  • Robocopy for Windows 2003 doesn't support /DST option

    Does anyone know if it is possible to download the latest robocopy for Windows 2003. The latest version provides the /DST option which ignores time stamps changed due to BST (British Summer Time). Every time we do a build and sync our servers when we go +1/-1 hour it takes hours instead of minutes because it sees everything as changed. I noticed it is included automatically with Vista/Win7 but the Resource toolkit that I downloaded doesn't include a new version of robocopy for Win Server 2003. If there is a place to download it from & will it also work on Windows Server 2003? Thanks.

  • Fast way to perform addition of 2 LARGE float arrays in Android. Optional JNI or Opengl ES

    I simply need to add floatArray1 to floatArray2 storing the result in floatArray2.. no third array.. all arrays are one dimensional but are very large... probibly as large as the os will let me get away with. Max i would need is two float arrays with 40,000 floats each... but i could get away with 1/10th that i suppose minimum. Would love to do this in 1/30th or 1/60th of a second but that does not seem possible? Also if the code is JNI,NDK or OpenGL ES thats fine.. does android have an assembly language or like machine code i could use somehow?

  • NHibernate - get List<long> representing primary keys?

    I have a situation where I definitely don't want to get the whole domain object. Basically, the entity has a primary key of long (.NET)/bigint(sql server 2005). I simply need to pass the primary key to an external system which will access the database directly - and since the list of ids could be large, I don't want to rehydrate the entire domain object just to get the Id. In linq2sql, I could accomplish this with a projection, but I am restricted to NHibernate 1.2.1.4000, which doesn't support Linq. Is there a way to accomplish this using NHibernate 1.2.1.4000? (I am open to using a named-query if that will work)

  • How can I check that I didn't break anything when refactoring?

    I'm about to embark on a bout of refactoring of some functions in my code. I have a nice amount of unit tests that will ensure I didn't break anything, but I'm not sure about the coverage they give me. Are there any tools that can analyze the code and see that the functionality remains the same? I plan to refactor some rather isolated code, so I don't need to check the entire program, just the areas that I'm working on. For context, the code I'm working on is in C/C++, and I work in Linux with GCC and VIM.

I've successfully converted a big part of my application, but I'm still getting an error with the int(the interrupts).   • How do I use .htaccess to redirect to a URL containing HTTP_HOST?

    Problem I need to redirect some short convenience URLs to longer actual URLs. The site in question uses a set of subdomains to identify a set of development or live versions. I would like the URL to which certain requests are redirected to include the HTTP_HOST such that I don't have to create a custom .htaccess file for each host. Host-specific Example (snipped from .htaccess file) Redirect /terms http://support.dev01.example.com/articles/terms/ This example works fine for the development version running at dev01.example.com. If I use the same line in the main .htaccess file for the development version running under dev02.example.com I'd end up being redirected to the wrong place. Ideal rule (not sure of the correct syntax) Redirect /terms http://support.{HTTP_HOST}/articles/terms/ This rule does not work and merely serves as an example of what I'd like to achieve. I could then use the exact same rule under many different hosts and get the correct result. Answers? Can this be done with mod_alias or does it require the more complex mod_rewrite? How can this be achieved using mod_alias or mod_rewrite? I'd prefer a mod_alias solution if possible. Clarifications I'm not staying on the same server. I'd like: http://example.com/terms/ - http://support.example.com/articles/terms/ https://secure.example.com/terms/ - http://support.example.com/articles/terms/ http://dev.example.com/terms/ - http://support.dev.example.com/articles/terms/ https://secure.dev.example.com/terms/ - http://support.dev.example.com/articles/terms/ I'd like to be able to use the same rule in the .htaccess file on both example.com and dev.example.com. In this situation I'd need to be able to refer to the HTTP_HOST as a variable rather than specifying it literally in the URL to which requests are redirected.   • Recursive QuickSort suffering a StackOverflowException -- Need fresh eyes

    I am working on a Recursive QuickSort method implementation in a GenericList Class. I will have a second method that accepts a compareDelegate to compare different types, but for development purposes I'm sorting a GenericList<int I am recieving stackoverflow areas in different places depending on the list size. I've been staring at and tracing through this code for hours and probably just need a fresh pair of (more experienced)eyes.   • Authkit - deferring action to HTTP response to client application

    Form, Redirect and Forward all send an unauthenticated user to a Form on a login page specified within an Authkit middleware application. I'd like to allow a client application to request a service via XHR and then present a custom 'client side' form if a HTTP status code of 401 is returned, which would then post to Authkit for authentication until valid authentication/authorization occured. Specifically, 1) a jquery $.get request might request a resource. 2) if an Authkit cookie check confirmed previous authorization the content would be returned. 3) if not I would like Authkit to simply return the '401 response' (and not redirect to another page, or return a form template) where a client side exception handler would notify the user and present an authentication form. Can Authkit work like this?

    Hello: I am trying to connect to a MySQL database server (remote), but I can't. I am using an user with grant privileges (not root user). The error message is the following: Can't obtain database list from the server. Access denied for user 'myuser'@'mypcname' (using password: YES) "myuser" is an user I created with grant access. This user allows me to connect locally to every database. I am using the same software versions in both hosts: MySQL Server 4.1 (server) and EMS SQL Manager 2005 for MySQL, edition 3.7.0.1 (client). The point is that I need to connect to the remote server using a different user, not root user. So, how to make the connection? Thanks.

  • Capture KeyUp event on form when child control has focus

    I need to capture the KeyUp event in my form (to toggle a "full screen mode"). Here's what I'm doing: protected override void OnKeyUp(KeyEventArgs e) { base.OnKeyUp(e); if (e.KeyCode == Keys.F12) this.ToggleFullScreen(); } private void ToggleFullScreen() { // Snazzy code goes here } This works fine, unless a control on the form has focus. In that case, I don't get the event at all (also tried OnKeyDown - no luck there either). I could handle the KeyUp event from the child control, but the controls on the form are generated dynamically, and there may be many of them - each having many children of their own. Is there any way to do this without generating event handlers for every control on the screen (which I certainly could do with a recursive function)?

  • Is it possible to get last modified date from an assets file?

    Hi, all Bizarre question: is it possible to get the last modified date of a file in the assets folder, or would that be pointless and impossible? I ask because I'm copying a read-only database out of there into the data folder on application start up, but would rather only perform the copy if the existing file is older than the one stored in the assets folder (or if the file doesn't exist). If that's not possible, anyone know of a better convention? I can post that in a separate question if needed. TIA!

    I'm running Windows 7 and Visual Studio 2008 Pro and trying to get my application to work on Windows XP SP3. It's a really minimal command line program so should have any ridiculous dependencies: // XPBuild.cpp : Defines the entry point for the console application. // #include "stdafx.h" int _tmain(int argc, _TCHAR* argv[]) { printf("Hello world"); getchar(); return 0; } I read somewhere that defining several constants such as WINVER should allow me to compile for other platforms. I've tried the added the following to my /D compiler options: ;WINVER=0x0501;_WIN32_WINNT 0x0501;NTDDI_VERSION=NTDDI_WINXP But that made no difference. When I run it on my Windows XP machine (actually running in a virtualbox) I get the following error: This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. So what have I missed? Is there something else required to run MSVC compiled programs or a different compiler option or something else?

  • How do I run NUnit in debug mode from Visual Studio?

    I've recently been building a test framework for a bit of C# I've been working on. I have NUnit set up and a new project within my workspace to test the component. All works well if I load up my unit tests from Nunit (v2.4), but I've got to the point where it would be really useful to run in debug mode and set some break points. I've tried the suggestions from several guides which all suggest changing the 'Debug' properties of the test project: Start external program: C:\Program Files\NUnit 2.4.8\bin\nunit-console.exe Command line arguments: /assembly: <full-path-to-solution>\TestDSP\bin\Debug\TestDSP.dll I'm using the console version there, but have tried the calling the GUI as well. Both give me the same error when I try and start debugging: Cannot start test project 'TestDSP' because the project does not contain any tests. Is this because I normally load \DSP.nunit into the Nunit GUI and that's where the tests are held? I'm beginning to think the problem may be that VS wants to run it's own test framework and that's why it's failing to find the NUnit tests? [Edit] To those asking about test fixtures, one of my .cs files in the TestDSP project looks roughly like this: namespace Some.TestNamespace { // Testing framework includes using NUnit.Framework; [TestFixture] public class FirFilterTest { /// <summary> /// Tests that a FirFilter can be created /// </summary> [Test] public void Test01_ConstructorTest() { ...some tests... } } } ...I'm pretty new to C# and the Nunit test framework so it's entirely possible I've missed some crucial bit of information ;-) [FINAL SOLUTION] The big problem was the project I'd used. If you pick: Other Languages->Visual C#->Test->Test Project ...when you're choosing the project type, Visual Studio will try and use it's own testing framework as far as I can tell. You should pick a normal c# class library project instead and then the instructions in my selected answer will work.

The command below works, EXCEPT, it prints an annoying ".git" any time it skips a .git directory find .   • How can I retrieve monitor information?

    I am trying to retrieve the monitor ID's as shown in the Windows display properties (#1, 2... etc), but I can't seem to find a way. I have tried using EnumDisplayMonitors as well as EnumDisplayDevices. They both return something like "\.\DISPLAY1". However, this number doesn't always match the number shown by Windows, especially when 2 video cards are being used to drive 3 or more monitors. Is there an API call I am missing to retrieve this information, or is there a way to get it from the registry or somewhere else? Thanks! I have tried these methods: Win32: EnumDisplayMonitors, EnumDisplayDevices: Neither of these return monitors that aren't active, and neither one returns the correct IDs. WMI: "select * from Win32_DesktopMonitor" doesn't return all the monitors, and there is no ID. Registry: I have found the monitors in various locations, none of the places I found have the info I am looking for. Any help is much appreciated. :)

  • Strategies for Mapping Views in NHibernate

    It seems that NHibernate needs to have an id tag specified as part of the mapping. This presents a problem for views as most of the time (in my experience) a view will not have an Id. I have mapped views before in nhibernate, but they way I did it seemed to be be messy to me. Here is a contrived example of how I am doing it currently. Mapping <class name="ProductView" table="viewProduct" mutable="false" > <id name="Id" type="Guid"> <generator class="guid.comb" /> </id> <property name="Name" /> <!-- more properties --> </class> View SQL Select NewID() as Id, ProductName as Name, --More columns From Product Class public class ProductView { public virtual Id {get; set;} public virtual Name {get; set;} } I don't need an Id for the product or in the case of some views I may not have an id for the view, depending on if I have control over the View Is there a better way of mapping views to objects in nhibernate?
