  • GWT FormPanel not submitting in IE - works fine on FF, Chrome, Safari

    I am using a simple FormPanel in GWT (com.google.gwt.user.client.ui.FormPanel). Once setting the action for the form, in Firefox, Safari, Chrome the submit method works fine while in IE (8) nothing happens when submit is called (I am submitting a form to paypal, not that it matters). I am on GWT 2.0. Is this some kind of known problem? Been looking around but couldn't find anything on the subject. Any help appreciated!

  • MVC app not working on server but is fine on development machine

    Hello, I am able to run my application just fine on my dev machine but as soon as I publish it to the web server some functionality is lost. Any type of .ajax POST does not work usually with a 401 unauthorized error. The server is Windows 2008 with IIS7. I also installed Visual Studio 2008 with MVC2 on the server and ran the application directly on the server and the same .ajax POST does not work but the error changed to 500 unknown. Thanks for the help.

  • UIView fine for iPhone 4in, but squashed in iPhone 3.5in

    I started a new project in the new Xcode, and I see that my default the main window is set to 320x548. I'm fine with that, but when I test my app, a view I added to my main xib, which is supposed to be 280x280, looks more like 280x200 when testing on 3.5in devices. I've tried changing the settings for that view in the xib, but nothing seems to affect it. How do I ensure background compatibility so that in older devices the view is the same size?

  • Fine-grained permissions on SVN Repository

    Hello, I'm trying to setup a SVN repo for a whole bunch of users. Different users need to have different levels of access to areas of the repository. A trivial example might be that frontend engineers need access to the "view" and "controllers" but not "model", while backend engineers need access to the "controllers" and "model" but not "view". It needs to be one repository, because (as far as I know) that's the only way to ensure that commits touching multiple modules are atomic. Is there a fine-grained way to control user access to a repository? Thanks!

  • Website looks weird in internet explorer 7, but fine in IE 6 and 8

    I used many different browsers while I was coding for a new site (Firefox, Chrome, IE8, Opera, Safari, Mobile devices, etc...). It looked the same across all browsers. I recently uploaded the site onto the server and got to look at it from work, using Internet Explorer 7 and It looks horrible. Elements are floating wild all over the place, but I cant figure out why. The weird thing is I just looked at it from IE6, and it looks fine, with the exception of unsupported transparencies in PNG's. If anybody has IE7, you can view the site here. Thanks

    i am having a very irritating problem, when i open a url ( http://celebs.widewallpapers.net/md/a/adriana-lima/1440/Adriana-Lima-1440x900-002.jpg ) in browser, it works fine.. but when i try to access it by telnet on bash, i get 404 not found!! my exact terminal: $ telnet celebs.widewallpapers.net 80 HEAD /md/a/adriana-lima/1440/Adriana-Lima-1440x900-002.jpg HTTP/1.0 [enter] [enter] HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found Server: nginx Date: Sun, 23 May 2010 21:36:05 GMT Content-Type: text/html; charset=windows-1251 Content-Length: 166 Connection: close please help me with this as i m trying to make a C batch-downloader, which is almost working as same as the telnet.

  • Data tweaking code runs fine when executed directly - but never stops when used in trigger

    I have written some code to ensure that items on an order are all numbered (the "position number" or "item number" has been introduced only recently and we did not want to go and change all related code - as it is "asthetics only" and has no functional impact.) So, the idea is to go and check for an records that jave an itemno of NULL or 0 - and then compute one and assign it. When executing this code in a query window, it works fine. When putting it into an AFTER INSERT-trigger, it loops forever.   • my android app runs fine in the emulator, but when i publish it it's wrong

    i have an app that has a few checkboxes in the settings and then compiles a remote sql based on the checkboxes selected. i ran it in the emulator and it's fine. but then i exported it and published it as an app, and the same checked boxes aren't being passed correctly. i wonder if it's a caching issue or something. tried deleting the apks a few times and republish but to no avail. i "fake-edited" the source java and then export again, still no difference. i'm kind of new to eclipse but is there a force build option? i only see build-automatically option under project but not sure how i can make sure that the apk exported is the same as run in the emulator edit the emulator is version 1.5, and my phone is nexus one running 2.1- not sure if that makes a difference thanks

  • iOS app won't compile on device but works fine in simulator

    I'm assuming this has something to do with linking, but I've removed RestKit and re-added it. I made sure all my connections and linking was in place. If I set XCode to use the simulator it runs fine, but as soon as I set it to run on any device it won't even build. The only other thing of note is this didn't start happening till I upgraded to XCode 4.5. Without depending much on application provider's expertise I want to achieve maximum o/p from linux. W.r.t. that I have certain questions as following: How to find out if there is scope for further tcp fine-tuning (without exhausting available resources) as the benchmark values given by vendor looks poor! Is there any parameter value that is available from OS / network stack that will show me the results. If at all there is scope, how shall I identify & configure OS tcp stack parameters i.e. using sysctl or any specific parameter Post tuning how shall I clearly measure performance enhancement / degradation ?

    Using http://web-sniffer.net/, I'm seeing a 500 internal error when accessing the https://www version of my site (https://moblized.com). However that URL loads perfectly fine with no errors. I was checking this because Google Webmaster is showing a bunch of 500 errors on my site. Also just noticed that I get a 200 success error if sniffing with HTTP 1.0, but a 500 with HTTP 1.1 Note: All other URL versions 301 redirect to https://www, eg. http://www , https:// , http:// FIXED: For any curious parties, there was one PHP bug that was causing a fatal error, but was still allowing the page to load.   • PHP/CSS issue, one account has a fine style, the other is weird

    Hello there, I am currently having the above issue, where on a CMS called phpVMS a CSS displaying front page works fine on the first account, but does not on any other user accounts. This only applies to the frontpage, and all of the tags seem to be closed. The top half of the picture is how it should display and how it displays for user GSM1001. The bottom half is for users GSM1002 upwards. I am really puzzled and I'd appreciate any suggestions. I am happy to post snippets of the code here or on jsFiddle if you require to see it.   • PHP CURL works fine from localhost not from server

    I have 2 servers, srv1 and srv2. All client sites are stored in srv2 and all authentication details are stored in srv1. Each time a client site is loaded, the site in srv2 sends a curl request to srv1 to validate. I am always getting bool(false) when I print the curl response using var_dump. But if I am requesting for validation from my local wamp installation(localhost) it is perfectly returning the response. According to my understanding srv2 is blocking srv1 ip or something like that. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. The solution is really urgent as all my clients are stuck with invalid authorization message. Edit: Now when i tested curl in srv2 is working fine i think. Because I am able to fetch other websites without any trouble. But I am not able to fetch data from srv1. I can view a page from srv1 through browser url but not through curl.

  • Documents/Images display fine in Simulator, but not on my device

    Hello. My application is running fine on the simulator, but not on the device. Basically, any documents from the web (PDF, Word, M4P videos) are working great on the simulator (and can be accessed from Safari on the iPhone). However, running on the iPhone, they don't display anything. Here's some sample code: // Set up the URL documentViewController.documentUrl = [NSURL URLWithString:[NSString stringWithFormat:mobileContentUrl]]; // mobileContentUrl is something like: http://www.myserver.com/pathitem/Video.mp4" and can be accessed from Safari [self.navigationController pushViewController:documentViewController animated:YES]; Within documentViewController I have: - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; [webView loadRequest:[NSURLRequest requestWithURL:documentUrl]]; } As I said, works like a charm in the Simulator...What could possibly causing this NOT to work on iPhone?
