .SWF that uses other .swf's and .jpg's in it (by xml generated in .php) works only locall

  My problem is that a .swf I would like to put on my website works only when requested locally. When requested from my home web server or company web server it doesn't work. I believe all files are in the proper folders and all links are well, otherwise it wouldn't work locally. Now, the SWF I place on the html page has several shapes, fonts, texts, buttons, scripts and frames. The scripts are in v1.0 and descrive how the SWF should behave. The SWF uses 2 different JPG's and 3 different SWF's. It also has a .php file with xml in it which tells the main SWF which JPG's and SWF's to use and where to find them. The main script in the main SWF also links to this .php file. So everything works properly when opening the SWF locally in IE like U:\common\templates\dynamic.swf Everythins shows perfectly. When requesting exactly the same file, but with a domain (as I can access the web server folder like a local drive) only the main .swf shows which is black with some test forms etc in it. PHP is enabled on the server. It's easier to change the php and put new files on the server than build a new flash file everytime etc and it's quite difficult to built some functionality in one swf when using other swf files. What could be the problem here that it works well when incurred locally but not from a server (using the domain etc) Any help is much appreciated. Thanks! EDIT: When I open the .swf in firefox by using the direct link to the .swf, the status bars hangs on 'Waiting for www.domain.com... (domain = mydomain) Maybe this is of any help?

• Why is my masm32 program crashing whenever I try using interrupts?

This is the interrupt I'm trying to use. It should simply exit the program. Others I've tried include character input/output, etc.. Nothing works. I'm on windows 7, using masm32 with the WinAsm IDE. There are so many cool things it seems I should be able to do with interrupts... however, it crashes whenever I try to use an interrupt - always the same way. • Thoughts on moving to Maven in an enterprise environment

  I'm interested in hearing from those who either A) use Maven in an enterprise environment or B) tried to use Maven in an enterprise environment. I work for a large company that is contemplating bringing in Maven into our environment. Currently we use OpenMake to build/merge and home-grown software to deploy code to 100+ servers running various platforms (eg. WAS and JBoss). OpenMake works fine for us however Maven does have some ideal features, most importantly being dependency management, but is it viable in a large environment? Also what headaches have/did you incur, if any, in maintaining a Maven environment.   So I'm using a basic formmail script. Within the script I'm using a redirect variable. The value of the redirect is something like,"http://www.mysite.com/NewOLS_GCUK_EN/bling.aspx?BC=GCUK&IBC=CSEE&SIBC=CSEE" When the redirect action happens however, the url appears in the browser as: http://www.mysite.com/NewOLS_GCUK_EN/bling.aspx?BC=GCUK&amp;IBC=CSEE&amp;SIBC=CSEE you can see the &'s are replaced with "& a m p ;" is there any way to fix this? • Unicode characters in URLs

  In 2010, would you serve URLs containing UTF-8 characters in a large web portal? Unicode characters are forbidden as per the RFC on URLs (see here). They would have to be percent encoded to be standards compliant. My main point, though, is serving the unencoded characters for the sole purpose of having nice-looking URLs, so percent encoding is out. All major browsers seem to be parsing those URLs okay no matter what the RFC says. My general impression, though, is that it gets very shaky when leaving the domain of web browsers: URLs getting copy+pasted into text files, E-Mails, even Web sites with a different encoding HTTP Client libraries Exotic browsers, RSS readers Is my impression correct that trouble is to be expected here, and thus it's not a practical solution (yet) if you're serving a non-technical audience and it's important that all your links work properly even if quoted and passed on? Is there some magic way of serving nice-looking URLs in HTML http://www.example.com/düsseldorf?neighbourhood=Lörick that can be copy+pasted with the special characters intact, but work correctly when re-used in older clients?
