    I'm going to assume that the overall structure of my code as it currently stands is 'best', otherwise this question gets too long, but if I've made any obvious mistakes (or if I've made life hard for myself) then please correct away! Using jQuery, I have a javascript 'class' set out something like this: function MyClass () { this.noise = "Woof" this.dostuff = function() { $.getJSON("http://cows.go",function(moo) { this.noise = moo.inEnglish; } } } var instance = new MyClass(); instance.doStuff() console.log(instance.noise) I'm expecting some kinda tea drinking moo in the console, but of course I'm getting an error about this.noise not being defined (because $.getJSON doesn't pass this through, right?) Any suggestions as to how to be able to affect instance.squeak for any and all instances of MyClass without interference?

The error occurred while evaluating nil.url_for) on line #5 of app/views/sitemap/_sitemap.builder: I assume this means that ActionController::UrlWriter is not included in the right place, but I really don't know

One thing I've just realised that may be relevant - if I use an a instead of button, it works fine.

    I'm encountering this error: groovy.lang.MissingPropertyException: No such property: log for class: org.utils.MyClass Here's the content of the class: package org.utils class MyClass { int organizationCount = 0 public int getOrganizationCount(){ log.debug "There are ${organizationCount} organization(s) found." return organizationCount } } Do i need to add an import statement? What do i need to add? Note that the class is located in src/groovy/org/utils. I know that the 'log' variable is accessible in controllers, services, etc. Not sure in 'src' classes. Thanks.

  • Jquery cant get facebox working inside ajax call

    From my main page I call an ajax file via jquery, in that ajax file is some additional jquery code. Original link looks like this: <a href="/page1.php" class="guest-action notify-function"><img src="/icon1.png"></a> Then the code: $(document).ready(function(){ $('a[rel*=facebox]').facebox(); $('.guest-action').click( function() { $.get( $(this).attr('href'), function(responseText) { $.jGrowl(responseText); }); return false; }); $('.notify-function').click( function() { $(this).find('img').attr('src','/icon2.png'); $(this).attr('href','/page2.php'); $(this).removeClass('guest-action').removeClass('notify-function').attr('rel','facebox'); }); }); So basically after notify-function is clicked I am changing the icon and the url of the link, I then am removing the classes so that the click wont be ran again and add rel="facebox" to the link so that the facebox window will pop up if they try to click the new icon2.png that shows up. The problem is after I click the initial icon everything works just fine except when I try to click the new icon2.png it still executes the jgrowl code from the guest-action. But when I view the source it shows this: <a href="/page2.php" rel="facebox" class=""><img src="/icon2.png"></a> So it seemed that should work right? What am I doing wrong? I tried adding the facebox code to the main page that is calling the ajax file as well and still same issue.

  • UIDatePicker inside UIScrollView with pages

    I have a UIScrollView with 2 pages, and I can scroll horizontally between them. However, on one of my pages, I have a UIDatePicker, and the scroll view is intercepting the vertical touch events so I can no longer manipulate the date picker (except by clicking or tapping). Is there some way to tell the ScrollView to send the vertical touch events to the date picker, but send the horizontal touch events to the scroll view to switch pages?

I have tried a number of patterns and different ways of running them but with no luck.     During the implementation of the move constructor of a toy class, I noticed a pattern: array2D(array2D&& that) { data_ = that.data_; that.data_ = 0; height_ = that.height_; that.height_ = 0; width_ = that.width_; that.width_ = 0; size_ = that.size_; that.size_ = 0; } The pattern obviously being: member = that.member; that.member = 0; So I wrote a preprocessor macro to make stealing less verbose and error-prone: #define STEAL(member) member = that.member; that.member = 0; Now the implementation looks as following: array2D(array2D&& that) { STEAL(data_); STEAL(height_); STEAL(width_); STEAL(size_); } Are there any downsides to this? Is there a cleaner solution that does not require the preprocessor?

    Hello everyone I have an UIAlertView with a textfield that shows a default value and two buttons, one to cancel and the other one to confirm. I have used the android attribute "android:descendantFocusability="blocksDescendants"" on my parent LinearLayout so that the ListView items are still selectable. The problem I am having is that when clicking the part of the ListView item which is the HorizontalScrollView, the ListView item click event is not called. How can I get the click event of the HorizontalScrollView to call the ListView list item click event?

  • Components inside a repeater not resizing as expected

    I have an mxml panel in which I'm using a repeater. The panel can be resized horizontally and I would like for the repeated components to resize together with panel. Here is a simplified example of how things look like: <mx:TitleWindow xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="vertical" ...> <!-- scripts and some controls --> <mx:VBox width="100%"> <core:Repeater width="100%" dataProvider="model"> <ns1:MyItemRenderer width="100%" /> </core:Repeater> </mx:VBox> </mx:TitleWindow> When I resize the component, the width of the repeated items does not change. There also buttons and event handlers, which add and remove items from the model. When this is done, the repeater updates to display the correct number of items and all the items are resized correctly. I have not been able to get the items to resize when the root panel is resized. I can see, that the VBOx around the repeater is getting a resize event. However, the repeated items are not getting the event. I tried to dispatch a resize event to the repeated items manually from a resize handler I hooked up to the VBox but that didn't help. I also tried adding and removing a dummy-item from the ArrayCollection which is the dataProvider (because that triggers a correct resize otherwise as mentioned above) However, doing this in the resize handler of the VBox just leads to the repeater not showing any items at all. Is there any way to get items in a repeater to resize with their enclosing container?

Some of the "stuff" is causing the color picker to appear well below the link when clicked. How can I position "div 1" directly beneath "link 1" without removing position: relative;?

    Suppose I want to open a file in an existing Emacs session using su or sudo, without dropping down to a shell and doing sudoedit or sudo emacs. One way to do this is (require 'tramp) C-c C-f /sudo::/path/to/file but this requires an expensive round-trip through SSH. Is there a more direct way? [EDIT] @JBB is right. I want to be able to invoke su/sudo to save as well as open. It would be OK (but not ideal) to re-authorize when saving. What I'm looking for is variations of find-file and save-buffer that can be "piped" through su/sudo.

    Hi all. I have a rectangle in .NET in which I draw an ellipse. I know the width, height and center point of that rectangle. Ofcourse the cetner point of the rectangle is also the center point of the ellipse. I know how to calculate a point on a circle, however I have no clue about an ellipse. I have those parameters and an angle, i need the point on the ellipse, can someone post the formula? I saw somewhere you need to calculate 2 points in which 2 raduises will go, the sum of the radiuses will be fixed and they will change in size accordingly. I dont know how to do that, I only have the rectange height, width and center point and ofcourse the angle I wish to find the point at. thanks for any help Shlomi

    As per my understanding a lock is not released until the runtime completes the code block of the lock(obj) ( because when the block completes it calls Monitor.Exit(obj).     I have a table with a bunch of cells. (No way! Amazing! :P) Some of the cells have a small div that when you put your mouse over, it gets bigger so you can read all the text. This works well and all. However, since html elements that come later in the document have a higher z-index, when the div gets bigger it is underneath the other divs in the other cells. It's like z-index has no affect. I think it has something to do with the table. I've tested this in FF3. When I'm feeling particularly macho, I'll test it in IE.

    Imagine I've got the following in a text file opened under Emacs: some 34 word 30 another 38 thing 59 to 39 say 10 here 47 and I want to turn into this, adding 1 to every number made of 2 digits: some 35 word 31 another 39 thing 60 to 40 say 11 here 48 (this is a short example, my actual need is on a much bigger list, not my call) How can I do this from Emacs? I don't mind calling some external Perl/sed/whatever magic as long as the call is made directly from Emacs and operates only on the marked region I want. How would you automate this from Emacs? I think the answer I'm thinking of consist in calling shell-command-on-region and replace the region by the output... But I'm not sure as to how to concretely do this.
