    I've got an excel spreadsheet where I would normally use a VLOOKUP. In this case I need to find the ID of the record when comparing email addresses, so the email address is the unique id here. For example on sheet 1 A B C D Person Id | Family Name | First Name | Email #N/A | Doe | John | [email protected] On Sheet 2 A B C D Person Id | Family Name | First Name | Email 12345 | Doe | John | [email protected] Basically on sheet 1 I've got 800 records, on sheet 2 450. I know the 450 are in Sheet 1, so I need to find the ids of those, and put them on sheet 1 where I've got lots more data for each person. What I've tried so far is a VLOOKUP, but I keep getting an error. I'd like to do it with some sort of formula and not using any copy paste and remove duplicates. Any ideas?

I installed a second server (MySQL 5.5.15-community) to see if the new version of MySQL would work with my application before upgrading. When I run the application against the new server it behaves different. When I run it against the old server (MySQL 5.1.47-community) everything works perfect. I remember that I set some parameters through the MySQL prompt to accept larger result set and some other stuff, now I can't remember what I did. So my question is: Is there a way to transfer all the MySQL settings from one server to another? Thanks.

    With pure SQL - how to do it? I doubt it is possible, since even the SQL Management Studio fails to show the size of such a database in the UI. Already tried: exec sp_helpdb 'DbInRecMode' ...won't show anything; exec sys.sp_helpfile 'DbInRecMode' ... something like file not found (Msg 15325) Main pitfall seems to be the issue, that select * from DbInRecMode.dbo.sysfiles won't work when the database is in restoring mode. Any ideas?

    Here is what happened: At first, I upgraded Mozilla Firefox browser to it's latest version. Then, I realized that all my bookmarks in Google Chrome were gone. In my panic, I imported the bookmarks of Firefox to Google Chrome just in case they were transferred, but they weren't. Then, I searched over my computer to find the bookmarks location of Chrome and I found the two relevant files Bookmarks Bookmarks.bak but they were updated too. What else can I do to restore my bookmarks?

    Im trying to keep away some attackers that try to exploit XSS vulnerabilities from my website, I have found that most of the malicious attempts start with a classic "alert(document.cookie);\" test. The site is not vulnerable to XSS but I want to block the offending IP addresses before they found a real vulnerability, also, to keep the logs clean. My first thought is to have a script constantly checking in the Apache logs all IP addresses that start with that probe and send those addresses to an iptables drop rule. With something like this: cat /var/log/httpd/-access_log | grep "alert(document.cookie);" | awk '{print $1}' | uniq Why would be an effective way to send the output of that command to iptables?   • puppet agent doesn't retrieve files from master

    I have a very basic question regarding to Puppet 3.0.1 configuration. I setup a puppet master server (CentOS) with 2 agents (CentOS and Windows 7), all 3 can ping and access each other. There is no error at all. I have copied a file under /etc/puppet/files/test2.txt my site.pp (/etc/puppet/manifests) contains these lines: node default { include test file { "/tmp/testmaster.txt": owner => root, group => root, mode => 644, source => "puppet:///files/test2.txt" } } but there will no file be created on agent servers under /tmp/ once I run "puppet agent --test" here is the output: [root@agent1 ~]# puppet agent --test Info: Retrieving plugin Info: Caching catalog for agent1.mydomain.com Info: Applying configuration version '1354267916' Finished catalog run in 0.02 seconds "puppet apply /etc/puppet/manifests/site.pp" creates the testmaster.txt under /tmp/ on master.

    I need a Generic function to retrieve the name or value of an enum based on the XmlEnumAttribute "Name" property of the enum. For example I have the following enum defined: Public Enum Currency <XmlEnum("00")> CDN = 1 <XmlEnum("01")> USA= 2 <XmlEnum("02")> EUR= 3 <XmlEnum("03")> JPN= 4 End Enum The first Currency enum value is 1; the enum name is "CDN"; and the XMLEnumAttribute Name property value is "00". Just as useful would be a function that would return the enum name "CDN". I could then simply parse this to get the enum value. Any assistance would be appreciated.

The map is shown through a QWebView loading a simple HTML page and the user can create markers by clicking.   • Best way to store list of numbers and to retrieve them

    Hi. What is the best way to store a list of random numbers (like lotto/bingo numbers) and retrieve them? I'd like to store on a Database a number of rows, where each row contains 5-10 numbers ranging from 0 to 90. I will store a big number of those rows. What I'd like to be able is to retrieve the rows that have at least X number in common to a newly generated row. Example: [3,4,33,67,85,99] [55,56,77,89,98,99] [3,4,23,47,85,91] Those are on the DB I will generate this: [1,2,11,45,47,88] and now I want to get the rows that have at least 1 number in common with this one. The easiest (and dumbest?) way is to make 6 select and check for similar results. I thought to store numbers with a large binary string like 000000000000000000000100000000010010110000000000000000000000000 with 99 numbers where each number represent a number from 1 to 99, so if I have 1 at the 44th position, it means that I have 44 on that row. This method is probably shifting the difficult tasks to the Db but it's again not very smart. Any suggestion?

    For each item in my application's settings, I've added text to its Description Property which I want to retrieve at runtime. I'm sure I'm missing some basic logical nuance here, but everything I've tried has failed. Clearly, my understanding of what value needs to be passed to the Attributes property of the SettingsProperty class is wrong. I'm further confused by the fact that when I iterate through all they keys returned by SettingsProperty.Attributes.Keys, I can see "System.Configuration.SettingsDescriptionAttribute", but when I pass that string in as the key to the Attributes property, null is returned. Any insight into how to properly retrieve the value Description Property would be very much appreciated. Is this the way to retrieve the values or am I doing something wrong? And I cannot use html control because all other controls on the form are server controls and I am not sure if I can only make this control a html control. And I am not sure how can I bind the values to it?

    This question was inspired by this question. I had the same problem, updating a MultiIndex DataFrame by selection. The drop_level=False solution in Pandas 0.13 will allow me to achieve the same result, but I am still wondering why I cannot get a view from the MultiIndex DataFrame. In other words, why does this not work?: >>> sat = d.xs('sat', level='day', copy=False) Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> File "C:\Python27\lib\site-packages\pandas\core\frame.py", line 2248, in xs raise ValueError('Cannot retrieve view (copy=False)') ValueError: Cannot retrieve view (copy=False) Of course it could be only because it is not implemented, but is there a reason? Is it somehow ambiguous or impossible to implement? Returning a view is more intuitive to me than returning a copy then later updating the original. I looked through the source and it seems this situation is checked explicitly to raise an error. Alternatively, is it possible to get the same sort of view from any of the other indexing methods? I've experimented but have not been successful. [edit] Some potential implementations are discussed here. I guess with the last question above I'm wondering what the current best solution is to index into arbitrary multiindex slices and cross-sections.

    hello :) I posted a question a day or two ago about how to retrieve php via ajax method in this modal I was using. I kinda found out the right way to go about it, but there's still something I'm not doing right (obviously lol) Here's the section thats giving me the issues: jQuery('div that holds content').fadeIn(200).css({ 'width': Number( popWidth ) }); $('').load('/something/somewhere/this #content'); So, im using safari, and a local server (mamp), when I check activity in my browser, it shows that it is loading the content with every click, AND the pop up pops up, but no content. When I simply retrieve content via hidden div, ofcourse, i get it. This is what I'm trying to avoid. right now I have that div in my footer stashed as hidden. I'd rather just make a call when its needed, instead of loading it every single time a page is accessed. you can go here to see the whole script i posted in my last question: How to use ajax to show php in a modal pop up Anyone have any idea? I read that .load() has the ability to grab specific content from a request, but im not sure the major difference between that and $.get() I've tried both, and I get the same results. Expression: ${environment::get-variable('MAIN_PROJECT_PATH')} ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Environment variable "MAIN_PROJECT_PATH" does not exist.
