• Avoid extra xmlns:xsi while adding an attribute to XML root

- by Rakesh kumar
I am creating an xml file using this code: XmlDocument d = new XmlDocument(); XmlDeclaration xmlDeclaration = d.CreateXmlDeclaration("1.0", "utf-8", null); d.InsertBefore(xmlDeclaration,d.DocumentElement); XmlElement root = d.CreateElement("ITRETURN","ITR","http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ITR1"); XmlAttribute xsiNs = d.CreateAttribute("xsi:schemaLocation", "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"); xsiNs.Value = "http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/main ITRMain10.xsd"; root.SetAttributeNode(xsiNs); //root.SetAttribute("xsi:schemaLocation", "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"); root.SetAttribute("xmlns:ITR1FORM", "http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ITR1"); root.SetAttribute("xmlns:ITR2FORM", "http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ITR2"); root.SetAttribute("xmlns:ITR3FORM", "http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ITR3"); root.SetAttribute("xmlns:ITR4FORM", "http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ITR4"); d.AppendChild(root); d.Save("c://myxml.xml"); and I am getting an output like this - - <ITRETURN:ITR xsi:schemaLocation="http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/main ITRMain10.xsd" xmlns:ITR1FORM="http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ITR1" xmlns:ITR2FORM="http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ITR2" xmlns:ITR3FORM="http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ITR3" xmlns:ITR4FORM="http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ITR4" xmlns:xsi="http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/main ITRMain10.xsd" xmlns:ITRETURN="http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ITR1"> <ITR1FORM:ITR1>root node</ITR1FORM:ITR1> </ITRETURN:ITR> But my requirement is like <ITRETURN:ITR xsi:schemaLocation="http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/main ITRMain10.xsd" xmlns:ITR1FORM="http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ITR1" xmlns:ITR2FORM="http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ITR2" xmlns:ITR3FORM="http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ITR3" xmlns:ITR4FORM="http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ITR4" xmlns:ITRETURN="http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/main" xmlns:ITRForm="http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/master" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> + <ITR1FORM:ITR1>any value </ITR1FORM:ITR1> </ITRETURN:ITR> What do I need to change in my code to get the desired output?

• web2py or grok (zope) on a big portal,

- by Robert
Hi, I am planning to make some big project (1 000 000 users, approximately 500 request pre second - in hot time). For performance I'm going to use no relational dbms (each request could cost lot of instructions in relational dbms like mysql) - so i can't use DAL. My question is: how web2py is working with a big traffic, is it work concurrently? I'm consider to use web2py or Gork - Zope, How is working zodb(Z Object Database) with a lot of data? Is there some comparison with object-relational postgresql? Could you advice me please.

• XML validation error when using multiple schema files/namespaces

- by user129609
Hi, I've been reading a ton about xml and learning a lot but I am stuck on one error. I have a schema defined in multiple files and I can't get it to work. Here is an example ================================== libraryBooks.xsd <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="urn:MyNamespace" targetNamespace="urn:MyNamespace" elementFormDefault="qualified" > <xsd:element name="libraryBooks" type="libraryBooksType"/> <xsd:complexType name="libraryBooksType"> <xsd:sequence> <xsd:any minOccurs="0"/> </xsd:sequence> <xsd:attribute name="name" type="xsd:string"/> </xsd:complexType> </xsd:schema> ================================== book.xsd <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="urn:MyNamespace2" targetNamespace="urn:MyNamespace2" elementFormDefault="qualified" > <xsd:element name="book" type="booksType"/> <xsd:complexType name="bookType"> <xsd:attribute name="title" type="xsd:string"/> </xsd:complexType> </xsd:schema> ================================== myXml.xml <libraryBooks xmlns="urn:MyNamespace" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="urn:MyNamespace file:///C:/libraryBooks.xsd" name="CentralLibrary"> <mn2:book xmlns:mn2="file:///C:/book.xsd" title="How to make xml work the way I want"> </mn2:book> </libraryBooks> So the error I get would be "The 'file:///C:/book.xsd:book' element is not found". Any ideas? I'm almost certain it is something simple

• Handling element collisions on importing/including XML schemas

- by eggyal
Given schema definitions that define the same element differently, can one import/include both definitions and reference them independently from within a third schema definition? For example, given: <schema xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" targetNamespace="urn:example:namespace"> <element name="message" type="boolean"/> </schema> and: <schema xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" targetNamespace="urn:example:namespace"> <element name="message" type="date"/> </schema> Can one construct the following: <schema xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" targetNamespace="urn:example:namespace"> <complexType name="booleanMessageType"> <xs:sequence> </xs:sequence> </complexType> <complexType name="dateMessageType"> <xs:sequence> </xs:sequence> </complexType> </schema>

• Adhoc Data processing / ETL

- by Dane
I've just started at a new company in outsourced communications (e.g. print and mail, email, fax). One of the requirements is to process clients data and get it ready for mailing. For recurring jobs, this is easy using an ETL tool linked in with some addressing software, but for adhoc stuff it's a bit overkill. I've used inhouse developed stuff before (clunky but usable), but I don't want to have to re-develop that here. Any recommendations? Some features : Basic DBMS functionality (preferably with a proper DBMS backend for SQL support) Field concatenation (e.g. combine Firstname + Surname) "Pushing columns" (e.g. with address fields 1 - 8, push them left so if one is blank, the next one gets pushed up) Australia post mail sorting and dpid allocation (or can link into external tools relatively easily)

• .NET client getting "not well formed" XML response from Axis web service

- by Tex
I have a simple .NET app that makes a SOAP call to a third party Axis web service. When I trace the HTTP traffic, I see that the Request looks fine, however I'm getting an exception: "Response is not well-formed XML." The return object is null, as it seems the XML can't be deserialized. One question regarding the various namespace declarations inside the wsdl. Several of these declarations point to URLs / domains that no longer exist. Could this cause any problems? From the wsdl document: <wsdl:definitions targetNamespace="http://domaindoesntexist.com/" xmlns:apachesoap="http://xml.apache.org/xml-soap" xmlns:impl="http://domaindoesntexist.com/" xmlns:intf="http://domaindoesntexist.com/" xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" xmlns:wsdlsoap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"> A sample HTTP response with incriminating data removed: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: Apache-Coyote/1.1 Content-Type: text/xml;charset=utf-8 Transfer-Encoding: chunked Date: Fri, 05 Jun 2009 13:54:59 GMT 7cb <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <soapenv:Body> <someMethod xmlns="http://test.com/services/myservice/"> </someMethod> </soapenv:Body> </soapenv:Envelope> 0

• Namespace Traversal

- by RikSaunderson
I am trying to parse the following sample piece of XML: <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"> <soapenv:Body> <d2LogicalModel modelBaseVersion="1.0" xmlns="http://datex2.eu/schema/1_0/1_0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://datex2.eu/schema/1_0/1_0 http://datex2.eu/schema/1_0/1_0/DATEXIISchema_1_0_1_0.xsd"> <payloadPublication xsi:type="PredefinedLocationsPublication" lang="en"> <predefinedLocationSet id="GUID-NTCC-VariableMessageSignLocations"> <predefinedLocation id="VMS30082775"> <predefinedLocationName> <value lang="en">VMS M60/9084B</value> </predefinedLocationName> </predefinedLocation> </predefinedLocationSet> </payloadPublication> </d2LogicalModel> </soapenv:Body> </soapenv:Envelope> I specifically need to get at the contents of the top-level predefinedLocation tag. By my calculations, the correct XPath should be /soapenv:Envelope/soapenv:Body/d2LogicalModel/payloadPublication/predefinedLocationSet/predefinedLocation I am using the following C# code to parse the XML: string filename = "content-sample.xml"; XmlDocument xmlDoc = new XmlDocument(); xmlDoc.Load(filename); XmlNamespaceManager nsmanager = new XmlNamespaceManager(xmlDoc.NameTable); nsmanager.AddNamespace("soapenv", "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/Envelope"); string xpath ="/soapenv:Envelope/soapenv:Body/d2LogicalModel/payloadPublication/predefinedLocationSet/predefinedLocation"; XmlNodeList itemNodes = xmlDoc.SelectNodes(xpath, nsmanager); However, this keeps coming up with no results. Can anyone shed any light on this, because I feel like I'm banging my head on a brick wall.

• Sybase ASE

- by Linchi Shea
I sat in a Sybase ASE class last week for five days. Although it didn't cover the more advanced features introduced in the more recent versions of Sybase ASE, the class did touch all the basics of administering Sybase ASE. While I was successful in suppressing any urge to openly compare Sybase ASE with Microsoft SQL Server in the class, I could not help making mental notes on the differences between the two database platforms. It's always interesting to look at how two DBMS platforms that share the...(read more)

• Five Things To Which SQL Server Should Say "Goodbye and Good Riddance"

I was tagged by master blogger Aaron Bertrand and asked to identify five things that should be removed from SQL Server. Easy enough, or so I thought... 1) Tempdb . But I should qualify that a bit. Tempdb is absolutely necessary for SQL Server to properly function, but in its current state is easily the number one bottleneck in the majority of SQL Server instances. Many other DBMS vendors abandoned the "monolithic, instance-scoped temporary data space" years ago, yet SQL Server soldiers on, putting...(read more)

• Writing custom Message Formatter for SOAP basicHttpBinding

- by Lijo
I have a WSDL published by our service development team. It is using SOAP and basicHttpBinding. I can add the service reference to the project using Add Service Reference option in Visual Studio. I need to develop the WCF client. I need to use custom Message Formatter (for mapping between Messages and CLR types). Can you please show how to write the custom Message Formatter (in C# )for the following wsdl? The WSDL file can be found here: http://www.wegotcha.nl/servicehandler/service.wsdl This is my code in the android app: String SOAP_ACTION = "http://www.wegotcha.nl/servicehandler/CheckLogin"; String NAMESPACE = "http://www.wegotcha.nl/servicehandler"; String METHOD_NAME = "CheckLogin"; String URL = "http://www.wegotcha.nl/servicehandler/servicehandler.php"; String resultData = ""; SoapSerializationEnvelope soapEnv = new SoapSerializationEnvelope(SoapEnvelope.VER11); SoapObject request = new SoapObject(NAMESPACE, METHOD_NAME); SoapObject UserCredentials = new SoapObject("Types", "UserCredentials6"); UserCredentials.addProperty("mail", params[0]); UserCredentials.addProperty("password", md5(params[1])); request.addSoapObject(UserCredentials); soapEnv.setOutputSoapObject(request); HttpTransportSE http = new HttpTransportSE(URL); http.setXmlVersionTag(""); http.debug = true; try { http.call(SOAP_ACTION, soapEnv); } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } catch (XmlPullParserException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } SoapObject results = null; results = (SoapObject)soapEnv.bodyOut; if(results != null) resultData = results.getProperty(0).toString(); return resultData; Using fiddler I got the following: Android request: <v:Envelope xmlns:i="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:d="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:c="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:v="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><v:Header /> <v:Body> <n0:CheckLogin id="o0" c:root="1" xmlns:n0="http://www.wegotcha.nl/servicehandler"> <n1:UserCredentials6 i:type="n1:UserCredentials6" xmlns:n1="Types"> <mail i:type="d:string">myemail</mail> <password i:type="d:string">myhashedpass</password> </n1:UserCredentials6> </n0:CheckLogin> </v:Body> </v:Envelope> Getting the following response: Procedure 'CheckLogin' not present My request produced by my WPF app looks completely different: <s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"> <s:Body xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"> <UserCredentials6 xmlns="Types"> <mail>mymail</mail> <password>mypassword</password> </UserCredentials6> </s:Body> </s:Envelope> After googling my ass off I was not able to solve this problem by myself. It may be possible there are some weird things in my Java code because I changed a lot since. I hope you guys will be able to help me, thanks. EDIT: My webservice is of document/literal encoding style, after doing some research I found I should be able to use SoepEnvelope Instead of SoapSerializationEnvelope Though when I replace this I get an error before the try cache block, causing my app to crash. Error: 11-04 16:23:26.786: E/AndroidRuntime(26447): Caused by: java.lang.ClassCastException: org.ksoap2.serialization.SoapObject cannot be cast to org.kxml2.kdom.Node Which is caused by these lines: request.addSoapObject(UserCredentials); soapEnv.setOutputSoapObject(request); This may be a solution though, how do I go about this? I found nothing about using a SoapEnvelope instead of a SoapSerializationEnvelope except for this awesome tutorial: http://ksoap.objectweb.org/project/mailingLists/ksoap/msg00849.html

• nsdata to nsstring to nsdata

- by Jayshree
Hello everybody. I am calling the webservices. The web service returns data in xml format. Now the problem is the xml data is not being received in proper format. In place of "<", "" it returns in html format like-(<) and (>) . So i assigned the xmldata to a NsMutableString and replaced the escape characters so that the format of xml data is proper. Then i reassigned the NSMutableString to NSData so that i can parse the tags. but the problem is the xmlparser stops right where the xml data is. Where i replaced the tags. it doesnt go further. can anybody make me understand what is going on???? This is the xml response from webservice that i called. <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"> <SOAP-ENV:Body> <ns1:GetCustomerInfoResponse xmlns:ns1="http://aa.somewebservice.com/phpwebservice"> <return xsi:type="xsd:string"> <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><customer><id>1</id><customername>Hitesh</customername><phonenumber>98989898</phonenumber></customer> </return> </ns1:GetCustomerInfoResponse> </SOAP-ENV:Body> </SOAP-ENV:Envelope> And this is after i replaced the tags. <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"> <SOAP-ENV:Body> <ns1:GetCustomerInfoResponse xmlns:ns1="http://a.somewebservice.com/phpwebservice"> <return xsi:type="xsd:string"> <customer>
<customername>Hitesh</customername><phonenumber>98989898</phonenumber></customer> </return> </ns1:GetCustomerInfoResponse> </SOAP-ENV:Body></SOAP-ENV:Envelope> Now the problem is while parsing the parser only goes upto return tag. And then it is stuck there. It doesnt go any further. So wat do i do? anybody care to help me?

• Resolve naming conflict in included XSDs for JAXB compilation

- by Jason Faust
I am currently trying to compile with JAXB (IBM build 2.1.3) a pair of schema files into the same package. Each will compile on it's own, but when trying to compile them together i get a element naming conflict due to includes. My question is; is there a way to specify with an external binding a resolution to the naming collision. Example files follow. In the example the offending element is called "Common", which is defined in both incA and incB: incA.xsd <schema xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" targetNamespace="http://www.example.org/" xmlns:tns="http://www.example.org/" elementFormDefault="qualified"> <complexType name="TypeA"> <sequence> <element name="ElementA" type="string"></element> </sequence> </complexType> <element name="Common" type="tns:TypeA"></element> </schema> incB.xsd <schema xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" targetNamespace="http://www.example.org/" xmlns:tns="http://www.example.org/" elementFormDefault="qualified"> <complexType name="TypeB"> <sequence> <element name="ElementB" type="int"></element> </sequence> </complexType> <element name="Common" type="tns:TypeB"></element> </schema> A.xsd <schema targetNamespace="http://www.example.org/" elementFormDefault="qualified" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:tns="http://www.example.org/"> <include schemaLocation="incA.xsd"></include> <complexType name="A"> <sequence> <element ref="tns:Common"></element> </sequence> </complexType> </schema> B.xsd <schema targetNamespace="http://www.example.org/" elementFormDefault="qualified" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:tns="http://www.example.org/"> <include schemaLocation="incB.xsd"></include> <complexType name="B"> <sequence> <element ref="tns:Common"></element> </sequence> </complexType> </schema> Compiler error when both are compiled from one evocation of xjb: [ERROR] 'Common' is already defined line 9 of file:/C:/temp/incB.xsd [ERROR] (related to above error) the first definition appears here line 9 of file:/C:/temp/incA.xsd (For reference, this is a generalization to resolve an issue with compiling the OAGIS8 SP3 package)

• Invoke a SOAP method with namespace prefixes

- by mvladic
My C# web service client sends following soap message to Java-based web service: <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"> <soap:Body> <getData> <request> <requestParameters xmlns="http://b..."> <equals> ... </equals> </requestParameters> </request> </getData> </soap:Body> </soap:Envelope> and Java-based web service returns error: 500 Internal Server Error ... Cannot find dispatch method for {}getData ... Client written in Java, which works, sends the following message: <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"> <soap:Body> <ns2:getData xmlns:ns2="http://a..."> <ns2:request> <ns3:requestParameters xmlns:ns3="http://b..."> <ns3:equals> ... </ns3:equals> </ns3:requestParameters> </ns2:request> </ns2:getData> </soap:Body> </soap:Envelope> Is there an easy way in C# to send SOAP messages the same way Java client sends: with namespace prefixes? Following is C# code that sends message: // class MyService is auto-generated using wsdl.exe tool MyService service = new MyService(); RequestMessage request = new RequestMessage(); ... ResponseMessage response = service.getData(request); ... UPDATE: RequestMessage class looks like this: /// <remarks/> [System.CodeDom.Compiler.GeneratedCodeAttribute("svcutil", "3.0.4506.2152")] [System.SerializableAttribute()] [System.Diagnostics.DebuggerStepThroughAttribute()] [System.ComponentModel.DesignerCategoryAttribute("code")] [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlTypeAttribute(Namespace="http://uri.etsi.org/02657/v1.5.1#/RetainedData")] public partial class RequestMessage { private byte[] requestPriorityField; private RequestConstraints requestParametersField; private string deliveryPointHIBField; private string maxHitsField; private NationalRequestParameters nationalRequestParametersField; private System.Xml.XmlElement anyField; /// <remarks/> [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlElementAttribute(DataType="hexBinary", Order=0)] public byte[] requestPriority { get { return this.requestPriorityField; } set { this.requestPriorityField = value; } } /// <remarks/> [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlElementAttribute(Order=1)] public RequestConstraints requestParameters { get { return this.requestParametersField; } set { this.requestParametersField = value; } } /// <remarks/> [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlElementAttribute(Order=2)] public string deliveryPointHIB { get { return this.deliveryPointHIBField; } set { this.deliveryPointHIBField = value; } } /// <remarks/> [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlElementAttribute(DataType="integer", Order=3)] public string maxHits { get { return this.maxHitsField; } set { this.maxHitsField = value; } } /// <remarks/> [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlElementAttribute(Order=4)] public NationalRequestParameters nationalRequestParameters { get { return this.nationalRequestParametersField; } set { this.nationalRequestParametersField = value; } } /// <remarks/> [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlAnyElementAttribute(Order=5)] public System.Xml.XmlElement Any { get { return this.anyField; } set { this.anyField = value; } } }

• Creating a consumer of a Web Service WSDL/SOAP

- by Azzi
I am attempting to write a Windows Desktop App (using WCF) that is a consumer of a web service. The application: Sends a SOAP message to a British Government Server to get an authentication token based on the arugments passed Retrieves a response from that server in the form of a string which contains the authentication token. I have a template of the SOAP message from the British Government, and a WSDL file for the service. What I have tried Add a service reference using the WSDL file. I received the following error: URI formats are not supported. Add a Web Reference using the URL of the service. I received the following error: The request failed with HTTP status 405: Method Not Allowed. Send the SOAP request using a POST. The Call to GetResponse() threw a 500 External Server Error. • Getting ActiveRecord (Rails) to_xml to use xsi:nil and xsi:type instead of nil and type

- by nbeyer
The default behavior of XML serialization (to_xml) for ActiveRecord objects will emit 'type' and 'nil' attributes that are similar to XML Schema Instance attributes, but aren't set in a XML Namespace. For example, a model might produce an output like this: <user> <username nil="true" /> <first-name type="string">Name</first-name> </user> Is there anyway to get to_xml to utilize the XML Schema Instance namespace and prefix the attributes and the values? Using the above example, I'd like to produce the following: <user xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/1999/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/1999/XMLSchema"> <username xsi:nil="true" /> <first-name xsi:type="xs:string">Name</first-name> </user>

• PHP AND SOAP. Change envelope

- by Oleg
Hi All!!! It is many questions there about PHP and SOAP. But I am not found answer on my situation. So. I use PHP SoapClient and WSDL for it. Object sends this: <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:ns1="http://www.site.com"><SOAP-ENV:Body> But I need this: <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"><soap:Body> Question. How I can do this with standard PHP class SoapClient? Thank you.

• trouble resolving location in <xs:import > element in C#

- by BobC
I'm using an XML schema document to validate incoming data documents, however the schema appears be failing during compilation at run time because it refers to a complex type which part of an external schema. The external schema is specified in a element at the top of the document. I had thought it might be an access problem, so I moved a copy of the external document to a localhost folder. I get the same error, so now I'm wondering if there might be some sort of issue with the use of the element. The schema document fragment looks like this: <xs:schema targetNamespace="http://www.smpte-ra.org/schemas/429-7/2006/CPL" xmlns:cpl="http://www.smpte-ra.org/schemas/429-7/2006/CPL" xmlns:ds="http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" elementFormDefault="qualified" attributeFormDefault="unqualified"> ... <xs:import namespace="http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#" schemaLocation="http://localhost/TMSWebServices/XMLSchema/xmldsig-core-schema.xsd"/> ... <xs:element name="Signer" type="ds:KeyInfoType" minOccurs="0"/> ... </xs:schema> The code I'm trying to run this with is real simple (got it from http://dotnetslackers.com/Community/blogs/haissam/archive/2008/11/06/validate-xml-against-xsd-xml-schema-using-c.aspx) string XSDFILEPATH = @"http://localhost/TMSWebServices/XMLSchema/CPL.xsd"; string XMLFILEPATH = @"C:\foo\bar\files\TestCPLs\CPL_930f5e92-be03-440c-a2ff-a13f3f16e1d6.xml"; System.Xml.XmlReaderSettings settings = new System.Xml.XmlReaderSettings(); settings.Schemas.Add(null, XSDFILEPATH); settings.ValidationType = System.Xml.ValidationType.Schema; System.Xml.XmlDocument document = new System.Xml.XmlDocument(); document.Load(XMLFILEPATH); System.Xml.XmlReader rdr = System.Xml.XmlReader.Create(new StringReader(document.InnerXml), settings); while (rdr.Read()) { } Everything goes well until the line that instantiates the XMLReader object just before the while loop. Then it fails with a type not declared error. The type that it's trying to find, KeyInfoType, is defined in one of the the documents in the import element. I've made sure the namespaces line up. I wondered if the # signs in the namespace definitions were causing a problem, but removing them had no effect, it just changed what the error looked like (i.e. "Type 'http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig:KeyInfoType' is not declared." versus "Type 'http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#:KeyInfoType' is not declared.") My suspicion is that there's something about the processing of the element that I'm missing. Any suggestions are very welcome. Thanks!
