I am now trying to implement a simple HTML webpage scraper using Java.Now I have a small problem. Using layout view in Express with Consolidate and Mustache

I just started going through Node using Express and finally got Consolidate JS working properly to use Mustache as the templating view system per the instructions on the Consolidate JS Github page. Mustache is loading properly, but I'm now wondering how to include the layout file along in the rendering of the template. The default Jade system loads the content of the .render method inside of the layout.jade file. I'm just wondering how to do the same, but with Mustache. Any help is greatly appreciated! How do I get the element after my horizontal css navigation bar to appear below it?

I'm using a css unordered list to make a site navigation bar, using display: inline, display: block, and float: left. The next element that I put after the navigation bar is placed to the right of it. How can I align the next element so that it is displayed below? jQuery: Stop browser scrolling on event update beyond the fold?

I have several links at the bottom of my page that update content at the top of my page (more than a viewport away). Here's the gist of what the update looks like: $('#private-photo div').fadeOut(function() { $(this).html('<%= escape_javascript(image_tag current_user.private_photo.image.url(:profile)) %>'); }).fadeIn(); Basically it's just fading out the old content and fading in the new content. My problem is that when this happens, the browser window automatically scrolls up just far enough so that the bottom of the updated content (#private-photo div) appears at the top of the browser viewport. I do not want this to happen. I want the content to be updated (still fading in and out), but without the browser viewport realigning its focus. I want to keep the animation because if the user has a big enough screen, or if they are using a link closer to the top of the page, I still want them to see the animation. Any ideas about how to prevent the browser from scrolling as described? If not, any suggestions for workarounds? FYI, I have this same problem in Safari 4, Chrome (for Mac), & Firefox 3.5. But what I'm looking for is the following; first check what category the current post (the post that is showing based on the permalink) belongs to, and then only list the latest posts that belong to that same category. Why is this bookmarklet code saying jQuery is not defined even though jQuery is included?

jQuery Cycle : Multiple Instances, detect end of each instance

I am using multiple instances of Cycle for a portfolio; Only one is shown and the others are hidden. Each Cycle is a project with multiple images. The only thing I can't figure out is how to detect the end of the « current » Cycle instance. with after: function, it is triggered for all instances at once, impossible to get « local » events. jquery-ui autocomplete with ASP MVC suggestions not displaying

I have been trying to get a simple example of the jquery-ui autocomplete to work. I have a controller setup to handle the query, and it returns the json that looks to be in order, but I am getting no suggestions showing up. Does anchor href of an image make it download?

So I was using yslow for firefox and my page weight was way high. My page has a main product image and then maybe 10 thumbnails. If you click a thumbnail, the image opens up in a popup done through jquery. The problem is, yslow is listing even the targets of the thumbnails as part of the page weight, so I guess for some reason the images are downloading. For example, I have: <a class="group nyroModal" rel="lightbox-group" href="/upload/topview.jpg"> <img alt="thumbnail" src="/upload/thumb/t_topview.jpg" /> </a> Would this normal html cause the "upload/topview.jpg" to automatically download? Or is it the jquery plugin "nyroModal"? I'd rather the images didn't preload, that'd waste a lot of bandwidth. So my question is, does a browser automatically try to download image files that are in the href property of anchors, or is the plugin most likely causing this? Thanks for any direction you can give me.

jquery ui css not loading and creating poblems with asp.net mvc3 page (unexpected token error)

hi, So I suspect Im doing something silly, but first off, I can see that my mvc3 project already had jquery ui in it but no theme css files. I needed a date picked and as usual needed to override the EditorFor DateTime. I started off today by just using the default jquery ui js files supplied with the project under scripts. The date picker shows up fine, only with a completed messed up UI based on Site.css. So now I downloaded a build of jquery (with the start theme) and followed this page about how to put it together. asp.net master page/content page interaction with style sheet

Learning how to do a master page in asp.net. Trying to figure out how my style sheet interacts with respects to the master page and content page. I can get HTML tags like body and the style sheet to react. But when I call the ID attribute of a label no styling takes place. What am I missing here as far as interaction? I have a php script that echoes a series of uploaded images and I need to apply a class to the first image echoed in the series. Is this possible? For example, if I want to display 10 images and apply a class to only the first image, how would I go about it? Using jQuery with Windows 8 Metro JavaScript App causes security error

Since it sounded like jQuery was an option for Metro JavaScript apps, I was starting to look forward to Windows 8 dev. I installed Visual Studio 2012 Express RC and started a new project (both empty and grid templates have the same problem). I made a local copy of jQuery 1.7.2 and added it as a script reference.  <link href="/css/default.css" rel="stylesheet" /> <script src="/js/jquery-1.7.2.js"></script> <script src="/js/default.js"></script> Unfortunately, as soon as I ran the resulting app it tosses out a console error: HTML1701: Unable to add dynamic content ' a' A script attempted to inject dynamic content, or elements previously modified dynamically, that might be unsafe. For example, using the innerHTML property to add script or malformed HTML will generate this exception. Use the toStaticHTML method to filter dynamic content, or explicitly create elements and attributes with a method such as createElement. For more information, see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=247104. I slapped a breakpoint in a non-minified version of jQuery and found the offending line: div.innerHTML = " <link/><table></table><a href='/a' style='top:1px;float:left;opacity:.55;'>a</a><input type='checkbox'/>"; Apparently, the security model for Metro apps forbids creating elements this way. This error doesn't cause any immediate issues for the user, but given its location, I am worried it will cause capability-discovery tests in jQuery to fail that shouldn't. I definitely want jQuery $.Deferred for making just about everything easier. I would prefer to be able to use the selector engine and event handling systems, but I would live without them if I had to. How does one get the latest jQuery to play nicely with Metro development?
