  • Sort an array with special characters - iPhone

    - by ncohen
    Hi everyone, I have an array with french strings let say: "égrener" and "exact" I would like to sort it such as égrener is the first. When I do: NSSortDescriptor *descriptor = [[NSSortDescriptor alloc] initWithKey:@"name" ascending:YES]; NSArray *sortDescriptors = [NSArray arrayWithObject:descriptor]; NSArray *sortedArray = [myArray sortedArrayUsingDescriptors:sortDescriptors]; I get the é at the end of the list... What should I do? Thanks

  • Maven. How to include specific folder or file when assemblying project depending on is it dev build or production?

    - by user563588
    Using maven-assembly-plugin <plugin> <artifactId>maven-assembly-plugin</artifactId> <version>2.1</version> <configuration> <descriptors> <descriptor>descriptor.xml</descriptor> </descriptors> <finalName>xxx-impl-${pom.version}</finalName> <outputDirectory>target/assembly</outputDirectory> <workDirectory>target/assembly/work</workDirectory> </configuration> in descriptor.xml file we can specify <fileSets> <fileSet> <directory>src/install</directory> <outputDirectory>/</outputDirectory> </fileSet> </fileSets> Is it possible to include specific file from this folder or sub-folder depending on profile? Or some other way... Like this: <profiles> <profile> <id>dev</id> <activation> <activeByDefault>false</activeByDefault> </activation> <build> <resources> <resource> <directory>src/install/dev</directory> <includes> <include>**/*</include> </includes> </resource> </resources> </build> </profile> <profile> <id>prod</id> <build> <resources> <resource> <directory>src/install/prod</directory> <includes> <include>**/*</include> </includes> </resource> </resources> </build> </profile> </profiles> But it puts resources in jar when packaging. But we need to put it in zip when assemblying as I already mentioned above :( Thanks!

  • Compose path (with boost::filesystem)

    - by ypnos
    I have a file that describes input data, which is split into several other files. In my descriptor file, I first give the path A that tells where all the other files are found. The originator may set either a relative (to location of the descriptor file) or absolute path. When my program is called, the user gives the name of the descriptor file. It may not be in the current working directory, so the filename B given may also contain directories. For my program to always find the input files at the right places, I need to combine this information. If the path A given is absolute, I need to just that one. If it is relative, I need to concatenate it to the path B (i.e. directory portion of the filename). I thought boost::filesystem::complete may do the job for me. Unfortunately, it seems it is not. I also did not understand how to test wether a path given is absolute or not. Any ideas?

  • How to select "child" entities in subview?

    - by Andy
    I am trying to manage a drill-down list of data. I've got an entity, Contact, that has a to-many relationship with another entity, Rule. In my root view controller, I use a fetched results controller to manage and display the list of Contacts. When a Contact is tapped, I push a new view controller onto the stack with a list of the Contact's Rules. I have not been able to figure out how to use a second fetched results controller to display the Rules, so I'm using the following: // create a set of the contact's rules rules = [NSMutableSet set]; rules = [self.contact mutableSetValueForKey:@"rule"]; // create an array of rules from the set arrayOfRules = [NSMutableArray arrayWithCapacity:[rules count]]; for (id oneObject in rules) [arrayOfRules addObject:oneObject]; // sort the array of rules NSSortDescriptor *descriptor = [[NSSortDescriptor alloc] initWithKey:@"phoneLabel" ascending:YES]; [arrayOfRules sortUsingDescriptors:[NSArray arrayWithObject:descriptor]]; [descriptor release]; I create a set of Rules, then use that to create an array of Rules for sorting. I then use these two collections to populate the grouped table view. All of this appears to be working correctly. Here's my problem: There are several different actions a user can take in this view, and most of them require that I know which Rule was tapped. But I can't figure out how to get that. For instance, say a user wants to delete a Rule. It seems to me the proper approach is something like... [rules removeObject:ruleObjectToBeRemoved] ...but I can't figure out how to specifiy ruleObjectToBeRemoved. I hope all of this makes sense. As usual, thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

  • Scanner that worked with Ubuntu 10.4 cannot be found by 13.4

    - by stevecoh1
    My computer previously ran Ubuntu 10.4. After upgrading to 13.4, my Epson scanner no longer can be found by the system. Following documentation, I find the following: $ sane-find-scanner # sane-find-scanner will now attempt to detect your scanner. If the # result is different from what you expected, first make sure your # scanner is powered up and properly connected to your computer. # No SCSI scanners found. If I instead run sudo sane-find-scanner, I get $ sudo sane-find-scanner # sane-find-scanner will now attempt to detect your scanner. If the # result is different from what you expected, first make sure your # scanner is powered up and properly connected to your computer. # No SCSI scanners found. It's seems likely that this is a permissions issue since the scanner can be found as root, but I don't know how to solve it. Can someone help?

  • WLS Console Timeout

    - by john.graves(at)oracle.com
    The WebLogic console timeout is a great feature for security, yet a horrible feature during development.  Logging in over and over again gets to be annoying.  This is very easy to change, but I would never do this on a production system!   Find the WebLogic consoleapp weblogic.xml file.  This is typically in your WL_HOME/server/lib/consoleapp/webapp/WEB-INF/ directory. Edit the weblogic.xml file: Update the section shown and increase the timeout-secs.  I just throw an extra zero at the end giving me ten full hours of fun!!!: <session-descriptor> <timeout-secs>36000</timeout-secs> <invalidation-interval-secs>60</invalidation-interval-secs> <cookie-name>ADMINCONSOLESESSION</cookie-name> <cookie-max-age-secs>-1</cookie-max-age-secs> <cookie-http-only>false</cookie-http-only> <url-rewriting-enabled>false</url-rewriting-enabled> </session-descriptor> .csharpcode, .csharpcode pre { font-size: small; color: black; font-family: consolas, "Courier New", courier, monospace; background-color: #ffffff; /*white-space: pre;*/ } .csharpcode pre { margin: 0em; } .csharpcode .rem { color: #008000; } .csharpcode .kwrd { color: #0000ff; } .csharpcode .str { color: #006080; } .csharpcode .op { color: #0000c0; } .csharpcode .preproc { color: #cc6633; } .csharpcode .asp { background-color: #ffff00; } .csharpcode .html { color: #800000; } .csharpcode .attr { color: #ff0000; } .csharpcode .alt { background-color: #f4f4f4; width: 100%; margin: 0em; } .csharpcode .lnum { color: #606060; }

  • How to use UMLFS?

    - by Vi
    I'm trying to mount what is inside UML session as FUSE filesystem on host. There's "uml_mount" program which looks like a thing for this purpose, but it fails. What is UMLFS (I haven't found any documentation at all) and how to mount it? uml_mount mounts FUSE filesystem and starts uml_mconsole <umid> umlfs <file descriptor> which tries to send this file descriptor to UML kernel (to deal with further FUSE things), but sending fails. Also I haven't found any signs of FUSE inside a kernel. Do I need some special patch for this?

  • Best Terminology for a particular php-based site architecture? [closed]

    - by hen3ry
    For a site... o whose overall look-and-feel is generated by one php page ("index.php"). o in which "index.php" provides for all pages served the following required components: The DOCTYPE, opening html tag, the head section, the opening body tag, the end-body tag, and end-html tag. o which uses computed hierarchical navigation menus within "index.php" to offer visitors access to the site content. o in which all content is stored in individual files that contain "headerless html". (The DOCTYPE, etc. etc. being being provided by "index.php" as described above.) Q1: what term best describes this architecture? I'm seeking a concise descriptor that is useful in conversation and definitive as a search term, in whole-web searches, and searching here on Pro Webmasters. Q2: what term best describes the individual content files? Same general goals for the descriptor as above. As you see above, I couldn't avoid using the term "headerless html", my best choice. But this term does not seem to be in general use. I've found some people use this term to describe such as my content files, but others use it quite differently.

  • What does the the reconstruction process of mdadm do exactly on raid10

    - by Azrael
    I've got a system with 4 disks set up as raid10. All disks are usable, and mdadm all states them with UUUU. Due to a recent system crash, the raid is currently reconstruction the raid as it was marked as "not clean," and a reconstruction process was started. On a closer look smartctl shows problems on one disk: sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Unhandled sense code sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Result: hostbyte=DID_OK driverbyte=DRIVER_SENSE sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Sense Key : Medium Error [current] [descriptor] Descriptor sense data with sense descriptors (in hex): 72 03 11 04 00 00 00 0c 00 0a 80 00 00 00 00 00 24 cd 78 d4 sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Add. Can I replace this problematic disk during the reconstruction process, or will I kill the raid with this?

  • The maven assembly plugin is not using the finalName for installing with attach=true?

    - by Roland Wiesemann
    I have configured following assembly: <build> <plugins> <plugin> <artifactId>maven-assembly-plugin</artifactId> <version>2.2-beta-5</version> <executions> <execution> <id>${project.name}-test-assembly</id> <phase>package</phase> <goals> <goal>single</goal> </goals> <configuration> <appendAssemblyId>false</appendAssemblyId> <finalName>${project.name}-test</finalName> <filters> <filter>src/assemble/test/distribution.properties</filter> </filters> <descriptors> <descriptor>src/assemble/distribution.xml</descriptor> </descriptors> <attach>true</attach> </configuration> </execution> <execution> <id>${project.name}-prod-assembly</id> <phase>package</phase> <goals> <goal>single</goal> </goals> <configuration> <appendAssemblyId>false</appendAssemblyId> <finalName>${project.name}-prod</finalName> <filters> <filter>src/assemble/prod/distribution.properties</filter> </filters> <descriptors> <descriptor>src/assemble/distribution.xml</descriptor> </descriptors> <attach>true</attach> </configuration> </execution> </executions> </plugin> </plugins> </build> This produced two zip-files: distribution-prod.zip distribution-test.zip My expectation for the property attach=true is, that the two zip-files are installed with the name as given in property finalName. But the result is, only one file is installed (attached) to the artifact. The maven protocol is: distrib-0.1-SNAPSHOT.zip distrib-0.1-SNAPSHOT.zip The plugin is using the artifact-id instead of property finalName! Is this a bug? The last installation is overwriting the first one. What can i do to install this two files with different names? Thanks for your investigation. Roland

  • How do I get around this lambda expression outer variable issue?

    - by panamack
    I'm playing with PropertyDescriptor and ICustomTypeDescriptor (still) trying to bind a WPF DataGrid to an object, for which the data is stored in a Dictionary. Since if you pass WPF DataGrid a list of Dictionary objects it will auto generate columns based on the public properties of a dictionary (Comparer, Count, Keys and Values) my Person subclasses Dictionary and implements ICustomTypeDescriptor. ICustomTypeDescriptor defines a GetProperties method which returns a PropertyDescriptorCollection. PropertyDescriptor is abstract so you have to subclass it, I figured I'd have a constructor that took Func and an Action parameters that delegate the getting and setting of the values in the dictionary. I then create a PersonPropertyDescriptor for each Key in the dictionary like this: foreach (string s in this.Keys) { var descriptor = new PersonPropertyDescriptor( s, new Func<object>(() => { return this[s]; }), new Action<object>(o => { this[s] = o; })); propList.Add(descriptor); } The problem is that each property get's its own Func and Action but they all share the outer variable s so although the DataGrid autogenerates columns for "ID","FirstName","LastName", "Age", "Gender" they all get and set against "Gender" which is the final resting value of s in the foreach loop. How can I ensure that each delegate uses the desired dictionary Key, i.e. the value of s at the time the Func/Action is instantiated? Much obliged. Here's the rest of my idea, I'm just experimenting here these are not 'real' classes... // DataGrid binds to a People instance public class People : List<Person> { public People() { this.Add(new Person()); } } public class Person : Dictionary<string, object>, ICustomTypeDescriptor { private static PropertyDescriptorCollection descriptors; public Person() { this["ID"] = "201203"; this["FirstName"] = "Bud"; this["LastName"] = "Tree"; this["Age"] = 99; this["Gender"] = "M"; } //... other ICustomTypeDescriptor members... public PropertyDescriptorCollection GetProperties() { if (descriptors == null) { var propList = new List<PropertyDescriptor>(); foreach (string s in this.Keys) { var descriptor = new PersonPropertyDescriptor( s, new Func<object>(() => { return this[s]; }), new Action<object>(o => { this[s] = o; })); propList.Add(descriptor); } descriptors = new PropertyDescriptorCollection(propList.ToArray()); } return descriptors; } //... other other ICustomTypeDescriptor members... } public class PersonPropertyDescriptor : PropertyDescriptor { private Func<object> getFunc; private Action<object> setAction; public PersonPropertyDescriptor(string name, Func<object> getFunc, Action<object> setAction) : base(name, null) { this.getFunc = getFunc; this.setAction = setAction; } // other ... PropertyDescriptor members... public override object GetValue(object component) { return getFunc(); } public override void SetValue(object component, object value) { setAction(value); } }

  • Multi Monitor Setup Problems

    - by Shamballa
    I have Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - the Lucid Lynx. I have until recently been using a nVida Graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT) with two monitors attached, this all worked fine and dandy. A couple of days ago I bought two new identical LCD monitors for a multi monitor setup and two ATI graphics cards (ATI Sapphire Radeon HD5450). NOTE *All monitors work fine in Windows XP, 2k, Vista and 7 After I had booted into Ubuntu only one display came on, that I kind of expected anyway, then I removed the driver for the nVidia card and downloaded the ATI version which gave me the ATI Catalyst Control Center - in that only two of the displays were showing the third was disabled and showing unknown driver. I enabled the third monitor that stated "Unkown Driver" and had to reboot, upon reboot none of the displays work. I restarted and booted up into recovery mode and from now that is only what I can get into using a failsafe driver. It seems according to the log that a server is already active for Display 0 and I have to remove /tmp/.X0-lock and start again. This is what the log file is saying: Fatal Server Error Server is already active for display 0 if this server is no longer running, remove /tmp/.X0-lock and start again. (WW) xf86 closeconsole: KDSETMODE failed: Bad file descriptor (WW) xf86 closeconsole: VT_GETMODE failed: Bad file descriptor (WW) xf86 closeconsole: VT_GETSTATE failed: Bad file descriptor ddxSigGiveUp: closing log I have tried looking at my xorg.config file but unfortunately I have not really got a clue as to how it "should" be - I have tried regenerating it using this command from a terminal: sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg but that had no effect so I am currently stuck in failsafe driver mode but two monitors are active but are mirroring each other. I hope that this is not to long - looking back I have been going on a bit! but I am just trying to explain as much as I can... I have asked this on Linuxquestions but nobody seems to know either or at least I have not had any responses. Could some kind soul please help explain what I can do from here? I would be eternally grateful. Chris * Update * Removing xorg.conf does nothing other than allowing me to use only two monitors - using the command: sudo aticonfig --initial generates the xorg.conf file below: but does not work either - I just get two monitors... Section "ServerLayout" Identifier "aticonfig Layout" Screen 0 "aticonfig-Screen[0]-0" 0 0 EndSection Section "Files" EndSection Section "Module" EndSection Section "Monitor" Identifier "aticonfig-Monitor[0]-0" Option "VendorName" "ATI Proprietary Driver" Option "ModelName" "Generic Autodetecting Monitor" Option "DPMS" "true" EndSection Section "Device" Identifier "aticonfig-Device[0]-0" Driver "fglrx" BusID "PCI:1:0:0" EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "aticonfig-Screen[0]-0" Device "aticonfig-Device[0]-0" Monitor "aticonfig-Monitor[0]-0" DefaultDepth 24 SubSection "Display" Viewport 0 0 Depth 24 EndSubSection EndSection I have tried using this command from a thread on the Ubuntu Forums with a question similar to mine: sudo aticonfig --initial=dual-head --adapter=all Generated xorg.conf file Section "ServerLayout" Identifier "aticonfig Layout" Screen 0 "aticonfig-Screen[0]-0" 0 0 Screen "aticonfig-Screen[0]-1" RightOf "aticonfig-Screen[0]-0" Screen "aticonfig-Screen[1]-0" RightOf "aticonfig-Screen[0]-1" Screen "aticonfig-Screen[1]-1" RightOf "aticonfig-Screen[1]-0" EndSection Section "Files" EndSection Section "Module" EndSection Section "Monitor" Identifier "aticonfig-Monitor[0]-0" Option "VendorName" "ATI Proprietary Driver" Option "ModelName" "Generic Autodetecting Monitor" Option "DPMS" "true" EndSection Section "Monitor" Identifier "aticonfig-Monitor[0]-1" Option "VendorName" "ATI Proprietary Driver" Option "ModelName" "Generic Autodetecting Monitor" Option "DPMS" "true" EndSection Section "Monitor" Identifier "aticonfig-Monitor[1]-0" Option "VendorName" "ATI Proprietary Driver" Option "ModelName" "Generic Autodetecting Monitor" Option "DPMS" "true" EndSection Section "Monitor" Identifier "aticonfig-Monitor[1]-1" Option "VendorName" "ATI Proprietary Driver" Option "ModelName" "Generic Autodetecting Monitor" Option "DPMS" "true" EndSection Section "Device" Identifier "aticonfig-Device[0]-0" Driver "fglrx" BusID "PCI:1:0:0" EndSection Section "Device" Identifier "aticonfig-Device[0]-1" Driver "fglrx" BusID "PCI:1:0:0" Screen 1 EndSection Section "Device" Identifier "aticonfig-Device[1]-0" Driver "fglrx" BusID "PCI:2:0:0" EndSection Section "Device" Identifier "aticonfig-Device[1]-1" Driver "fglrx" BusID "PCI:2:0:0" Screen 1 EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "aticonfig-Screen[0]-0" Device "aticonfig-Device[0]-0" Monitor "aticonfig-Monitor[0]-0" DefaultDepth 24 SubSection "Display" Viewport 0 0 Depth 24 EndSubSection EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "aticonfig-Screen[0]-1" Device "aticonfig-Device[0]-1" Monitor "aticonfig-Monitor[0]-1" DefaultDepth 24 SubSection "Display" Viewport 0 0 Depth 24 EndSubSection EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "aticonfig-Screen[1]-0" Device "aticonfig-Device[1]-0" Monitor "aticonfig-Monitor[1]-0" DefaultDepth 24 SubSection "Display" Viewport 0 0 Depth 24 EndSubSection EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "aticonfig-Screen[1]-1" Device "aticonfig-Device[1]-1" Monitor "aticonfig-Monitor[1]-1" DefaultDepth 24 SubSection "Display" Viewport 0 0 Depth 24 EndSubSection EndSection This upon reboot renders ALL monitors blank and I have to go into recovery mode and use a failsafe driver. This is so much harder than I thought it would be, I don't think Ubuntu likes ATI for multi (3) monitors or maybe the other way around. Can anyone help still?

  • reading the file name from user input in MIPS assembly

    - by Hassan Al-Jeshi
    I'm writing a MIPS assembly code that will ask the user for the file name and it will produce some statistics about the content of the file. However, when I hard code the file name into a variable from the beginning it works just fine, but when I ask the user to input the file name it does not work. after some debugging, I have discovered that the program adds 0x00 char and 0x0a char (check asciitable.com) at the end of user input in the memory and that's why it does not open the file based on the user input. anyone has any idea about how to get rid of those extra chars, or how to open the file after getting its name from the user?? here is my complete code (it is working fine except for the file name from user thing, and anybody is free to use it for any purpose he/she wants to): .data fin: .ascii "" # filename for input msg0: .asciiz "aaaa" msg1: .asciiz "Please enter the input file name:" msg2: .asciiz "Number of Uppercase Char: " msg3: .asciiz "Number of Lowercase Char: " msg4: .asciiz "Number of Decimal Char: " msg5: .asciiz "Number of Words: " nline: .asciiz "\n" buffer: .asciiz "" .text #----------------------- li $v0, 4 la $a0, msg1 syscall li $v0, 8 la $a0, fin li $a1, 21 syscall jal fileRead #read from file move $s1, $v0 #$t0 = total number of bytes li $t0, 0 # Loop counter li $t1, 0 # Uppercase counter li $t2, 0 # Lowercase counter li $t3, 0 # Decimal counter li $t4, 0 # Words counter loop: bge $t0, $s1, end #if end of file reached OR if there is an error in the file lb $t5, buffer($t0) #load next byte from file jal checkUpper #check for upper case jal checkLower #check for lower case jal checkDecimal #check for decimal jal checkWord #check for words addi $t0, $t0, 1 #increment loop counter j loop end: jal output jal fileClose li $v0, 10 syscall fileRead: # Open file for reading li $v0, 13 # system call for open file la $a0, fin # input file name li $a1, 0 # flag for reading li $a2, 0 # mode is ignored syscall # open a file move $s0, $v0 # save the file descriptor # reading from file just opened li $v0, 14 # system call for reading from file move $a0, $s0 # file descriptor la $a1, buffer # address of buffer from which to read li $a2, 100000 # hardcoded buffer length syscall # read from file jr $ra output: li $v0, 4 la $a0, msg2 syscall li $v0, 1 move $a0, $t1 syscall li $v0, 4 la $a0, nline syscall li $v0, 4 la $a0, msg3 syscall li $v0, 1 move $a0, $t2 syscall li $v0, 4 la $a0, nline syscall li $v0, 4 la $a0, msg4 syscall li $v0, 1 move $a0, $t3 syscall li $v0, 4 la $a0, nline syscall li $v0, 4 la $a0, msg5 syscall addi $t4, $t4, 1 li $v0, 1 move $a0, $t4 syscall jr $ra checkUpper: blt $t5, 0x41, L1 #branch if less than 'A' bgt $t5, 0x5a, L1 #branch if greater than 'Z' addi $t1, $t1, 1 #increment Uppercase counter L1: jr $ra checkLower: blt $t5, 0x61, L2 #branch if less than 'a' bgt $t5, 0x7a, L2 #branch if greater than 'z' addi $t2, $t2, 1 #increment Lowercase counter L2: jr $ra checkDecimal: blt $t5, 0x30, L3 #branch if less than '0' bgt $t5, 0x39, L3 #branch if greater than '9' addi $t3, $t3, 1 #increment Decimal counter L3: jr $ra checkWord: bne $t5, 0x20, L4 #branch if 'space' addi $t4, $t4, 1 #increment words counter L4: jr $ra fileClose: # Close the file li $v0, 16 # system call for close file move $a0, $s0 # file descriptor to close syscall # close file jr $ra Note: I'm using MARS Simulator, if that makes any different

  • JNDI / Classpath problem in glassfish

    - by Michael Borgwardt
    I am in the process of converting a large J2EE app from EJB 2 to EJB 3 (all stateless session beans, using glassfish 2.1.1), and running out of ideas. The first EJB I converted (let's call it Foo) ran without major problems (it was the only one in its ejb-module and I could completely replace the deployment descriptor with annotations) and the app ran fine. But after converting the second one (let's call it Bar, one of several in a different ejb-module) there is a weird combination of problems: The app deploys without errors (nothing in the logs either) There is an error when looking up Bar via JNDI When looking at the JNDI tree in the glassfish admin console, Bar is not present at all. Then when I look at the logs, I see this (Foo is the correct name of the EJB's remote interface of the first converted, previously working EJB): Caused by: javax.naming.NamingException: ejb ref resolution error for remote business interface Foo [Root exception is java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Foo] at com.sun.ejb.EJBUtils.lookupRemote30BusinessObject(EJBUtils.java:425) at com.sun.ejb.containers.RemoteBusinessObjectFactory.getObjectInstance(RemoteBusinessObjectFactory.java:74) at javax.naming.spi.NamingManager.getObjectInstance(NamingManager.java:304) at com.sun.enterprise.naming.SerialContext.lookup(SerialContext.java:414) at com.sun.enterprise.naming.SerialContext.list(SerialContext.java:603) at javax.naming.InitialContext.list(InitialContext.java:395) at com.sun.enterprise.admin.monitor.jndi.JndiMBeanHelper.getJndiEntriesByContextPath(JndiMBeanHelper.java:106) at com.sun.enterprise.admin.monitor.jndi.JndiMBeanImpl.getNames(JndiMBeanImpl.java:231) ... 68 more Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: XXX at org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader.loadClass(WebappClassLoader.java:1578) at com.sun.ejb.EJBUtils.getBusinessIntfClassLoader(EJBUtils.java:679) at com.sun.ejb.EJBUtils.lookupRemote30BusinessObject(EJBUtils.java:348) ... 75 more This is followed by more exceptions for all the entries that (like Foo) do appear in the JNDI tree. These look like this: Caused by: javax.naming.NotContextException: BarHome cannot be listed at com.sun.enterprise.naming.SerialContext.list(SerialContext.java:607) at javax.naming.InitialContext.list(InitialContext.java:395) at com.sun.enterprise.admin.monitor.jndi.JndiMBeanHelper.getJndiEntriesByContextPath(JndiMBeanHelper.java:106) at com.sun.enterprise.admin.monitor.jndi.JndiMBeanImpl.getNames(JndiMBeanImpl.java:231) ... 68 more However, no exception for Bar, it does not appear in the log at all except one entry during deployment. The other EJBs in the same module do appear, as does Foo. Any ideas what could cause this or how to diagnose it further? The beans are pretty straightforward: @Stateless(name = "Foo") @RolesAllowed("FOOUSER") @TransactionAttribute(TransactionAttributeType.SUPPORTS) public class FooImpl extends BaseBean implements Foo { I'm also having some problems with the deployment descriptor for Bar (I'd like to eliminate it, but glassfish doesn't seem to like having a bean appear only in sun-ejb-jar.xml, or having some beans in a module declared in the descriptor and others use only annotations), but I can't see how that could cause the ClassNotFoundException on Foo. Is there a way to see the ClassPath that Glassfish is actually using?

  • How can I pre-authorize authopen?

    - by Georg
    I'm using authopen inside one of my programs to modify files owned by root. As can be seen in the screenshot below authopen asks for a admin password. What I'd like to achieve is that the dialog shows my app's name and then passes the authorization to authopen. Code Launching authopen which returns an authorized file descriptor. int pipe[2]; socketpair(AF_UNIX, SOCK_STREAM, 0, pipe); if (fork() == 0) { // child // close parent's pipe close(pipe[0]); dup2(pipe[1], STDOUT_FILENO); const char *authopenPath = "/usr/libexec/authopen"; execl(authopenPath, authopenPath, "-stdoutpipe", [self.device.devicePath fileSystemRepresentation], NULL); NSLog(@"Fatal error, quitting."); exit(-1); } // parent // close childs's pipe close(pipe[1]); // get file descriptor through sockets I'd really like not to use AuthorizationExecuteWithPrivileges because then I'd have to get more rights than I want to.

  • NUnit / Testdriven.Net conflicting results.

    - by panamack
    When I run this test in NUnit = Red Bar. [Test] public void ChangingValueViaPropertyDescriptorRaisesPropertyChangedNotification() { PropertyChangedEventArgs pCEventArgs = null; subjectVM.PropertyChanged += (sender, e) => { pCEventArgs = e; }; PropertyDescriptor descriptor = subjectVM.GetProperties().Find(schoolMeta.Name, false); descriptor.SetValue(null, "School's out for summer."); Assert.IsNotNull(pCEventArgs); Assert.AreEqual("School", pCEventArgs.PropertyName); } However, when I run this test from within Visual Studio with Test Driven .Net it passes. When it fails with NUnit it's because PropertyChanged is null, subjectVM is a View Model classes that inherits PropertyChanged from a base class. Am I to blame, or am I looking at a NUnit bug?

  • problem with closing sockets

    - by Samantha
    Hi, I'm trying to write a client/server program with threads. I close the socket once the connexion is finished. The servers gets plenty of new connexions, and the socket number (file descriptor) increases very quickly: after 5 minutes running I was already at around file descriptor number 800! Is this a normal thing? Do threads share file descriptors? When I do close(sockfd); is the number released immediatly or after a some time? PS: I used to do with fork(), and I didn't have this issue. Thanks

  • JNI: Passing multiple parameters in the function signature for GetMethodID

    - by Jary
    I am trying to execute a function in Java (from C) that has the following signature: public void execute(int x, int y, int action); My problem is to define the function signature in GetMethodID: env->GetMethodID(hostClass, "execute", "(I;I;I;)V"); The problem I ma getting is: W/dalvikvm( 1849): Bogus method descriptor: (I;I;I;)V W/dalvikvm( 1849): Bogus method descriptor: (I;I;I;)V D/dalvikvm( 1849): GetMethodID: method not found: Lcom/device/client/HostConnection;.execute:(I;I;I;)V I am not sure how to specify the method signature in GetMethodID (for 3 integers as parameters). I saw people use the ";" to separate parameters in other posts for the String and File class, but nothing with primitives like integer. What would be the correct way to do this please? Thank you.

  • [c++] How to create a std::ofstream to a temp file?

    - by dehmann
    Okay, mkstemp is the preferred way to create a temp file in POSIX. But it opens the file and returns an int, which is a file descriptor. From that I can only create a FILE*, but not an std::ofstream, which I would prefer in C++. (Apparently, on AIX and some other systems, you can create an std::ofstream from a file descriptor, but my compiler complains when I try that.) I know I could get a temp file name with tmpnam and then open my own ofstream with it, but that's apparently unsafe due to race conditions, and results in a compiler warning (g++ v3.4. on Linux): warning: the use of `tmpnam' is dangerous, better use `mkstemp' So, is there any portable way to create an std::ofstream to a temp file?

  • How to store Hierarchical K-Means tree for a large number of images, using Opencv?

    - by AquaAsh
    I am trying to make a program that will find similar images from a dataset of images. The steps are 1)extract SURF descriptors for all images 2)store the descriptors 3)Apply knn on the stored descriptors 4)Match the stored descriptors to the query image descriptor using KNN Now each images SURF descriptor will be stored as Hierarchical k means tree, now do I store each tree as a separate file or is it possible to build some sort of single tree with all the images descriptors and updated as images are added to dataset. This is the paper I am basing the program on www.ijest.info/docs/IJEST10-02-03-13.pdf.

  • MSDN Remark regards Security Descriptors

    - by Doori Bar
    I'm trying to extract and restore a Security Descriptor of a NTFS file, via Windows API - XP SP3, I'm trying to understand which functions are actually able to do it properly, but I simply fail. I found this Remark over MSDN: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa379573%28VS.85%29.aspx "Some SECURITY_INFORMATION members work only with the SetNamedSecurityInfo function. These members are not returned in the structure returned by other security functions such as GetNamedSecurityInfo..." "Some members..." Which members? Why? "Other Security functions such as..." Which functions? Why? Anybody have any experience with extracting and restoring a security descriptor of a NTFS file? Thanks in advance, Doori Bar
