  • Silverlight: TextBlock has no Template property?

    Guys, I want to customize the look of a TextBlock. (I want a rounded rectangle border around it). But I'd like to be able to set it's template via the app.xaml But I see that TextBlock doesn't have a Template property. I'd use Label (which does have a Template property) but I guess silverlight doesn't support a Label control. So what can I use to do this? Thanks in advance.

  • Why does /**[newline] not always insert the Javadoc template including @param and @return in Eclipse

    I'm documenting code in Eclipse and have been using the /** followed by Enter alot to insert the Javadoc template. However this does not always work for some reason, it will create the template for writing comments but it won't automatically insert the @param and @return text. If I copy the exact same method to another class it will insert the full template. It would be a big help if anyone could tell me why it won't do this in some situations.

    I'm looking for a template engine. Requirements: Runs on a JVM. Java is good; Jython, JRuby and the like, too... Can be used outside of servlets (unlike JSP) Is flexible wrt. to where the templates are stored (JSP and a lot of people require the templates to be stored in the FS). It should provide a template loading interface which one can implement or something like that Easy inclusion of parameterized templates- I really like JSP's tag fragments Good docs, nice code, etc., the usual suspects I've looked at JSP- it's nearly perfect except for the servlet and filesystem coupling, Stringtemplate- I love the template syntax, but it fails on the filesystem coupling, the documentation is lacking and template groups and stuff are confusing, GXP, TAL, etc. Ideas, thoughts?     I am working on playing with some Python to create a webapp. At first I put the HTML in a string, using %s to fill certain elements. That all worked perfectly. Now I want to put the HTML in a template, so I followed this tutorial. My code looks like this (I deleted irrelevant code for this error): import codecs import cgi import os import jinja2 jinja_environment = jinja2.Environment(loader=jinja2.FileSystemLoader(os.path.join(os.path.dirname(__file__)))) class Rot13Handler(webapp2.RequestHandler): def get(self): template = jinja_environment.get_template('rot13.html') self.response.out.write(template.render({'text': ''})) When I replace just template.render({'text': ''}) a random string, the program works fine. I did add the latest jinja2 library to my app.yaml, and naturally my rot13.html does exist with the {{ text }} added. So could anyone please help me in the right direction? I don't know why it's going wrong.

    I'm using Django's templating on appengine, and am having a problem whereby a class I'm importing from another package is not correctly being made available to the template context. Broadly speaking, this is the code. The prop1 is not available in the template in the first example below, but is in the second. MyClass is identical in both cases. This does not work: from module import MyClass context = MyClass() self.response.out.write(template.render(path, context)) This does: class MyClass(object): def __init__(self): self.prop1 = "prop1" context = MyClass() self.response.out.write(template.render(path, context)) If I log the context in the above code I get: <module.MyClass object at 0x107b1e450> when it's imported, and: <__main__.MyClass object at 0x103759390> when it's defined in the same file. Any clues as to what might cause this kind of behaviour?

    Sorry for the vague title, but I'm not sure what this is called. Say I add IDisposable to my class, Visual Studio can create the method stub for me. But it creates the stub like: void IDisposable.Dispose() I don't follow what this syntax is doing. Why do it like this instead of public void Dispose()? And with the first syntax, I couldn't work out how to call Dispose() from within my class (in my destructor).

    I was trying to understand how webkit parses urls, and I'm having a hard time making heads or tails of this: Vector<char, 4096> buffer(fragmentEnd * 3 + 1); This line is on line 1214 (you can see it here: http://trac.webkit.org/browser/trunk/WebCore/platform/KURL.cpp#L1214). I get that it's making a vector of type char, with each entry being an array of char 4096 bytes large, but I don't get the buffer(fragmentEnd * 3 + 1) part. I think that it confuses me most b/c I can't find where the buffer variable is instantiated anywhere (shouldn't it be something more like Vector<char, 4096> buffer = new Vector<char, 4096>(...)?   • Django: common template subsections

    What's a good way to handle commonly occurring subsections of templates? For example, there is a sub-header section that's used across 4 different pages. The pages are different enough to not work well with template inheritance (ie. "extends" doesn't fit well). Is "include" the recommended method here? It feels a bit heavyweight, requiring each subsection or snippet to be in its own file. Are there any performance issues in using include or is it smart about forming template from the subsections (ie. if I make extensive use of it, do I pay any penalties)? I think what I'm looking for is something like template tags, but without the programming - a simple way to create a library of html template tags I can sprinkle in other templates.

  • vb.net project template how can I leave the root namesapce empty

    I have been tinkering with the VS 2010 template. So far I am able to create a vb.net class library project from my template. However, one small thing is bugging me. In my project template the default assembly name is the same as the default file name. I have left the root namespace empty. But when I create a new project from the template, VS 2010 automatically fills the root namespace with the same name as my assembly name. My template project (vbproj) for the assembly name and root namespace looks like this: <AssemblyName>$safeprojectname$</AssemblyName> <!-- RootNameSpace should always be empty. --> <RootNamespace></RootNamespace> But as said, when I leave this empty it is always overwritten with the assembly name. Even if I create a custom parameter with an empty string as value to replace the root namespace, it is still overridden. Any help is appreciated.

However, Eclipse autoformats it after inserting to: try { Thread.sleep(1000); } catch (Exception e) { } I have tried @formatter:off, but that does not work. I have code cleanup switched off. Is there any way to disable formatting for all templates, since the only templates I use are one-liners anyway?

This means that BaseVisited::accept() takes a template class as a parameter and since it uses 'this' and i need 'this' to point to the correct runtime instance of the object, it also needs to be virtual.
