  I have recently changed my operating system from windows 8 to ubuntu 14.04, when trying to connect to the network via wifi the system just keeps asking for my password over and over without connecting. The connectivity through an Ethernet cable is perfectly fine however and my wifi worked fine through windows 8, I have very little ubuntu knowledge so i apologise if the right information is not shown in this question. Just wondering if there was any known problems or if anyone has seen this before? Thanks in advance for any help, Tom

  I've generated a certificate using openssl and place it on the client's machine, but when I try to connect to my server using that certificate, I error mentioned in the subject line back from my server. Here's what I've done. 1) I do a test connect using openssl to see what the acceptable client certificate CA names are for my server, I issue this command from my client machine to my server: openssl s_client -connect myupload.mysite.net:443/cgi-bin/posupload.cgi -prexit and part of what I get back is as follow: Acceptable client certificate CA names /C=US/ST=Colorado/L=England/O=Inteliware/OU=Denver Office/CN=Tim Drake/[email protected] /C=US/ST=Colorado/O=Inteliware/OU=Denver Office/CN=myupload.mysite.net/[email protected] 2) Here is what is in the apache configuration file on the server regarding SSL client authentication: SSLCACertificatePath /etc/apache2/certs SSLVerifyClient require SSLVerifyDepth 10 3) I generated a self-signed client certificate called "client.pem" using mypos.pem and mypos.key, so when I run this command: openssl x509 -in client.pem -noout -issuer -subject -serial here is what is returned: issuer= /C=US/ST=Colorado/O=Inteliware/OU=Denver Office/CN=myupload.mysite.net/[email protected] subject= /C=US/ST=Colorado/O=Inteliware/OU=Denver Office/CN=mlR::mlR/[email protected] serial=0E (please note that mypos.pem is in /etc/apache2/certs/ and mypos.key is saved in /etc/apache2/certs/private/) 4) I put client.pem on the client machine, and on the client machine, I run the following command: openssl s_client -connect myupload.mysite.net:443/cgi-bin/posupload.cgi -status -cert client.pem and I get this error: CONNECTED(00000003) OCSP response: no response sent depth=1 /C=US/ST=Colorado/L=England/O=Inteliware/OU=Denver Office/CN=Tim Drake/[email protected] verify error:num=19:self signed certificate in certificate chain verify return:0 574:error:14094418:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:tlsv1 alert unknown ca:/SourceCache/OpenSSL098/OpenSSL098-47/src/ssl/s3_pkt.c:1102:SSL alert number 48 574:error:140790E5:SSL routines:SSL23_WRITE:ssl handshake failure:/SourceCache/OpenSSL098/OpenSSL098-47/src/ssl/s23_lib.c:182: I'm really stumped as to what I've done wrong. I've searched quite a bit on this error and what I found is that people are saying the issuing CA of the client's certificate is not trusted by the server, yet when I look at the issuer of my client certificate, it matches to one of the accepted CA returned by my server.   I've set up a self signed certificate in FileZilla server and enabled FTP over SSL/TPS. We are migrating servers - the 50001 - 50005 is one of the things that helped get FTPS working on the old server. I'm not sure this installation would use the same ports?   I am trying to test a simple WCF tcp.net client/server app. The WCF service is being hosted on Windows 7 IIS. I have enabled TCP.net in IIS. I granted liberal security privileges to service app by configuring an app pool with admin rights and set the IIS service application to run in the context. I enabled tracing on the service app to troubleshoot. Whenever I run a simple method call against the service from the WCF client app, I get the following exception: "Stream Security is required at http://www.w3.org/2005/08/addressing/anonymous, but no security context was negotiated. This is likely caused by the remote endpoint missing a StreamSecurityBindingElement from its binding." • Abcpdf throwing System.ExecutionEngineException

  I have the binary for several pdf files stored in a collection of Byte arrays. My goal is to concatenate them into a single .pdf file using abcpdf, then stream that newly created file to the Response object on a page of an ASP.Net website. Had been doing it like this: BEGIN LOOP ... 'Create a new Doc Dim doc As Doc = New Doc 'Read the binary of the current PDF doc.Read(bytes) 'Append to the master merged PDF doc _mergedPDFDoc.Append(Doc) END LOOP Which was working fine 95% of the time. Every now and then however, creating a new Doc object would throw a System.ExecutionEngineException and crash the CLR. It didn't seem to be related to a large number of pdfs (sometimes would happen w/ only 2), or with large sized pdfs. It seemed almost completely random. This is a known bug in abcpdf described (not very well) here Item 6.24. I came across a helpful SO post which suggested using a Using block for the abcpdf Doc object. So now I'm doing this: Using doc As New Doc 'Read the binary of the current PDF doc.Read(bytes) 'Append to the master merged PDF doc _mergedPDFDoc.Append(doc) End Using And I haven't seen the problem occur again yet, and have been pounding on a test version as best as I can to get it to. Has anyone had any similar experience with this error? Did this fix it?

• JS regex isn't matching, even thought it works with a regex tester

  I'm writing a piece of client-side javascript code that takes a function and finds the derivative of it, however, the regex that's supposed to match with the power rule fails to work in the context of the javascript program, even though it sucessfully matches when it's used with an independent regex tester. The browser I'm executing this on is Midori, and the operating system is Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx).   Hello, Is it possible to setup a WCF service with SSL and Basic Authentication in IIS using only BasicHttpBinding-binding? (I can’t use the wsHttpBinding-binding) The site is hosted on IIS 7, with the following authentication set up: - Anonymous access: off - Basic authentication: on - Integrated Windows authentication: off !!
