  • creating a full html file out of webloc in a batch mode

    Hi, I've got over 400 bookmarks saved as .webloc files. I'd like to move them to the iPhone's goodReader app. goodReader cannot open webloc files. It can sork with pdf, html but not webloc. Do you know of a way or a program that would take a folder as its input, and convert every single .webloc file in it into a PDF version or a html version - so I can grab the converted files and move them onto iPhone. Thank you

    Contents of check.py: from multiprocessing import Process import time import sys def slp(): time.sleep(30) f=open("yeah.txt","w") f.close() if __name__=="__main__" : x=Process(target=slp) x.start() sys.exit() In windows 7, from cmd, if I call python check.py, it doesn't immediately exit, but instead waits for 30 seconds. And if I kill cmd, the child dies too- no "yeah.txt" is created. How do I make ensure the child continues to run even if parent is killed and also that the parent doesn't wait for child process to end?

  • Getting started with JUCE for Android

    I need to start building an Android app that uses the JUCE libraries. I'm reading the web site and trying to figure stuff out. I tried installing JUCE on an Ubuntu 11.04 system, and when I built the IntroJucer app, the menus don't work right (they flash open when I click with the mouse but then disappear). Can a JUCE app for Android be built on Mac OS X, or even Windows? If you are using JUCE to build Android apps, please give me any advice you can.

    When I click File - Open on Report Builder, I can see a list of folders under Report Server Home root folder. But I don't want end-user to see any of the folders under root unless I grant them access. I tried hiding and removing permission on the folders but they are still visible in the root folder.

  • Copy and paste RESULTS of a file search

    In order for me to get the results of a file search in a readable format, I use the following command line in a command prompt: dir *.* /s > myResultList.txt I then open that list in Excel, use fixed width format to get rid of all the stuff I don't want and then I have my list. Seems like a lot to do for something so simple. Does anyone out there have any recommendations for something that would work better than this?

But is it legal for me to simply bundle and use this product directly within my app (no modification) and resell for commercial use?   • I can I separate multiple logical pages in a text file I create in Perl?

    So far, I've been successful with generating output to individual files by opening a file for output as part of outer loop and closing it after all output is written. I had used a counting variable ($x) and appended .txt onto it to create a filename, and had written it to the same directory as my perl script. I want to step the code up a bit, prompt for a file name from the user, open that file once and only once, and write my output one "printed letter" per page. Is this possible in plain text? From what I understand, chr(12) is an ascii line feed character and will get me close to what I want, but is there a better way?     I saw that on so many blogs. Lots of the people that were dealing with ASP.NET tend to play with Ruby on Rails after working hours. And It is just a matter of last one or two years. Why is it like that? Is it because when ASP.NET MVC showed up people become more open-minded - having joy with programming again they realize that some other folks had that many years ago, and they do not want to miss what they currently have?

So far I only know how to call R via shell with the -f or -e option, but in both cases a new R-Runtime will process the R-Script or R-Command I passed to it.     I have a java class containing all the columns of a database table as attributes (member variables) and corresponding getters and setters. I want to have a method in this class called getColumnCount() that returns the number of columns (i.e. the number of attributes in the class)?
