    I'm trying to map a many-to-one relationship from MarketMenuBranch to Market.   • Compression Program in C

    I want to compress a series of characters. For example if i type Input : FFFFFBBBBBBBCCBBBAABBGGGGGSSS (27 x 8 bits = 216 bits) Output: F5B7C2B3A2B2G5S3 (14 x 8 bits = 112bits) So far this is what i have, i can count the number of Characters in the Array. But the most important task is to count them in the same sequence. I can't seem to figure that out :( Ive stared doing C just a few weeks back, i have knowledge on Array, pointers, ASCII value but in any case can't seem to count these characters in a sequence. Ive try a bit of everything.   • Comparing C++ input with array values

    Hey everyone, Over the last couple months I've still been slowly but surely trudging through C++, and I've run into a snag that I've been meaning to figure out. I've tried asking/reading/searching, but I could never find an appropriate answer. Maybe it is simply because the question is sort of difficult to ask. What I'm trying to do is at the end of my program, have the end sequence compare the input value with values within an Array. Do I have to loop a comparison sequence?     Using regular expressions in .NET with the pattern ^%[^%]+%\Z and the string "few)few%" I get the error - System.ArgumentException: parsing "few)few%" - Too many )'s. Dim match As System.Text.RegularExpressions.Match = System.Text.RegularExpressions.Regex.Match("^%[^%]+%\Z", "few)few%") What would the issue be? Do I need to escape brackets in any input expression to reg ex? (I'm trying the determine if string has the wildcard % at the beginning and end of the string but not elsewhere in the string)

  • Error 0x800f0922 installing .NET 3.5 on Windows 8

    I'm trying to install .NET 3.5 on my Windows 8 box and it keeps throwing Error 0x800f0922 at me. From what I've read on answers.microsoft.com and StackOverflow I gather the easiest way to fix this is to perform a system refresh, however this will remove all software I've installed from discs. I've just moved house, so I'd rather not do that as I don't know where all the installation media actually are for a lot of my software, so if possible I'd prefer to track down where the problem is actually occurring. (Also, I have a LOT of software installed. It'd take me a long time to reinstall it all, and I unfortunately haven't got that time.) The on-demand error screen sends me to KB2734782 (can't link it as I'm <10 rep), which doesn't help much.   • Export from EndNote into MySQL database

    I would like to export some records from an EndNote (reference management software) library and import into a MySQL database. Does anyone have any experience with this? I've tried creating custom EndNote "output styles" containing either comma-delimited values or even SQL code, but have had mixed results, either because EndNote filters out some characters (like `) or because EndNote doesn't (or I can't work out how to make it) escape text, which might include characters like ' and ". I realize this might be a bit off-topic but any help would be appreciated.

My encoded characters (come from a RSS feed, btw) look like this: &#038; I searched all over the net and found related discussions, but no fix for my particular encoding, I think they are called hexadecimal characters.     I found my problem here, but there is only an answer for Python 2.6. Basically, I need to unescape strings such as this: 'a altieri_joão' to show the proper characters. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/990169/how-do-convert-unicode-escape-sequences-to-unicode-characters-in-a-python-string I need to do this in 3.1, but when I try print (u'a altieri_jo&#xe3;o') if gives me invalid syntax. And when I try name.decode('latin-1') it says 'str' has no method 'decode'.

  • MDT 2012 Image Capture

    I am using MDT 2012 Update 1. Attempting to Deploy 2012 DC to a VM, run windows updates, and then sysprep/capture that image. This is the same task sequence process I have used for Windows 7 / 2008 R2 and it works fine. However, for 2012 DC it deploys the image, starts running/installing updates and then on reboot it goes to a "Choose an option" screen if I choose "Exit and continue to Windows Server 2012" it reboots and goes back to same screen. Any ideas?

When I search for field:"MY_VALUE" however, the query is parsed as field:"my value" Is there a simple way to escape the underscore (_) character so that it will search for it?

Previously i needed to write the sharp symbol for C#....c$\sharp$ it also looks like crap but with a escape character it looks nice, for the plus sign i can't do the same.

The only two problems I see are: Potentially large call stack, since calculating Fibonacci<2 requires we go through TableMax all the way to 2, and: If the value is outside of the table, it returns zero as opposed to calculating it. So is there something I am missing? It seems there should be a better way to pick out these values at runtime. A template metaprogramming version of a switch statement perhaps, that generates a switch statement up to a certain number? Thanks in advance.

    How do I have a powershell script embedded within the same file as a DOS batch script? I know this kind of thing is possible in other scenarios: Embedding SQL in a DOS batch script using sqlcmd and a clever arrangements of goto's and comments at the beginning of the file In a *nix environment having a the name of the program you wish to run the script with on the first line of the script commented out e.g. #!/usr/local/bin/python There may not be a way to do this - in which case I will have to call the separate powershell script from the launching DOS script. One possible solution I've considered is to echo out the powershell script, and then run it. A good reason to not do this is that part of the reason to attempt this is to be using the advantages of the powershell environment without the pain of, for example, DOS escape characters I have some unusual constraints and would like to find an elegant solution. I suspect this question may be baiting responses of the variety: "why don't you try and solve this different problem instead." Suffice to say these are my constraints, sorry about that. Any ideas? Is there a suitable combination of clever comments and escape characters that will enable me to achieve this? Some thoughts on how to achieve this: A carat ^ at the end of a line in DOS is a continuation - like an underscore in VB An ampersand & in DOS typically is used to separate commands echo Hello & echo World results in 2 echos on separate lines %0 will give you the script that's currently running So something like this (if I could make it work) would be good: # & call powershell -psconsolefile %0 # & goto :EOF /* From here on in we're running nice juicy powershell code */ Write-Output "Hello World" Except... It doesn't work... because the extension of the file isn't as per powershell's liking: Windows PowerShell console file "insideout.bat" extension is not psc1. Windows PowerShell console file extension must be psc1. DOS isn't really altogether happy with the situation either - although it does stumble on '#' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

    I have text that has these fancy double quotes: '“' and I would like to replace them with regular double quotes using Ruby gsub and regex. Here's an example and what I have so far: sentence = 'This is a quote, “Hey guys!”' I couldn't figure out how to escape double quotes so I tried using 34.chr: sentence.gsub("“",34.chr). This gets me close but leaves a back slash in front of the double quote: sentence.gsub("“",34.chr) => 'This is a quote, \"Hey guys!”'

    I am having a similar problem as http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1799684/ant-basedir-slashes-escape-problem except that I'm running under Maven. I'd like to generate cross-platform paths relative to Maven's built-in property ${basedir}. The problem is that under Windows, ${basedir} resolves to a path containing Windows-style slashes. Is there an easy way for me to get ${basedir} into a form that always uses Unix-style slashes even under Windows?

  • Odd behavior in Django Form (readonly field/widget)

    I'm having a problem with a test app I'm writing to verify some Django functionality. The test app is a small "grade book" application that is currently using Alex Gaynor's readonly field functionality http://lazypython.blogspot.com/2008/12/building-read-only-field-in-django.html There are 2 problems which may be related. First, when I flop the comment on these 2 lines below: # myform = GradeForm(data=request.POST, instance=mygrade) myform = GradeROForm(data=request.POST, instance=mygrade) it works like I expect, except of course that the student field is changeable. When the comments are the shown way, the "studentId" field is displayed as a number (not the name, problem 1) and when I hit submit I get an error saying that studentId needs to be a Student instance. I'm at a loss as to how to fix this. I'm not wedded to Alex Gaynor's code. ANY code will work.
