• MySQL Cluster data nodes - slow SELECTs

  Hi to all. First off, I'm new to MySQL Cluster. This is my pain: I've managed to setup a MySQL Cluster with two data nodes, two SQL nodes and one management server. Everything works pretty well, except the following: my data nodes are spread across an intranet link which incurs latency into communications between the data nodes. Apparently, due to MySQL Cluster's internal partitioning schemes, when my PHP application pulls data from the cluster via SELECT queries, parts of the data are pulled from both data nodes. This makes the page appear onscreen REALLY slowly. If I bring one data node offline, the data can only be pulled from that single remaining data node, and thus, the final result (HTML output) appears on the screen in a very timely fashion. So, my question is this: can the data nodes/cluster be told to pull data from partitions stored only on a particular data node?

• Selenium: How to click an HTML button element?

  I have button on the page that being used as a link to another page. So when the user clicks the button they are redirected to the right page. I am using the Selenium extension for PHPUnit and I would like to test that the button is correctly redirecting the user. Here is the HTML that I am trying to test: <button onclick="window.location='/sponsor';" value="Continue" type="button" id="sponsorContinue" name="sponsorContinue">Continue</button> I have tried a lot of different approaches to click the button, but I can't seem to get any of them to work: $this->click("//button[@id='sponsorContinue']"); This command executes and does not throw any errors, but the page isn't redirected. It works fine when I manually click the button. What should I do?

  I have a PHP code that will return a image. the link is given to 3rd party. so, i need to keep track where the php request coming from. Because the PHP only return the image, I cannot use the Javascript code for Google analytics. I know that I can get the information from the access.log, but i think I can't dump the access.log to GA for analyzing, right? so, is there a way that I can do in PHP (e.g. sending a CURL ), send somethig to Google Analytics for tracking?

• How and when to log account access login with PHP?

  I want to implement a basic login system in some PHP app where no cookies will be involved. I mean, the user closes the browser and the login expires, it will remain active during the browser session (or if the user explicitly logs out) otherwise. I want to log all this activity and I'm thinking that every time the user refreshes the page, opens a different link or logs out, I record that time as the last access made by that user, overwriting the previous access log. But my problem is when and how should I insert another record into the database instead of overwriting the last one? Should I just define a timeout and if the last access was made above that timeout, another log should be inserted into the database? Should the session expire too after that timeout? Or is there a better way? Ideally, I would like to log the "log out action" when the browser was closed, but I don't think there's a way to detect that is there? Suggestions?

  I have my Access 2007 database configured to use "Custom" groups in the navigation pane. I've grouped all my tables in a way that makes sense. However, whenever I update a link table, it loses its grouping. I have not been able to find a way to avoid this. Since it seems to be unavoidable, I'd like to simply have a macro that adds the table back to the right group programatically. I have not found any examples on how to do this. Any suggestions?

• Drop Down Box (select) set URL on postback?

  I have a page with a ASP.NET DropDownBox control (HTML select) that's populated with some dynamic record values. When the user selects a record the entire contents of the page is updated to reflect the selection. If a user clicks a link and leaves the page and tries to go back, it pulls up the default unselected list, and they have to reselect it again. How would be the best way to retain their selection? I currently have the page set so if the url contains PageName.aspx?recordID=5 it will select the correct dropDown option. However I'm not sure how to change the URL's query string based on the selection.

• C++ networking simple send and receive

  I'm trying to link 10 computers together, the program i would like to write would have one 'control' computer. From what I've looked up this computer would take all the packets sent over the network and do a echo with them... right? The other computers would need to be able to send information (then echoed to the others) to the 'control' ... is there a easy! or simple way to do this? From what I've seen i want a non-blocking socket? I have looked into sockets and such but for an armature programmer like me, this seems like a daunting task :) I'm kind-of looking for an easy class implication that has a send() and an event driven recv(). I'm not going to be sending that much information over the network.

• One regular expression to match parts in various positions

  Hi all, I'm trying to parse a DSN (from a Symfony application) using regular expressions, in order to link with a secondary application, but using the same database. The DSN I currently have is: mysql:dbname=my_db_name;host=localhost with a regex of: /^(\w+):(dbname=(\w+))?;?(host=(\w+))?/ (using preg_match()). This matches OK, but fails in my test environment because the DSN elements are switched around, thus: mysql:host=localhost;dbname=my_testdb_name I could just switch them round, yes :-) but I'm sure that extraction of the host and dbname parts from both DSNs is possible with a single regular expression, and I'd like to be able to enhance my knowledge at the same time ;-) Is there a way I can do this?

• Update Store Logo Programmatically Magento

  I've noticed that magento keeps the URL to the logo it uses for each store you setup in the "core_config_data" table. If I run this SQL: SELECT * FROM `core_config_data` WHERE path = 'design/header/logo_src' I get a list of stores and their associated logo. I also get a config_id and a scope_id. I'd like to be able to update these logo's programmatically behind the scenes but I can't figure out how to relate this table's data back to a store name. config_id and store_id got to somehow link back to another table that sets up the relationship. Magento's EAV model, ugh :) Any ideas?

I am getting errors like libs-xerces-jar is of incompatible specification version. And if i replace the jar new version of that jar in the NetBeans platform 6.0.1-200801291616 folder I am getting org-netbeans-awt.jar is of incompatiable specification version. and the same incompatiable specification version error is throwing for other jars in the netbeans platform folder. Can anyone help me in this issue

  I have several expanders inside a ScrollViewer in a fixed sized ChildWindow. The problem is when each expander expanded,the scroll will not scrolling down automatically and as a result,some of the items in the bottom will get hidden and we have to manually scroll down to see them. The target of this document are in the first place sysadmins who take over the day-to-day operation tasks and some problem resolving, and in the second place people who want to learn about the system in general. Is there some place I can learn about how to write something like that? It could just as easily be a 10 page "what's where", as a 500 pages book about "all things telephony". Maybe it should be more than one document really. Please link some useful resources / books I could use for this task.   Hi, so I want to do something like when you press on LogOut, you get a waiting message like "please wait.." while its running ucp.php?mode=logout in the background, and after it has loaded that it should refresh the site. How should this be done??   Hi. I'd like to create a jQuery image gallery of showcased products. It will show one product image at a time, with Next/Previous arrows, and a brief name and price as overlay on the image. If users click it, it will go to the order page. It will have an icon to show a larger, modal version (Lightbox style) of the image with full description, price, and a link to a page to order it. In other words, it's an inline gallery, about 250px X 150px, with next/previous option, but also with a little icon to fire it up in a lightbox type modal window that can have links. Here's an example which doesn't have the inline gallery effect. Here's another, also missing the inline gallery. Is there such a beast as what I'm looking for? Thanks.
