  • "No such file or directory"?

    - by user1509541
Ok, so I have a VDS laying around, and I thought I would turn it into a TF2 game server. When I connect to my server through PuTTY, and use wget to download the package "hldsupdatetool.bin" from Steampowered.com. I go to run it and it says "No such file or directory found". When I use "ls" to see what files are in directory, it lists "hldsupdatetool.bin" as being in the directory. So, why is it saying it's not there? This has been a headache for the past 2 days. It's returning: root@10004:~# wget http://www.steampowered.com/download/hldsupdatetool.bin --2012-07-08 06:04:49-- http://www.steampowered.com/download/hldsupdatetool.bin Resolving www.steampowered.com... 208.64.202.68 Connecting to www.steampowered.com|208.64.202.68|:80... connected. • 'No such file or directory' error in bash, but the file exists?

    On Ubuntu, I get a 'No such file or directory' error when I try to execute a command. I have checked with 'ls -la' , the file 'adb' is there and it has 'x' flag So why I am getting a 'No such file or directory'? ~/Programs/android-sdk-linux_x86/platform-tools$ ./adb bash: ./adb: No such file or directory ~/Programs/android-sdk-linux_x86/platform-tools$ ls -la total 34120 drwxrwxr-x 3 silverstri silverstri 4096 2011-10-08 18:50 . drwxrwxr-x 8 silverstri silverstri 4096 2011-10-08 18:51 .. -rwxrwxr-x 1 silverstri silverstri 3764858 2011-10-08 18:50 aapt -rwxrwxr-x 1 silverstri silverstri 366661 2011-10-08 18:50 adb -rwxrwxr-x 1 silverstri silverstri 906346 2011-10-08 18:50 aidl -rwxrwxr-x 1 silverstri silverstri 328445 2011-10-08 18:50 dexdump -rwxrwxr-x 1 silverstri silverstri 2603 2011-10-08 18:50 dx drwxrwxr-x 2 silverstri silverstri 4096 2011-10-08 18:50 lib -rwxrwxr-x 1 silverstri silverstri 14269620 2011-10-08 18:50 llvm-rs-cc -rwxrwxr-x 1 silverstri silverstri 14929076 2011-10-08 18:50 llvm-rs-cc-2 -rw-rw-r-- 1 silverstri silverstri 241 2011-10-08 18:50 llvm-rs-cc.txt -rw-rw-r-- 1 silverstri silverstri 332494 2011-10-08 18:50 NOTICE.txt -rw-rw-r-- 1 silverstri silverstri 291 2011-10-08 18:50 source.properties

  • Show symbolic links AND their targets in web directory listing (apache)

    - by Erwan Queffélec
Listing a directory content with ls -l shows this output: total 12 drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Dec 11 16:38 2.3 drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 4096 Dec 11 16:38 2.4 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Dec 11 16:38 archive lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Dec 11 16:38 current -> 2.4/2.4.1/ lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Dec 11 16:38 next -> 2.4/2.4.2/ lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Dec 11 16:38 previous -> 2.4/2.4.0/ Notice how it shows the symbolic links and their respective targets. I need to know if there is a way of getting the same behaviour in apache directory browsing. If apache is not capable of it as I suspect, is there an application (FLOSS) providing that kind of behaviour ?

  • vsftpd per group configuration

    - by roqs
I want to configure a vsftpd in a per group fashion instead of per user configuration. It's possible? Suppose i have two groups: groupA and groupB, so my goal is: users in groupA have permission (wrx) to all files in directory dir1 users in groupB have permission (wrx) to all files in directory dir2 users of the system have permission (wrx) to all files in directory dir3 For example: ftp@test:/home/ftp# ls -l drwxrwxr-x 16 root groupA 4096 Jun 3 10:45 dir1 drwxrwxr-x 2 root groupB 4096 Jun 3 10:56 dir2 drwxrwxr-x 8 root users 4096 Jun 3 11:01 dir3 How to do that with vsftpd?

  • updatedb & locate command problem - Files from external hard drive are no longer indexed after rebooting

    - by user784637
Files from my external hard drive are no longer indexed after rebooting. I have to remount and then run # updatedb after each reboot. The problem is updatedb takes a few minutes for my external hard drives. Is there any way I can retain indexing for my externals after I reboot so that the locate command can search through my externals? • format/build raid 5 with one 4k drive, three 512b

    - by skidawgz
I have 4 WD 1TB drives which I want to 4x1TB Raid5. I am not sure what course of action to take next. How do I configure my 4th drive (sde) to align with the rest? Will this affect performance? I rcv this msg (which brings me here to ask these question): The device presents a logical sector size that is smaller than the physical sector size. Aligning to a physical sector (or optimal I/O) size boundary is recommended, or performance may be impacted. fdisk -l shows: Disk /dev/sdb: 1000.2 GB, 1000204886016 bytes 81 heads, 63 sectors/track, 382818 cylinders, total 1953525168 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Disk identifier: 0xf324ba09 Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sdb1 2048 1953525167 976761560 fd Linux raid autodetect Disk /dev/sdc: 1000.2 GB, 1000204886016 bytes 81 heads, 63 sectors/track, 382818 cylinders, total 1953525168 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Disk identifier: 0x38bcc1f0 Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sdc1 2048 1953525167 976761560 fd Linux raid autodetect Disk /dev/sdd: 1000.2 GB, 1000204886016 bytes 81 heads, 63 sectors/track, 382818 cylinders, total 1953525168 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Disk identifier: 0x570f77e7 Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sdd1 2048 1953525167 976761560 fd Linux raid autodetect Disk /dev/sde: 1000.2 GB, 1000204886016 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 121601 cylinders, total 1953525168 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 4096 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 4096 bytes / 4096 bytes Disk identifier: 0xeb665e7b Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System

  • I can't install Ubuntu on my Dell Inspiron 15R at all

    - by Kieran Rimmer
I'm attempting to install Ubuntu 12.04LTS, 64 bit onto a Dell Inspiron 15R laptop. I've shrunk down one of the windows partitions and even used gparted to format the vacant space as ext4. However, the install disk simply does not present any options when it comes to the partitioning step. What I get is a non-responsive blank table As well as the above, I've changed the BIOS settings so that USB emulation is disabled (as per Can't install on Dell Inspiron 15R), and changed the SATA Operation setting to all three possible options. Anyway, the install CD will bring up the trial version of ubuntu, and if I open terminal and type sudo fdisk -l, I get this: Disk /dev/sda: 1000.2 GB, 1000204886016 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 121601 cylinders, total 1953525168 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 4096 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 4096 bytes / 4096 bytes Disk identifier: 0xb4fd9215 Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 63 80324 40131 de Dell Utility Partition 1 does not start on physical sector boundary. /dev/sda2 * 81920 29044735 14481408 7 HPFS/NTFS/exFAT /dev/sda3 29044736 1005142015 488048640 7 HPFS/NTFS/exFAT /dev/sda4 1005154920 1953520064 474182572+ 83 Linux Disk /dev/sdb: 32.0 GB, 32017047552 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 3892 cylinders, total 62533296 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Disk identifier: 0xb4fd923d Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sdb1 2048 16775167 8386560 84 OS/2 hidden C: drive If I type 'sudo parted -l', I get: Model: ATA WDC WD10JPVT-75A (scsi) Disk /dev/sda: 1000GB Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/4096B Partition Table: msdos Number Start End Size Type File system Flags 1 32.3kB 41.1MB 41.1MB primary fat16 diag 2 41.9MB 14.9GB 14.8GB primary ntfs boot 3 14.9GB 515GB 500GB primary ntfs 4 515GB 1000GB 486GB primary ext4 Model: ATA SAMSUNG SSD PM83 (scsi) Disk /dev/sdb: 32.0GB Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B Partition Table: msdos Number Start End Size Type File system Flags 1 1049kB 8589MB 8588MB primary Warning: Unable to open /dev/sr0 read-write (Read-only file system). /dev/sr0 has been opened read-only. • OSB and Ubuntu 10.04 - Too Many Open Files

    - by jeff.x.davies
When installing the latest Oracle Service Bus (11gR1PS3) onto my Ubuntu 10.04 system, the Eclipse IDE was complaining about there being too many open files. The Oracle Service Bus and the Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse (aka OEPE) do make use of ALOT of files. By default, Ubuntu will restrict each user to 1024 open files. A much more realistic number for OSB development is 4096. Changing the file limit in Ubuntu is fairly simple (if arcane). You will need to modify two different files and then restart your server. First, you need to modify the limits.conf file as the root user. Open a terminal window and enter the following command: sudo gedit /etc/security/limits.conf Add the following 2 lines to the file. The asterisk simply means that the rule will apply to all users. * soft nofile 4096 * hard nofile 4096 Save your changes and close gedit. The second file to change is the common-session file. Use the following command: sudo gedit /etc/pam.d/common-session Add the following line: session required pam_limits.so Save the file and exit gedit. Restart your machine. You shouldn't have any more problems with too many open files anymore.

  • Galaxy Note II MTP on Ubuntu 12.04

I bought a branding new Galaxy Note II and I tried to mount its storage to my ubuntu laptop. As you know, Android 4.0+ uses MTP by default. Android 4.1 doesn't support USB Mass Storage anymore! • Samba new file ownership, permissions configuration

    - by Martin Melka
I have recently installed Samba on my server. Now I have a question about permissions and how to set it up. Currently I mount the Samba shared drive to my laptop with this line in /etc/fstab: //<host>/share /mnt/melka-server-data/ cifs username=<usrname> password=<passwd> _netdev 0 0 This works, as I can read from the files and create them (as root). The problem is when I want to create files as a regular user. I always get a Permission Denied error. These are ll outputs of the mounted folder: magicmaster@magicmaster-kubuntu:/mnt$ ll total 8 drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 lis 11 14:15 ./ drwxr-xr-x 26 root root 4096 ríj 26 11:01 ../ drwxrwxrwx 8 magicmaster magicmaster 0 lis 12 22:12 melka-server-data/ and the inside: magicmaster@magicmaster-kubuntu:/mnt/melka-server-data$ ll total 4 drwxrwxrwx 8 magicmaster magicmaster 0 lis 12 22:12 ./ drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 lis 11 14:15 ../ drwxrwxrwx 5 magicmaster magicmaster 0 lis 12 09:35 downloads/ drwxrwxrwx 2 magicmaster magicmaster 0 ríj 28 12:57 lost+found/ drwxrwxrwx 15 magicmaster magicmaster 0 lis 12 09:45 movies/ drwxrwxrwx 2 magicmaster magicmaster 0 lis 1 21:15 newest/ drwxrwxrwx 3 magicmaster magicmaster 0 lis 2 23:14 photos/ drwxrwxrwx 2 magicmaster magicmaster 0 ríj 30 12:44 software/ -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody nogroup 0 lis 12 22:12 zdar I called sudo chown -R magicmaster:magicmaster melka-server-data/ to try and change all the files to belong to me. Then the file zdar was created by magicmaster just by calling touch. I got the Permission Denied, but it was still created, though it belongs to nobody and I can't write into it. When I create a file as root, it still belongs to nobody, but at least I can write into it. What am I missing? I didn't notice anything in Samba config that would be related to this and I don't like the idea of having to log on as root in order to copy files.. Thanks

Here is sudo fdisk -l result Disk /dev/sda: 750.2 GB, 750156374016 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 91201 cylinders, total 1465149168 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 4096 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 4096 bytes / 4096 bytes Disk identifier: 0xaa9693fe Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 2048 52430847 26214400 1c Hidden W95 FAT32 (LBA) /dev/sda2 * 52430848 540677076 244123114+ 7 HPFS/NTFS/exFAT /dev/sda3 540678142 1465147391 462234625 5 Extended Partition 3 does not start on physical sector boundary. /dev/sda5 1452750848 1465147391 6198272 82 Linux swap / Solaris /dev/sda6 1440352256 1452742655 6195200 82 Linux swap / Solaris /dev/sda7 540678144 1427951615 443636736 83 Linux /dev/sda8 1427953664 1440339967 6193152 82 Linux swap / Solaris So Swaps in /dev/sda5 and /dev/sda6 are no longer in use as far as I understand and thus I was planning to delete them, however faced a problem. What I did is download and burn Gparted Live CD and boot it up, tried to delete those partitions but I have no idea how to add 12GB unallocated memory to the existing OS partition in this case to /dev/sda7 Is there anyway I can delete 2 swaps and extend unallocated memory to /dev/sda7 partion? Thank you in advance!

  • Grub does not show a Windows 8 option after dual boot

    - by skytreader
So, I've successfully dual-booted my Windows 8 machine with Ubuntu 12.04 . However, I still don't have a convenient method of choosing what OS to load at boot time. After installing Ubuntu, my computer still loads Windows 8 directly. I then added grubx64.efi to the white list of my boot loader. But after that, my machine loads Ubuntu directly without even a shadow of GRUB showing up! I used boot-repair and I got this paste.ubuntu URL: paste.ubuntu.com/1326074. After running boot-repair (and re-white listing the grubx64.efi file), GRUB now shows up but without any Windows 8 option! Lastly, I ran sudo fdisk -l and it gave me this: WARNING: GPT (GUID Partition Table) detected on '/dev/sda'! The util fdisk doesn't support GPT. Use GNU Parted. Disk /dev/sda: 750.2 GB, 750156374016 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 91201 cylinders, total 1465149168 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 4096 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 4096 bytes / 4096 bytes Disk identifier: 0x6396389f Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 1 1465149167 732574583+ ee GPT Partition 1 does not start on physical sector boundary. I'm guessing my problem has something to do with the warning from fdisk above but I don't know what to do with it. How do I proceed now?

  • Banshee gapless playback does not work when playing mp3s

    - by ComputerGuy505
Even though I have gapless playback enabled in Banshee's settings menu, there is a very short pause between songs. This might be due to the fact that my hard drive's partitions seem wierd. fdisk -l produces this output: Disk /dev/sda: 750.2 GB, 750156374016 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 91201 cylinders, total 1465149168 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 4096 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 4096 bytes / 4096 bytes Disk identifier: 0x4a73c3cb Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 * 2048 409599 203776 7 HPFS/NTFS/exFAT /dev/sda2 409600 724153740 361872070+ 7 HPFS/NTFS/exFAT /dev/sda3 1456826368 1465145343 4159488 c W95 FAT32 (LBA) /dev/sda4 724154366 1456826367 366336001 5 Extended Partition 4 does not start on physical sector boundary. /dev/sda5 1440159744 1456826367 8333312 82 Linux swap / Solaris /dev/sda6 724154368 1440159743 358002688 83 Linux Partition table entries are not in disk order Playing mp3's from /dev/sda2 or /dev/sda6 produces this problem. I don't seem to have gapless playback on Rhythmbox or Clementine either, if those media players are supposed to have it. I'm not sure what other info to provide. This is just annoying to me. Thanks for any help.

I've had hard drive errors in the past and those always had errors about failing to write to specific sectors in the logs. Not this time. Should I be replacing the drive? Could something else be causing the problem? I've scheduled a smartctl -t long test that will finish in a couple of hours. I hope this will give me some more info.

  • How do I create JavaScript escape sequences in PHP?

    - by ordinarytoucan
    I'm looking for a way to create valid UTF-16 JavaScript escape sequence characters (including surrogate pairs) from within PHP. I'm using the code below to get the UTF-32 code points (from a UTF-8 encoded character). This works as JavaScript escape characters (eg. '\u00E1' for 'á') - until you get into the upper ranges where you get surrogate pairs (eg '??' comes out as '\u1D715' but should be '\uD835\uDF15')... function toOrdinal($chr) { if (ord($chr{0}) >= 0 && ord($chr{0}) <= 127) { return ord($chr{0}); } elseif (ord($chr{0}) >= 192 && ord($chr{0}) <= 223) { return (ord($chr{0}) - 192) * 64 + (ord($chr{1}) - 128); } elseif (ord($chr{0}) >= 224 && ord($chr{0}) <= 239) { return (ord($chr{0}) - 224) * 4096 + (ord($chr{1}) - 128) * 64 + (ord($chr{2}) - 128); } elseif (ord($chr{0}) >= 240 && ord($chr{0}) <= 247) { return (ord($chr{0}) - 240) * 262144 + (ord($chr{1}) - 128) * 4096 + (ord($chr{2}) - 128) * 64 + (ord($chr{3}) - 128); } elseif (ord($chr{0}) >= 248 && ord($chr{0}) <= 251) { return (ord($chr{0}) - 248) * 16777216 + (ord($chr{1}) - 128) * 262144 + (ord($chr{2}) - 128) * 4096 + (ord($chr{3}) - 128) * 64 + (ord($chr{4}) - 128); } elseif (ord($chr{0}) >= 252 && ord($chr{0}) <= 253) { return (ord($chr{0}) - 252) * 1073741824 + (ord($chr{1}) - 128) * 16777216 + (ord($chr{2}) - 128) * 262144 + (ord($chr{3}) - 128) * 4096 + (ord($chr{4}) - 128) * 64 + (ord($chr{5}) - 128); } } How do I adapt this code to give me proper UTF-16 code points? Thanks!

  • PHP is truncating MSSQL Blob data (4096b), even after setting INI values. Am I missing one?

I am writing a PHP script that goes through a table and extracts the varbinary(max) blob data from each record into an external file. • Will logging debugging incur a performance hit if I don't turn debugging on?

    - by romandas
On a Cisco device, I know that enabling debugging can incur a performance hit since debugging has such a high priority on the CPU. I know that to log debugging, you have to set logging up to the debugging level (logging buffered 4096 debugging, for example) and also enable debugging on some feature. Does configuring the logging debugging incur the performance hit even if you don't enable debugging on some feature, or would it be safe (assuming you want and can handle all the logging events via syslog) to configure 'logging buffered 4096 debugging' to have maximum logging available if/when someone uses debug?

  • problem when view the super block in ext3 file system

    - by xuczhang
I tried to view the superblock by command "dd" in ext3 file system. dd if=/dev/sda3 bs=4096 skip=1 count=1 of=superblock But the result in superblock file is not correct(I compare the value of Inodes count I got from dumpe2fs). The device file /dev/sda3 is started at the boot block and then the superblock of the group0? And another question is the boot block and superblock's size are both BLOCKSIZE(here is 4096)? The disk format of ext2/ext3(I think they are the same) are shown below:

  • Postfix not delivering email using Maildir

    I've followed this guide to get postfix set up. I've not completed it yet, as from sending test emails, email is no longer being delivered since switching to Maildir from mbox. I have created a Maildir directory with cur, new and tmp sub directories. ~$ ll drwxrwxr-x 5 greg greg 4096 2012-07-07 16:40 Maildir/ ~$ ll Maildir/ drwxrwxr-x 2 greg greg 4096 2012-07-07 16:40 cur drwxrwxr-x 2 greg greg 4096 2012-07-07 16:40 new drwxrwxr-x 2 greg greg 4096 2012-07-07 16:40 tmp Send a test email. ~$ netcat mail.example.com 25 220 ubuntu ESMTP Postfix (Ubuntu) ehlo example.com 250-ubuntu 250-PIPELINING 250-SIZE 10240000 250-VRFY 250-ETRN 250-STARTTLS 250-ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES 250-8BITMIME 250 DSN mail from: [email protected] 250 2.1.0 Ok rcpt to: [email protected] 250 2.1.5 Ok data 354 End data with <CR><LF>.<CR><LF> Subject: test email Hi, Just testing. . 250 2.0.0 Ok: queued as 56B541EA53 quit 221 2.0.0 Bye Check the mail queue. ~$ mailq Mail queue is empty Check if mail has been delivered. ~$ ls -l Maildir/new total 0 Some postfix settings: ~$ sudo postconf home_mailbox home_mailbox = Maildir/ ~$ sudo postconf mailbox_command mailbox_command = /var/log/mail.log Jul 7 16:57:33 li305-246 postfix/smtpd[21039]: connect from example.com[178.79.168.xxx] Jul 7 16:58:14 li305-246 postfix/smtpd[21039]: 56B541EA53: client=example.com[178.79.168.xxx] Jul 7 16:58:33 li305-246 postfix/cleanup[21042]: 56B541EA53: message-id=<20120707155814.56B541EA53@ubuntu> Jul 7 16:58:33 li305-246 postfix/qmgr[20882]: 56B541EA53: from=<[email protected]>, size=321, nrcpt=1 (queue active) Jul 7 16:58:33 li305-246 postfix/smtp[21043]: 56B541EA53: to=<[email protected]>, relay=none, delay=30, delays=30/0.01/0/0, dsn=5.4.6, status=bounced (mail for example.com loops back to myself) Jul 7 16:58:33 li305-246 postfix/cleanup[21042]: 1F68B1EA55: message-id=<20120707155833.1F68B1EA55@ubuntu> Jul 7 16:58:33 li305-246 postfix/bounce[21044]: 56B541EA53: sender non-delivery notification: 1F68B1EA55 Jul 7 16:58:33 li305-246 postfix/qmgr[20882]: 1F68B1EA55: from=<>, size=1999, nrcpt=1 (queue active) Jul 7 16:58:33 li305-246 postfix/qmgr[20882]: 56B541EA53: removed Jul 7 16:58:33 li305-246 postfix/smtp[21043]: 1F68B1EA55: to=<[email protected]>, relay=none, delay=0, delays=0/0/0/0, dsn=5.4.6, status=bounced (mail for example.com loops back to myself) Jul 7 16:58:33 li305-246 postfix/qmgr[20882]: 1F68B1EA55: removed Jul 7 16:58:36 li305-246 postfix/smtpd[21039]: disconnect from domain.me[178.79.168.xxx] Jul 7 17:10:38 li305-246 postfix/master[20878]: terminating on signal 15 Jul 7 17:10:39 li305-246 postfix/master[21254]: daemon started -- version 2.8.5, configuration /etc/postfix Any ideas?

  • Supervisord appears to be running, but monitored programs aren't launched

    - by Brad Montgomery
I've got supervisord 3.0a8 installed from the system package on ubuntu 10.04 (64bit). The supervisor service appears to be running, but it's not launching the configured programs. Interestingly enough, this exact configuration is running on another system, and is working as expected. The main config file looks like this: ; /etc/supervisor/supervisord.conf [unix_http_server] chmod=0700 file=/var/run/supervisor.sock [supervisord] logfile=/var/log/supervisor/supervisord.log childlogdir=/var/log/supervisor pidfile=/var/run/supervisord.pid [rpcinterface:supervisor] supervisor.rpcinterface_factory = supervisor.rpcinterface:make_main_rpcinterface [supervisorctl] serverurl=unix:///var/run/supervisor.sock [include] files = /etc/supervisor/conf.d/*.conf A sample program config looks like this: ; /etc/supervisor/conf.d/sample.conf [program:sample] directory=/opt/sample command=/opt/sample/run.sh Where, the /opt/sample/run.sh is: #!/bin/bash while true; do T=`date` echo "[$T] Running!" >> /var/log/sample.log sleep 1 done And, here's some additional information regarding the running instance of supervisord: root@myhost:~# supervisorctl version 3.0a8 root@myhost:~# which supervisorctl /usr/bin/supervisorctl root@myhost:~# which supervisord /usr/bin/supervisord root@myhost:~# supervisorctl status # NOTE that there's no output! root@myhost:~# supervisorctl avail root@myhost:~# service supervisor status is running root@myhost:~# ps aux | grep supervisor root 21740 0.1 0.4 40772 10056 ?
